Look a bobby dazzler in that pic. Sort of reminds me of one of me when I was 24 and a surfing running dude in Australia. I had a black top on and it's sort of similar.

Hi everyone - busy day getting ready for DD's 2nd birthday party (delayed as DS arrived 10 days after her birthday) which is tomorrow. 16 kids, 4 babies and so many adults coming I daren't count cos I'll get scared. Am panicking now, but by the morning I'll be fine maybe not! Main panic is rain - but nothing to do about that.

Welcome back MissJ.

Hope Beth better tonight Dog... poor thing. Must do the carpets here soon - will try rugdoctor.

Tree - am sure "maybe it is that now where is my cup of tea" was exactly what consultant thought and no doubt he was actually impressed by all you'd tried already - not all Mums would have put so much into modifying their diets. You are doing a great job.

Getting another lump in same breast better go and express/massage etc. dammit.

Moose - I have this bag from same place. Is fantastic. I love it and use it even when not taking babies out

Pat/HKZ - glad we are all in same boat iykwim with the unsettledness, makes me realise it's not me making him that way. Congrats on the promotion HKZ - what post are you going into?

ooooooo niiice baaag drrrooooool.

I got a Mulberry one when having dd1. Not a changing bag but is opens out like a briefcase and is perfect for job.

How times changed for me with dd2! Bag still fabbo though.

I can't believe you have another lump! What going on?

Thanks for kind words.

LenniEd · 15/05/2009 23:06

Think I've got an oversupply issue generally at the moment from all the night feeding. Must feed upright at night more often (have been on that side) and need to get him to go longer between feeds so he takes more iyswim. Right, off to bed to panic in my sleep

elkiedee · 15/05/2009 23:55

Tree, I'm shocked at consultant's comment about "delayed" weaning. I do find it odd given that they have to do so much training so many paediatricians and GPs seem to have wildly inconsistent opinions on feeding babies.

Lenni, outch at lumps/blockages. Good luck with the birthday.

HKZ, 11 am is a bit too early for me, would prefer to try for about 12, or maybe a bit before - depends on train times as if they're every half hour I'd get to Gospel Oak at 11.13, 11.43 or whatever, sometimes they're every 20 minutes, but I can't remember what times that is the case.

sparkleandshine · 16/05/2009 06:59

just had 7 hours straight sleep!!!

PatTheHammer · 16/05/2009 07:44

Yay! dads's computer now lets me access MN

Wow sparkle lucky you !

We have had a bit of a nightmare, left ours at 7pm last night with kids in their pjs, they usually sleep the whole way to mums. Anyway Zach woke up at 8.30 so fed him at services. He then cried for about 40 mins (thankfully not waking DD) till we got just past Portsmouth. Must be teeth, the little man NEVER gets so distressed. Tried those teething powders yesterday, now I really know that there is sod all in them but they did seem to offer him some relief, weird huh! Maybe he just likes them poured in his mouth!
Anyway, arrived at mums at 10pm and Zach then wide awake, got him to sleep at 11pm and he then woke at 4 and 5.30 and then DD and darling nephew (6yo) burst in at 7pm and woke everyone up . Thankfully mum now looking after all 3, yipeee!

Dog Forgot to mention the SS thing, really for you, how awful! I don't blame you for being paranoid now but you have NOTHING to be worried about. Some people are so mean, I just don't get it! Hope the Chamomila bath thing helps, and I second the salty thing, we also swam in the sea lots as children and it seemed to help when we all had pox one summer.

Elkie I was also a bit at the 'delayed' weaning! No wonder so many mothers are confused about the correct advice, aren't HCP's supposed to keep up to date with current research, erm, isn't that their job??? GP's are the worst I find, we have a lovely one but if we ever end up seeing the other partner she is useless puts EVERYTHING with babies down to 'wind'.

Ray have a great-time at your parents, my parents used to live just outside of Brighton in HurstPierPoint. They have recently moved just up the coast to Pagham harbour near Chichester. Great that the LO's will always have the seaside to go to isn't it!

Lenni, have a great party today . Hope the boobies are sorting themselves out, must be so painful, poor you

tree check you out getting the whizz at facebook! Finally watched your vid the other day, how CUTE!

Anyway, off to visit my sister and very dear school friend today, should help to make me feel less knackered, Have a great day all x

missj- Glad the move went ok..happy new house!

Lenni- Good luck with dd's party. Hope you get some sunshine for it. I'm going to be in charge of co-ordinating intervention at KS4 and setting up lots of non-written based ualifications and courses...am a bit as have been actively avoiding middle management since i started teaching... but am hoping i can do four days a week instead of five...find out next week if i can.

Elkie- Twelve's good!! Looking rforward to it!

Sparkle- I dream of 7 hours in a row...or at least i would if i ever slept long enough to dream!

Pat- Have a fab weekend!

Dog- hope beth cheers up, poor thing...

missjackson · 16/05/2009 11:21

hkz job sounds interesting - and challenging! And meant to say I always smile at thought of you with big glass of red once you've got them to sleep. 7pm bedtime must be lovely - I aim for that with Nye but everything has been so chaotic over the last week that we seem to have migrated to 8.30pm, then it's too late to really relax...

