Simps - good luck with the jabs tomorrow, i really really must make an appt for the first lot for H.

Love the video Madmouse
poor noodle!

Lily - sure i read about the hormonal testosterone peak around age 7 from that book 'raising boys'?

Not sure what we're doing tomorrow, one friend said she is planning a trip out but it's quite far and i'd be on my own with the 2 boys, not been there before so will probably chicken out and invite anyone who wants to come round here in the afternoon.
May try some baking with ds1 while ds2 sleeps....or not, will see.

G - your boys worn you out?!?!

Should we have a roll call for meetup on the 28th? can't remember who's coming:
JKS +1
Lucky +1
Madmouse +1
Simpson +1 or 2?
Lily + 1,2 or 3?!

who else???

off to bed soon, hope i sleep well tonight, was thinking too much last night about all we had to do today so didn't sleep well at all.

Night all

Lilyloo · 19/02/2009 20:54

simpson · 19/02/2009 20:56

JKS - am only bringing DD my mum will have DS on 28th. He is staying overnight too

Mixed mama is coming too...can't remember if she is bringing one or two kids though..

Also Lucky's friend is coming with one child...

madmouse · 19/02/2009 21:11

Hi all glad you liked the video

I think mm is bringing both kids, Lucky's friend one. Filly, Nicky and Fragoline are stil question marks.

It is a bit quiet here. Lucky is having fun with dp, Ginge is worn out after washing curtains according to facebook

I have been online today but not posted. Not having a great time. Dh is still out of sorts somehow, seems a bit down. Two friends who were out with him last week keep asking if he is ok as he was so quiet. Felt like saying ask him and if he tells you tell me this morning he was plain unreasonable and I told him I would like an apology for that one, which I got tonight. Fact is he has been so distant with me for over a week now that i started to think it was me and that he did not love me anymore (yes, we have been married for over 10 years but i still get like that, long and painful story something in my childhood). Told him my fears this afternoon and he lovingly called me stupid . Just wish he would tell me what is up though.

Lily, sorry it is so complicated with ds and football. Maybe keeping him away will work. You and dp all sorted now, talking again?

Simpson how are you? How did dd react to the egg you gave her? Sorry if you posted about that, I don't remember seeing it and I keep thinking about it. Good luck with jabs, i need to book Nathan's. Somehow I keep postponing it

Lilyloo · 19/02/2009 21:16

MM sorry to hear things tough for you. Thought you had been quieter than normal.
What does he say when you ask him?
Anything happening that might make him down stress , work, not sleeping , anniversary of anything? Probably all things you have thought of am sure.

Talking again here but did tell him how cross i was and he listened , until the next time i suppose...

OP posts:
madmouse · 19/02/2009 21:29

He came back from a supervision with his boss last Thursday and did look cross and would not talk. With dh that usually means cross with himself rather than with the boss. He has a tendency to depression, has had some nasty episodes over the years, and is very perfectionistic. And I can't remember the last time he came to bed at a reasonable time, and he used to be the one needing the most sleep!

But i am oversensitive and get really clingy and needy when he needs the space, so that does not help him

simpson · 19/02/2009 21:32

Madmouse ((hugs))

Must be something in the air as am worried about DH too

He is actually ok but financially has to do lots of overtime and is finding it tough...went to bed at 8.30pm tonight so I never see him

Will second what Lily said has he got any worries at work ATM?

DH quiet too as he is feeling under the weather...heavy cold etc caught from DS...

Thanks for thinking of Molly...I tried her with some egg in pancake (shop bought) and could not really tell if she was ok as her poos were explosions in nappy due to teeth, calpol, nurofen etc...but no constipation (normally one or the other)so I guess that is good

Going to brave it and try scambled egg with her ff next week....

madmouse · 19/02/2009 21:38

simpson all that overtime can't be good for dp. How long is it going to last?

In terms of job for dh it is complicated. No risk of losing it, thanks to the nature of the job, but it is just possible that what he is dealing with is confidential, as that too is the nature of his work, for example if he has a difficulty with a parishioner that i know he cannot tell me.

simpson · 19/02/2009 21:46

We need him to do as much time as poss because he took 8K salary drop

I try to do as much as I can ie on Sat its my Gran's 90th party, DH doesn't fancy it as he can't really handle large crowds so I have said he can have whole day off from Dcs, I will get up with them then we will be out most of the day etc.

