OK, I have tried catching up by reading super-quickly, but nothing is really going in so I am just going to post to say hello and that I've missed you and I will try to read back properly once I get a proper moment...

Right now I am in OH's office at the farm because bloody BT still haven't connected our broadband in the new place. The move went as smoothly as it could I suppose, but was still very knackering with lots of people to organise and a baby to look after! The new place is lovely but there is still so much to unpack and organise - OH has been really busy and I just find it impossible with LO around. My Mum is coming over tomorrow to look after him while I spend the day getting stuff sorted once and for all.

LO has been great though, not seeming to mind all the upheaval, and is sleeping better too - but still lots of co-sleeping.

Must go for now but will catch up properly tonight I hope x

MissJ - hurrah for new place.

Dog - -Ooo go on then. What do I need

Thanks Tree I've looked at Cath Kidston was pondering this instead of the giraffe and elephants paper. Its just for the chimney breast which is fairly small so not too overpowering with a patterned paper.

Tink thanks, it gives me some hope that she'll give up the night chatting if Bracken has stopped doing it. She is in a grobag so luckily there's no need to tuck her in, but her crib is still attached to my bed so I have to turn my back on her as if she catches my eye she starts chatting to me and takes even longer to go back to sleep! Bracken's room sounds great. I wish I was as good at shopping as you. I seem to have a million and one different things bookmarked online but can't make any final decisions. I think I might put a mood board together to try and sort it all out in my head.

Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow.

DH and I have been to a couple of diy sheds this afternoon to pick up some colour charts as we still have bare plaster and woodwork in the bathroom and toilet which were refitted a year ago and I need to chose colours for the other walls in Elizabeth's room. He was being belligerent and determined not to look at any paints, then hesaid he's not really bothered what colours I use, so I threatened to pain the whole house Barbie pink if he doesn't buck his ideas up! Got my own back anyway, he's had to take DS1 to a birthday party for one of the little girls in his class and he really hates going to kids parties!

moosemama · 15/05/2009 16:13

Thanks dog I like the second one best too. You are probably right about the wallpaper too. After all its only one small wall so can be easily papered over later on. I don't know whats wrong with me, I come over all 'bunny in the headlights' when it comes to decorating.

Hi MissJ good to have you back - glad the move went smoothly. Hope you'll all be really happy in your new home.

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 16:19

Quick check in before I am MIA at the weekend at my mums. Everyone sounds very busy shopping and decorating! Need to MOVE so I can enjoy decorating a little girl and little boy room rather than the unisex nursery they are both crammed into at the moment (well Zach not in there yet but you know what I mean!)

Tink and Dog Nights out sounds great, am very . I have pencilled in my first nice warm bath since I had the baby for saturday night when there is lots of family around to help out. Not quite in the same league as a night out though!

Dog Hope the itching is getting better, you are coping very well! If you ever want to come and clean my carpets? I'm sure they are 50% wee and 45% crumbs, 5% other......

Miss J welcome back! Glad the move went well and Nye remained settled.

tree fingers crossed that Hats has a better night.

Moose both bags look very glam, fraid I have a multi-purpose sludge coloured one with stains on it .

Anyway, forgot what was on the other page. Zach woke up at 10.30 last night when we went to bed and I spent till 12.30 trying to get him back in own bed. Gave in and then woke at 6.30 with him still in bed, sucking away happily . Is this co-sleeping or just passing out!!! Anyway, very zombified today and playgroup frightened the life out of me by phoning me at 9.15 to say 'why hadn't I come to do my duty'.....! Well it's next friday, you would think they would check the rota before phoning, I was . Ah well, going to finish packing and enjoy a weekend visiting my two lovely nephews (newest one giving Zach a run for his money in the size stakes apparently!).

Take care all x

hongkongzoe · 15/05/2009 18:05

Tree Thanks for the link...am now typing in time to the theme tune too. I'm sorry the consultant made you feel like that. I hate the way that some doctors seem to have of making you feel like you are absolutely over the top and completely wasting their time. When actually your child and thier good health are pretty much number one on any mother's agenda. It's completely natural and instinctive to want to find out if there is anything you can do to help your daughter. Fingers crossed she will settle and you won't have to go back to see him.

Dog What a horrid thing to have to go through with SS. Can't believe how spiteful and nasty some people are.
Hope Beth's itchiness is letting up.

at all the shopping and decorating that's going on. My house is a dump at the moment...think the state of the carpets would defeat any industrial carpet cleaner Keep on finding more of DD's orignal crayola murals too.. need to get the white paint out.

Jules enjoy your night out with DH and Pat enjoy your weekend at your Mum's and your bath!!

Right...need to drag DD away from the Jungle Book (I have seen it so many times now I can recite it off by heart) and start with the bedtime hour...only 60 mins away from a large glass of red wine

Dog my great aunt was an old school district nurse and when we got the pox on holiday with her one year she prescribed salt baths and lots of swimming in the sea to dry the spots out quicker - seemed to work as we got over it really quickly and neither of us scarred.

Tink thanks, I really do need a personal shopper!

rrrayray · 15/05/2009 21:19

just whizzing in.

Am at parents in brighton!!!!! My Parents have loved seeing Esme. They only see her once every 2 weeks or so. I wish we lived closer. She has been all smiles at them!

Am shattered. Off to Express & bed!

Catch up soon!