Meant to be sorting stuff out... MN is so good for procrastinating!

tree that video is tooooo cute! Both of your little ones are just lovely, what a credit to you and your mummying efforts.... and pat as others have said, you are GORGEOUS and young, I have to admit to forming a rather stern image of you too, being a teacher etc! Especially physics! My Science teachers were never that gorgeous and young. None of the boys would have ever been able to concentrate!

juleswastink · 16/05/2009 11:23

hope evryone has a good day

off in a min

missjackson · 16/05/2009 11:31

Love the bag Lenni, very nice! Hope the birthday party goes well and fingers crossed it's not raining where you are..? Pissing it down here.

ray have a lovely weekend at your parents. You've inspired me to start expressing again in the evenings, as I am in London for a week in 2 weeks, and it would be great to have a couple of evenings out with friends! Can leave LO with my sister.

tree and pat am off to check you out on FB!

tink hope you have a great outing - sounds wonderful!

Am gradually catching up. Mum over today so have got to get this place SORTED. Can't stand living in chaos. LO asleep next to me so am going to sneak away and make myself an espresso first... and have one of the yummy choc brownies that my sister sent me yesterday along with some green baby goodies !

Thanks dog; I seriously felt out of touch!

Mum has been helping me get the place sorted today; feels much better. And now she's taken LO off for a walk up the lane in his buggy, leaving me with a cup of tea and the instructions that I am not to do any more work, but am to put my feet up and read the paper. Heaven!

hongkongzoe · 16/05/2009 17:51

Miss J...I have just booked a holiday cottage in your neck of the woods next month...its near Bishop's Castle...but shall definitely be venturing into Brecon and Hay if you fancy a coffee/pint! Going 19th june til 25th...and will be looking for any excuse to escape my batty in laws!

Dog- Green baby has some cute sun hats and some funky little beanies...

having super boring day...watching jungle book again...Jude actually sat in bumbo without crying which is a breakthrough....counting down minutes til dp gets back from work....We sat in the garden last night in te pouring rain under a garden umbrella with a can of becks and a bottle of wine insisting it was warm and we should stay outside, like a pair of old tramps. Definitely need to gtet out more!

sparkleandshine · 16/05/2009 19:48

just been covered in sick by DS1 - why oh why do they get clingy when they're ill

sparkleandshine · 16/05/2009 19:52

or I should say just before they're ill

thank goodness for my new washing machine - it has a 15 minute wash, so his fave cuddly toy is back in bed with him already having been in the washing machine bath and having dried in the tumble drier a ray of sunshine on the kitchen windowsill

treedelivery · 16/05/2009 20:12

Am I a physics teacher? I thought I was a midwife? How have I managed to put that on fb? So not savvy!

Hatts screaming wind and loadsa sick with it. Dunno what to do with her really.

Had nice afternoon oiut at a little town 30 mins away, buying organic local everything and eating in cafe's. No fun when dairy free really, oh the cakes!

Hatts was in catriona the cat armed with betty bunny She looked cute as a button. Bought organic local lamb and deli pesto and pressed apple juive - lived the dream

Back home to reality, messy house and considering take away for tea

Off to catch up properely.

treedelivery · 16/05/2009 20:31

sparkle - yay for sleep but boo for sick. Yak! hope ds1 better very soon.

Pat - journey sounds awful. At least yo have internet. Woo hoo!

HKZ - at sitting in rain having a beer.

MissJ - hope you had productive day and a nice cuppa while bubbs went for a walk. Brill.

Lenni - hope party was fun and your boob behaved?

Dog - was also sad to hear of ss visit. But then, you have no problem so just write it off as experience. Good for the children that desperately need help, but at the people who made this happen. What a waste of resources. That sw could have been seing a child in need, not having a cuppa round your house! Numpties.

Hope weekend good Ray.

rrrayray · 16/05/2009 20:34

pat oh my gosh.. Hurstpierpoint IS where my parents live! i just said brighton as nobody ever knows Hurst! Small World.

missj Still with the expressing...SO many evenings i'd rather go to bed without doing it... but, i manage to force myself into doing it.

Had a dream night last night. Esme went to bed at 7pm, and woke up at 6.24am. RESULT. Shame i went to bed at 11, could have done with going to be when she did. Zzzz.

She had 8 different visitors today and i think its played havoc with her, as she was unsettled at bed time. Very unlike her. Asleep now though. Off to express & try & get an early night!!!!!

moosemama · 16/05/2009 20:38

What sort of hats are you after dog sun hats, beanies, knot tops? Been looking for a nice all purpose sunhat for dd but am obviously too fussy as can't seem to find anything that fits the bill.

I really like these spotty all-in-ones with matching hats and blankets at the moment - sorely tempted to have another shopping accident.

treedelivery · 16/05/2009 20:40

OMG Ray Esme is a bit of a charm in the sleep dept no? Fantastic! You enjoy it. Bloody marvellous. She's a cutie poppet too.

What do you do with your ebm? Are you giving it to her or stashing for nights out? Have mega respect

I really have to get going as egg donation will stop milk

Will start tonight. Oh yes. I will. For sure.
