hi dog

go for it if you fell that isla has sticking out ears you are doing it for her @ the end of the day

tinkishappy · 06/05/2009 17:50

not sure but think i have just seen a little white speck on brackens middle white gum think start of a tooth. she has been teething. i got teeth @ 4 months

rrrayray · 06/05/2009 19:44

tink As a first timer, i don't know whether we are/ you are to be happy about the tooth or not? Hmmm.... I guess as your not BF, no nipping involved, so can only be a good thing to get teething out of the way? So in which case, Bracken Congratulations! :-)

Am VERY unimpressed with my new mobile phone. Having had the LG viewty for some time, when my upgrade came round, i just went for the newest LG phone, the LG Arena. Its awful, the touch screen is hardly responsive at all & it keeps turning off, and has spent the last hour screen frozen vibrating to itself. Charming!!!

Needless to say sending back tomorrow. But wont be asking for same phone.

Anyone got a new phone recently & recommend it? Not really fussed about using internet from phone, or music or anything. Just texting & Calling really. Was thinking of the Samsung Tocco thing, as has an 8MP Camera.... Bonus!

LenniEd · 06/05/2009 19:52

Dog - having seen Isla's ears in RL I really don't think you need worry. They aren't that prominent really and when she has more hair she can always wear it long if she wants. I will have a look at the ear buddies link - have time tonight as DH out, I'd do whatever makes you comfortable though, vanity or not doesn't matter - you're her Mum and know her best . Great news about Arlo, he is such a bubbly little boy, I'm sure he'll be fine. And great that they have got you in the system, any problems caught early enough are far less of an issue to deal with. IMO he communicates pretty well - maybe not with words himself but he understands what you are saying to him which is the bigger half of the battle.

Moose - am worried about you. Have you seen your GP? Are you feeling down?

PITA about the cards Elk/Ray - we get that all the time with DH's business. If customers return things they often put no postage on them and we have to pay over the odds. If we were as cheeky as them we'd deduct it from their refund, but of course we don't.

LenniEd · 06/05/2009 19:56

Def go for one with a good camera Ray - I get caught out with mine since it is rubbish and my old phone was better. So many times they do something cute when you are out or have a little first you want to record when no camera handy. I've got loads of DD - she really was the epitomy of PFB!!! And more little DS is neglected by comparison! You only have to see the walls and shelves of our house to see that - DD everywhere!

EachPeachPearMum · 06/05/2009 21:06

dog I have no personal exp of ear buddies... but I remembered a thread recently about them.... turned out to be yours! tbh I would be inclined to use them if they help though, esp her being a girl. (but then, I did use helmet treatment for dd's plagio, so I know what its like trying to make that decision)

tink thats crappy about period... don't know if they're messed up at first after implant though.

DS is very chatty too- tries to copy sounds we make!

tree are you going m6/m5? Want to come for lunch?

LenniEd · 06/05/2009 21:19

Ooooh yes, meet ups.... MissJ, when is your holiday?

Dog - found this article on the Telegraph website when I searched for ear buddies (couldn't find your link). Doc from Great Ormond Street - sounds positive. I'd go for it.

treedelivery · 06/05/2009 21:20

ray - I don't mind at all you saying

LenniEd · 06/05/2009 21:37

Moose isn't CAT-able Tree I hope she is ok.

treedelivery · 06/05/2009 21:46

Bugger.

I'm sure she will be ok, she has lots of people around her to take care if she is blue at the mo. She may just be out shopping I guess!

LenniEd · 06/05/2009 21:51

Yes, you are right. (Of course you are wise lady )

Off to bed, had nice day out but weary from life with two at the moment. If it isn't one thing it's another. And DD suddenly very jealous and DH out (social life what is that?)... and I really have no right to moan so will go and attempt sleep with my DS who has decided he will only sleep curled up in the crook of my arm. Cute I hear you say... yes. Stiff neck? Also yes.

rrrayray · 06/05/2009 21:58

Tree i would gladly help you out if i was closer! Return Cab fare to me... Masses! Afraid H is all yours! I know i am very blessed to have a baby who loves her sleep so much, i think i massively took that for granted until her 3 night growth spurt party. Fingers crossed for you the Appointment next week helps!

Moose Sending hugs your way. pop in and let us know how you are when you have a spare moment.

