Cazzy I'm so sorry

Insy - congrats and welcome to Bear!!

Beckle - how

Sorry another quick post from me!

becklespeckle · 17/06/2009 23:35

Still very tonight and very much counting my blessings.

Hope you are okay Cazzy x

buzzybee · 18/06/2009 11:47

Insy - a million congrats that's so great. Love the name too, very cool (have just been organising our childcare centre waiting list folder tonight and some of the names...well lets just say they wouldn't be my choice!)

Cazzy - I don't know what to say really...

Beckle - have found out I have to eat 4 servings of wheat products for at least a month before I have the test. My body screams at the thought now having been off gluten for 2 months. Don't know why it should seem so hard when I've been eating wheat for the last 39 years! 4 servings seems such a lot too. Apparently Coeliacs is an auto-immune disorder not an allergy so they're testing for antibodies or something. I must admit I find it all a bit confusing.

And happy birthday to your DS!

Clara - I thought the same too about IBS. Have half-heartedly gone off gluten in the past and its made no diff. But this time after 3-4 weeks off I really did notice a diff. And yesterday after just 1 big cookie and some pudding I felt so heavy in the lower belly it made me realise how much better I have been feeling. I would now have to say I really recommend giving it a proper go. My saving grace was oats - I swear I was eating 2 bowls of porridge a day!

cazzybabs · 18/06/2009 19:38

well it was all a bit horrendous but it is over. lost loads of blood ...36 hours in hospital ... but am out now and hopefully OK.

becklespeckle · 18/06/2009 21:58

Cazzy

Arcadie · 18/06/2009 22:41

Oh Man. Cazzy that sucks. Totally rotten few days for you. Hope the healing process starts soon. Hugs and more cyber hugs.

Sorry Cazzy, hope you are ok

spiralqueen · 19/06/2009 16:44

Cazzy & Beckle hope you're both doing ok.

Have you all got your Bookstart+ packs yet? We picked up DDs last week from the library and she's loving the 2 picture books that were in it. The bookbag they came in was a hit too! I don't know whether the books in the pack vary from region to region - we had one that was called Whose Tail? and another one about a Dragon.

Have a good weekend everyone

suey2 · 19/06/2009 19:47

Oh god, cazzy I hope you're ok. How awful.

(congrats Insy and skid)

insywinsyspider · 19/06/2009 20:14

cazzy sorry to hear your news, hope you are being well looked after at home now with your girls xx

Thanks to everyone for your messages, weirdly loving every minute of it and less disappointed never to have my dd than I thought I would be, I'm sure I'll have my moments but I'm so blessed he's here safe, news like cazzy's and beckle's puts things all in perspective, my good friend text me today to say she's losing number 4 too, she only lives a few doors down but will be obviously avoiding us for a few days

Doctorskidaddle · 19/06/2009 21:36

so much horrible sad news

cazzy - take good care of yourself xx

good to hear some happy news from you insy and that is great that you're not feeling too disappointed. Also quite inspired by you loving every minute - hope to follow suit!

dundeemarmalade · 21/06/2009 23:01

blimey but life can be full of really, really big things, can't it?
hope you're doing alright cazzy.

crossing everything for you suey, and congratulations to skids and to insy too.

watching the surprising cool dancers at the folk festival this weekend was sooooo relieved that our three lovely nieces live close enough for me not to have to feel too guilty about not having another go! But oy, the guilt, and oy, the love, and oy, I should be in bed by now!

(mil has visited this weekend, and is rediscovering her ethnic roots. may have caught viral-yiddisher-mama.)

BouncingTurtle · 22/06/2009 08:38

Suey that is fantastic news I bet that has taken a wait off your mind.

Insy glad to see you and Bear are doing well. So for your friend though.

Kelbel - wb! Glad ds is ok now. How scary for you!

SQ - yes we got the same 2 books in our bookstart + pack. DS loves the dragon one!!

I'm just sooo busy I don't seem to have much time for MN these days

claireybee · 22/06/2009 09:58

Cazzy how are you doing?

Good to hear from you Kelbel, glad flynn is ok.

PMSL Dundee at viral-yiddisher-mama

Insy hope all is going well and Bear is settling into your family. Has exhaustion kicked in yet or are you still on a high?