But then part of me wonders when I can have a break!!!

Your poor DH, do you think it could be something that he is not allowed to tell you?

madmouse · 19/02/2009 21:58

it is possible, but most likely it is something he has not got straight in his head. he will tell me when it is all sorted.

better get ready for bed

night all

LuckySalem · 19/02/2009 22:25

Hi all,

Just quickly.

MM - Sorry to hear about things. I do hope that your DH opens upto you soon. I think it's a man thing - they dont like to show emotions or that they're having trouble.

Simps - Shame your DH is having to do so much overtime. Can he not get his £8k back? Glad egg seems ok for DD.

JKS - Me + 1 and my friend + 1 please.

Booked a hol today. 25th April for 2 weeks to Saoul (Mainland spain) Can't wait and have started a countdown on FB (cos I'm sad)

simpson · 19/02/2009 22:29

Lucky - knew you couldn't stay away for 10 days coz you love us too much

on your holiday!!

LuckySalem · 19/02/2009 22:31

I'm only here cos DP's popped into work to book the time off

I do miss you all LOADS though.

simpson · 19/02/2009 22:39

DH can't get 8k back as he took de motion due to stress etc...

Are you staying in hotel or appt for your hol?

LuckySalem · 19/02/2009 22:48

Its a 1 bed apptment - Will just see if I can find a linky!

simpson · 19/02/2009 22:59

Oooh yes I want a link!!

LuckySalem · 19/02/2009 23:10

rooms

few more

Best I can find I'm afraid.

simpson · 19/02/2009 23:16

Looks nice!!

Was it a bargain??

A will love the swimming!!

LuckySalem · 19/02/2009 23:18

it was a HUGE bargain. £391 for all of us!
S/C but still!

You been to PortAventura? It says its really close and that we can get a 3day pass for £50 each but I'm not sure whether it'll be any good for A or whether we can spend a whole 3 days there?

simpson · 19/02/2009 23:21

Thats a good bargain!!

Not been there sorry

April ideal as warm but not too hot for A.

Have I said I am LOL!!

LuckySalem · 19/02/2009 23:29

lol Simps -
I'm so excited as I've never been on holiday without my parents. Just hope that A is walking by then as I dont like the idea of her crawling around outside so she wont get as much freedom as she'd like.
Also although she's gonna LOVE swimming in the pool, I can see me being on tenterhooks when I'm near there - Maybe I should tie her to some armbands!! lol

AngeChica · 20/02/2009 08:37

3 days at Port Aventura probably worth it if includes the water park. If you or DH like white knuckle rides!? You could also go on a day trip to Barcelona if you fancy it it's pretty easy to get there on the train although your holiday reps will probably try to plug a coach trip!

A Spanish guy took me to Salou on his motorbike once, in a previous life .......

JustKeepSwimming · 20/02/2009 09:17

Right, so
Roll call for 28th:
JKS +1
Lucky +1
A +1
Madmouse +1
Simpson +1
Lily + 3
Mixedmama +1/2

= 7 + 10

Possibles:
Filly
Nicky
Fragolina

Looking good

I slept rubbish last night, woke at 12, 1, 3 & 5, then awake until 5.45 when Tom got up.
He's like clockwork, was 6 on the dot for weeks, now 5.45 exactly every morning. yawn.
H on the other hand sleeps for Britain, lol.

boys still in pjs, Tom said he wanted to stay in them forever....tempting

Madmouse - sounds tough for you & dh at the mo. does sounds like a work thing he has to sort in his head. Dh does that sometimes, gets all grumpy and (for him) snappy which is rare. then eventually he'll come out with something that's been bugging him from work.
maybe just say if he wants to talk, you are there and won't push for details he can't give.

Lucky - holiday looks good we must get something organised for Sept, our last before T is in school then we'll be stuck with school holidays, argh.
also have thoughts about Center Parcs again with friends in warmer weather this time.

My right arm aches from all the lifting & assembling of furniture yesterday!

Gingeme · 20/02/2009 09:50

Good morning ladies.
Just a quick hello to all. Iam still alive
Hope your all well.
Off to Pradise Park so will catch up later.
Love to all xxxx