Lenni think your right about getting one with good camera. Shall do so tomorrow. Hope they are expecting me to be without a phone in the mean time though. Hope they send the new one, and i'll return Crappy hardly working one when recieving new one. Am sure they wil do it in the reverse though!

I'm sure you may have said before, but what business are you in Lenni?

Off for bath and bed.

Thanks Dog - can't believe you still haven't tested. I'd have done 12 by now, I never had any self-control with HPTs.

Just been hunting out the 2 under 3 support thread. Seems to have moved on and become a bit cliquey as these long running threads do. I do need some time away from them but everywhere from here is so far that I would have to express and can't be bothered am not sure if I can still? I don't seem to be able to get milk going anymore like I used to, it gets to be such a trial that I give up and take him with me. I feel bad for moaning here though - will go find somewhere else.

Anyone else dread going to bed??

hkz · 06/05/2009 22:35

Just popping in quickly to say what a gorgeous bunch of babies! Was just checking out the facebook thread and loving all the new pictures. Ray- Whats your secret? How on earth do you get those headband things to stay on? DD still pulls out anything I put in her hair at 2!

Dog- Do the test already!!

Moose- Hope you are feeling better

And everyone else, hope its all going ok. I feel like such a slack arse... every time I catch up on this thread so much has happened that I don't know where to start.

having really mixed emotions here at the moment. DD was FF, and am really enjoying BF DS but have started giving him formula as have to go back to work soon and have a ton of commitments at the moment. Still BF at night but giving him to bottles of f in the day and its strange because, although BF is knackering I'm really enjoying it this time around, I giess its the intimacy of it.

Have to go in to work tomorrow to sort out some moderation stuff and am really nervous!

Also having a kitten nightmare here, ended up with two kittens who were homeless, but dog doesn't get on with them so the poor things are stuck in a room and am having major probs finding thema home...just went in there and they have peed all over DD's play house...yuk..yuk..yuk..too tired to cope with this!

I think DS smells me!! The minute I step in the room he starts tossing and turning in his cot. I love my child free evenings esp when I've not got to work, I end up sitting up half the night because I want to enjoy them and know that as soon as I go to bed the disturbed sleep and then the morning comes and another day... I think I just feel a bit fed up since we had a nice holiday and now I'm back to reality and it is still hard work!

LenniEd · 06/05/2009 22:44

hkz! Oh no - our dogs would go beserk over kittens too. Sorry about work - reality hits when that comes close doesn't it.

Lenni- It seems like an endless cycle...I'm in the same boat. DS is a lot more 'high maintenance' thann DD and is also at his happiest between the hours of 4am-7am curled up in bed in my arm (and man it is giving me stiff shoulders). I am really militant about both of them being in bed by 7 so can enjoy child free time but always end up staying up far too late and never catching up on sleep.
Moan here! I find it reassuring and realise its not just me! Hope you get a good night tonight.

LenniEd · 06/05/2009 23:14

Thanks both of you - like you say hkz it is reassuring to know you're not alone. I just feel a bit resentful sometimes about having had to give up my career and everything for the kids and then DH is out enjoying himself and I'm stuck at home looking forward to another round of nappies and feeding and DD's moaning in the morning and probably all night with DS putting my back out. It is the neverendingness of it that gets me. But I'm sure it does get easier, like you say Dog you are living proof The stupid thing is I know in a year's time I'll be looking back fondly on the days when DS would sleep cuddled up with me and DD is really cute right now... 'when she is good she is very very good and when she is bad she is wicked'!! I'll feel better in the morning. Night all x

elkiedee · 07/05/2009 00:15

I know that hanging on to that time when ds1 is in bed and ds2 is asleep is meaning we're going to bed far too late.

HKZ, when do you start back at work?

EachPeachPearMum · 07/05/2009 04:59

hkz I know exactly what you mean about your own time.

dog helmet was 4.5 mo 23 hors per day

Lenni- im sure dd could smell me too- we all 3 slept better when she went into her own room.

fymmumoftwo · 07/05/2009 07:48

dog - I would do the ear buddies - can't do any harm can it?

lenni - I try to get away for 2-3 hours at a time by bf then leaving with my mum.... usually works and I can go in to work or do a bit of shopping - just gives me enough of a break!
