Miamla · 10/06/2009 20:50

(apologies TS at my atrocious attempt at being american, you do it far better than me!)

TwilightSurfer · 10/06/2009 20:58

well i put the pint away half empty. don't want to spoil my dinner since i bought steaks. funny, dd1 just wandered by my desk asking, "what's for snack?" i happily replied, "cheese stick?" ha ha ha ha

THE ICE CREAM IS ALL MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE!

just stumbled on a dear x's sister on facebook. totally freaky how she looks just like him now, only with longer hair.

i think i'm suppose to be doing something constructive?????????? not sure???

what is this putting it away half empty, ts you have a will of iron!

TwilightSurfer · 10/06/2009 21:03

PICK YOUR FLAVOR I have several choices in my freezer at the moment.

Hi Miamla how has your day been? and the most important question is DS asleep?

I popped to old work today to see the kids - it was more relaxed knowing that I am not going back. DD had her first pony ride today and she loved it until she realised it wasn't a giant cat!

Just made Biriyani for dinner and now I'm stuffed. Dh watching some wierd movie. So I'm off to soak in a big hot bath!

TwilightSurfer · 10/06/2009 21:05

not will of iron just a strong desire for steak later. if i eat all the icecream they'll be no room and these steaks look very very good.

Hey I got a PF stare!

Rest assured, we are certainly not relying on BFing as contraception - our arsenal is composed mostly of even more traditional (though more reliable) methods and of course 'those damn things' - plus such factors as a baby who shares our room and does not sleep through the night; and our mutual ability to retain rational thought through the mists of passion (which I slightly regret, but hey, not as much as I would the alternative right now). Buckets I thought the proper pill was a definite no-no?

Hullo everyone. Hope ALBS and CC you are feeling better, Oops you are feeling cheerful and Cyteen you are tucked up in bed. Anyone else off colour?

sambo303 · 10/06/2009 21:07

speaking of greed, we've just opened a huge bag of Cadbury's 'Big Buttons', and snorted with laughter at the 'reclosable' opening

oopsacoconut · 10/06/2009 21:08

TS - can I have 'Mission to Marzipan' please and 'Smores' thanks

TwilightSurfer · 10/06/2009 21:09

Here's another reason to come visit me. Not only do I have Ben & Jerry's in my freezer but I have a shop downtown. It's a block over from the hotel I would recommend.

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 10/06/2009 21:12

Mission to Marzipan sounds DREAMY. Will have to pop over to the shop to get that one. BRB!

ok now I've had a chance to have a good look, I'll take the Karamel Sutra please - my dp will have chubby hubby

dizzydixies · 10/06/2009 22:17

baby utterly gorgeous, mum doing well if still a little fazed by it all - first time motherhood is difficult enough without all the complications she has endured. Am glad I went though

school fete was horrific as DD2 and Dylan very overtired - let in a fit of temper tantrums swearing never to be repeated

planning application comments now up to over 60 and considering they normally only get one or two am delighted, also got a phone call to say that we may have secured some funding, now I don't want to say anymore incase I jinx it but YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

anyway I just tried to log into FB with the password TIRED instead of my usual password so with that I think my mind is telling me something and I'm off to bed

night all - fingers crossed for us all weary

Miamla · 10/06/2009 23:14

my all time favourite is phish food and as its available here, TS your stash is safe!

Miamla · 10/06/2009 23:15

sambo303 · 10/06/2009 23:26

well, we've had two screaming wake ups already, I'm off to bed

nite all

TwilightSurfer · 11/06/2009 00:52

Dizzy you amaze me each and every day. You are an INCREDIBLE lady!

DH grilled steaks. I made salad, rice pilaf and rolls to go with them. YUM YUM YUM! We ate out on the patio. Actually we've eat out on the patio every day since I bought new patio funiture. So so so nice.

On the subject of NICE...I would like Reese to sleep through tonight, please.

BEST SLEEPY DREAMS TO ALL

Expectant · 11/06/2009 02:43

Sorry really wanted to see how Miamla's night was on Tuesday night but didn't really manage to get on the computer yesterday as DS decided to have a really late morning nap and so I really struggled to get him to have an afternoon one early enough so that he'd still go to bed at 7ish. Plus we had friends coming over for a swim at 3.30 (DS still asleep at this point). Anyway sorry to hear it wasn't great after the good daytime naps - hope your night is going better (that feels a bit strange as it is 9.30 in the morning and I'm at work).

Anyway after a great night on Tuesday (DS woke at 6am - yay - DH wasn't very happy when I woke him at 5.45 to tell him that DS hadn't woken up all night - he just said I know...) this was the first time he's done this since before I went back to work over 4 months ago he reverted to type last night and was up several times and eventually we got up at 5.30.

Cyteen hope you're all feeling better, Albs and CC too. Ataraxis well done on the exam result.

TS hope you're having a good night too. Am envious of your eating out on the patio - I miss my garden

oopsacoconut · 11/06/2009 07:21

Morning all

Who ordered the screaming baby?? because I seemed to have got your order in error! Just as I was all cosy and sleeping at 11.30 the screaming started and it took a bottle, cuddles and an illegal boob in the mouth to calm her down - she then fell fast asleep and only woke at 6 when she proceeded to vomit posset milk between the pillows then poo out the side of her nappy and spead it all over the duvet . So it was a shower for her and I hauled the spar duvet in for DH who is still sleeping and a little

I have just dicovered we are out of porridge so I had best go and find the troublesome one some weetabix.

Expectant · 11/06/2009 07:30

DS took 4 steps unaided......

Miamla · 11/06/2009 08:27

where's the reset button?

Miamla · 11/06/2009 08:44

expectant its getting really freaky now...my DS took 4 steps yday as well!!! our boys are sooo in synch! something i've discovered DS loves is if i hold both his hands and walk really quickly with him between my legs. He runs and giggles at the same time! Your DS has still got the stair climbing crown though
just checked my notes from last night and one of his wake ups was at exactly the time you posted. His ears were obviously burning!

oops sorry you had the wrong order last night, but you didn't have mine. My delivery arrived as a result of DP waking him up. It took an hour to settle him at that point and before then we were having such a nice evening.

TS hmm, your dinner sounds lovely, especially the eating outside bit

sambo how was your night after your last post here?
hope it got alot better

dizz i'm so sorry i missed your exciting news! its all TS's fault she distracted me with ice cream sooo, what i mean to say is "wooo hooo yipee dee doooooo" well done you! i haven't looked at the application recently so i'm hoping the 60comments are good ones (well apart from mrNegative's original one)

sorry to everyone else i missed.. i'll have a reread in a minute
