Ladies can I have a moment to tell you about how cute DD is!!

She just had a bath and I filled it higher and warmer than normal so she could have a nice long bath with all her toys. She has spent about 45 mins in there "talking" to me, the dogs/fish/ducks and playing with her stacking cups.
Got her out and started doing her eczema cream and as usual she starts with her "ba" and pointing to all the winnie the pooh character's on the wall (foam stick on things) so I went through them all - That's tigger/piglet/winnie/more winnie/owl/eeyore and rabbit. When I got to rabbit she looked at me and shouted Cat so I said no thats rabbit "CAT" this went on for (I kid you not) 10 minutes I dont know who's the biggest child me or her!!

LuckySalem · 30/01/2009 19:46

No, I'm getting all the msg lily

simpson · 30/01/2009 19:49

LOL at A in the bath

Lilyloo - apparently according to Justine this purple thread thing is going to be sorted soon. They are looking into it.

Tech came on and basically said Ta Da its sorted and we were like "no its not" so don't hold your breath

Don't mind the new set up but think the font size my active convos needs to be bigger.

Lilyloo · 30/01/2009 21:00

Hi all

Lucky I saw your htread but we have already wagged about this on fb the other night

so cute about A in the bath, she is talking so well!

am knackered! dh away overnight with my friend, well not really they are on the same church project and there is a residential.

I thought I would get home fom work 6.15, we have a little chat and baby-handover then friend will collect him 6.30. Cycle onto drive find friend already there, dh ready to go out, no baby. And i kinda lose the plot there and then, not sure why although I was stressed having been nearly killed three times on the way home . Turns out that when dh went ot pick Nathan up cm was still out with him and dh had to go home to eat or he would not be able to. So he agreed with cm that I would pick Nathan up. Cue me and dh having row, friend tactfully saying she would pick x up first back in 10 , me still in floods of tears [why ?]. Made up and cuddled. But all in all it was 7pm when I was home with hungry bub in tow. He had been as good as gold though and had a great day, apparently stealing cake and toast and when placed out of reach pulling it within reach via the table cloth . He did manage a whole Hipp jar before bed and has not been heard of since 8.15.

He does have a cold. when is spring?

madmouse · 30/01/2009 22:06

btw keep looking at this pic so cute

LuckySalem · 30/01/2009 22:13

Do you know what I think tomorrow if the weather is nice (you just watch it rain now) I'm going to take aaliyah out in her little push along car. LOL. Gotta go to the shops in the morning as I really fancy a bacon butty for breakfast

simpson · 30/01/2009 22:16

Yum yum bacon buttie for breakfast

Don't have any bacon so may have to do with sausage sarnie which is nearly as good

Lilyloo · 30/01/2009 22:16

MM that pic is so cute!!

DD now trying to pull my top despite stopping bf in the day pretty much. Think it's cause she has cough / cold etc!

Am trying to get some furniture for DD's room cos she just doesn't have enough space for clothes. Thought I'd have a look on mothercare and :O expensive. Have you all got matching wardrobes/drawers/changing tables etc cos at the mo all poor DD's got is my old chest of drawers.

Lilyloo · 30/01/2009 22:21

Lol dd has cot in our room
shares dd1 wardrobe
and has set of plastic drawers for her jammys , vests etc!!

OP posts:
simpson · 30/01/2009 22:21

Lucky - we don't have matching furniture.

DD has our old chest of drawers (totally ancient) but we painted it and it looks really good

People have commented on it and asked where we bought it from...

madmouse · 30/01/2009 22:22

We have an Ikea shelve system called Ivar everywhere in the house, one unit with doors in front of it pushed into alcove is Nathan's wardrobe. works perfectly

tbh lucky I would not buy furniture at m care, far too expensive. she does not need special baby wardrobes surely?

simpson · 30/01/2009 22:22

Oh that reminds me DD also has plastic set of chest of drawers for cotton wool, shampoo, wet wipes, flannels, talc etc...

simpson · 30/01/2009 22:24

Lucky - cheapest place would be a 2nd hand furniture place.

We got our kitchen table & chairs from one.

And our chest of drawers in our bedroom from another...and they delivered

LuckySalem · 30/01/2009 22:26

I'm just looking at ikea actually and its really good. I wanted to get more drawers but chances are if I get her a wardrobe (£25 ikea) then I'll have more room in her drawers to it may work out.
Also found a BIG "toybox" for £9 which I could use for her PJ's etc.

LuckySalem · 30/01/2009 22:29

Simps we've also got those plastic chest of drawer thingies for her nappies etc lol

Gingeme · 30/01/2009 22:40

Evening ladies.
I love the Ikea Mahmut set. We have the wardrobe, chest of drawers and bed in the boys room. In blue ofcourse
George did loads of walking this afternoon. Mostly in the boys room. I think it because they have a couple of rugs in there (also from Ikea) so its softer on his feet. David said he did about 8 steps then fell.

LuckySalem · 30/01/2009 22:46

Oh Go GEORGE!!

LuckySalem · 30/01/2009 22:48

Ginge - That mammut set looks lovely but too rich for my blood. lol

AIBU - To go to ikea and get her a whole set of matching stuff? lol

simpson · 30/01/2009 22:54

Lucky - go for it?

Link please!! What are you about to buy?

LuckySalem · 30/01/2009 22:56

toy box
wardrobe - Unless it looks terrible when I get there if so I'll have
this wardrobe instead

I'm sure i'll find more there too!! lol