Which bookstart pack are you all on about? I never know when we are meant to get them because dd never had any checks so we missed out on getting one for her and it was only when I got ds' year one that I found out you could get them from the library. So ds has had the first one that came in a canvas bag, is the next one the one that comes in a bookbag? I thought that one was when they were 2?

DS is waking even earlier...this morning it was 4.20. Soon I may not even bother going to bed...

claireybee · 22/06/2009 10:00

Sorry Suey, missed your post. great news about BUPA and good luck ttc!

cazzybabs · 22/06/2009 10:04

I am doing OK - thanks! Just the ususal feelings of guilt, will i ever get pregnant again, and sadness.

i m going back to work tomorrow... i am a bit worried about it. - you know someone is going to ask me and I am going to cry, my class preferring the non-grumpy supply teacher they have had, parent's probing questions but equally i am fed up at home and i do have to go back so can't put it off forever!

anyway i am trying to write my threashold application for a payrise...yawn yawn yawn.

where is caz10 - wonder is she is OK.She must be about to start her summer holidays.

Suey - good luck ttc...I am going to wait 2 months and then try again

cazzybabs · 22/06/2009 10:07

ohh clairy - do you have black out blinds?

What time do you put him down? Would going to bed later help? Or cutting down his daytime sleep...you know i am having this doubt in my mind that you had a boy...sorry if its a girl...

claireybee · 22/06/2009 10:30

Good luck for tomorrrow.

Yes we have black out blinds (baabaa that sticks to window) but it doesn't seem to make any difference, once he wakes up that's it.

He normally goes to bed at 7/7.30. After 8pm and he seems to get overtired and wake up through the night as well. I read on here about putting them to bed earlier to get them to sleep later but when I tried it he woke even earlier, also that doesn't really fit in with our life too well!

I think it is punishment for having dd sleep til 8.30/9am (she would always wake through the night but then sleep in til then)

claireybee · 22/06/2009 10:31

Oh and have just cut down his daytime sleep to one nap (he was still having two) and he often only naps for 30-40 mins so don't think it is that...he just doesn't need much sleep and I doooooooooo

becklespeckle · 22/06/2009 13:40

Cazzy, more unMNlike from me I'm afraid, of course you will get pg again but I know what you mean. Good luck with going back to work, I'm sure your class will be pleased to have you rescue them from the supply teacher from hell back and everyone will be hugely supportive of you, the first steps are always the hardest but it gets easier I promise.

Spiral, am fine thanks , I think the whole community here is a bit shaken still. My boys have been little so and sos lively for a couple of days but I am too relieved they are still here for me to hug to be too hard on them for it, I suspect they are exploiting realise this... I have not received another bookstart pack yet, do we have to go somewhere to get it? DD loves books (and I love dragons...)!

Insy, how are you getting on with your snuggly new son?! for your friend.

BT, how are you? How is your work going?

Clairey, a little late but... your DH may change his mind about more DC... mine did .

Hey Kelbel, poor Flynn and poor you, must have been terrifying! Really pleased he's all recovered now

Suey, fab news about your BUPA contract, good luck with TTC too - its lovely to hear some nice news!

spiralqueen · 22/06/2009 15:47

Beckle and Clairey you just need to take your LOs Red health book to your local library to get the pack - they can have it once they hit 18mths. The next one will be the Treasure Chest they get when they are 3 (it's a treasure chest made out of cardboard with a secret compartment for storing pictures and stuff in, plus the usual couple of books). Think that will be a big hit with DD when she's old enough!

Had a bit of a houseful yesterday. FIL turned up to watch Grand Prix with DH and play with DD as MIL was working. Then SIL and a friend turned up also to play with DD. FIL unexpectedly produced Father's Day card & present which MIL had bought on DDs behalf. Don't know why but felt rather miffed about it - still not sure why she did it

BouncingTurtle · 22/06/2009 16:57

Clairey - I picked Daniel's bookstart+ pack from the library but he wasn't quite 17months! They let him have it since I was enrolling him, they have only just reopened my local library after a major refurbishment. I certainly didn't need to produce my yellow book for him!

Cazzy - hope you are okay, be kind to yourself tomorrow.

BouncingTurtle · 22/06/2009 16:59

Oh job.. yes very busy lots of teleconferencing and webcasting sessions. Plus emailing, listening to calls and rating them. It is very interesting but we are still awaiting statements of work so we know how much we can all expect to get paid (there are 8 of us new PFs at the mo).
