Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Well, found the thread but I'm not going to wake it up again. Some people on here are so aggressive it's ridiculous. Makes you wonder if theay re like that in RL.

You were defended though and successfully defended yourself, so well done.

madmouse · 06/02/2009 09:56

Hi all

JKS happy birthday hun virtual diamonds from me.

Thanks for the comments on the aibu thread. Fact is I could shoot 500 holes in this so called 'evidence' but I think we've interrupted the op's thread enough now.

Just spoke to dh Nathan has eaten breakfast, I had made him sone thinnish porridge with lots of fruit puree before I left. Dh held him back a bit so did not give him loads, but he was very interested. Hope this is it now!

Lucky does Aaliyah have bum thrush? Sounds like a doc should see it, poor girl

LaTrucha · 06/02/2009 10:07

Sorry - should have said

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JKS

simpson · 06/02/2009 10:27

Happy Birthday JKS

Gingeme · 06/02/2009 11:41

Morning ladies
Happy Birthday JKS oh good just in time for cake
Just a quick one to say Ive just got back from the docs. He had a good feel, with bloody cold hands, and said it feels like a hormonal thing. Cancer lumps feel harder and are not generaly painful. To keep an eye on it for 4 weeks and if it is still there after my next period to go back and be referred to a breast clininc. Phew!
Right off to pick ds4 up soon then shopping. DH started his 2 week annual leave today so making the most of him
Laters xxxx

madmouse · 06/02/2009 11:43

hurrah dh just rang this hated conference has been cancelled so he will be home this weekend

have just been called a 'cheesetart' on the AIBU thread. Have reported the post but am refraining from posting again.

madmouse · 06/02/2009 11:44

ginge [phew][relieved emoticon]

hope it goes away!!

simpson · 06/02/2009 11:52

Ginge - great news!!

Madmouse - at the other thread. Glad you have reported it.

Fab news on dreaded conference being cancelled...

JustKeepSwimming · 06/02/2009 11:57

did someone mention cake?
yum, thanks very much!
(think dh has forgotten to organise a cake....)

(am trying not to get peed off with him, but really i make such an effort for his birthdays and he's normally a good dh so don't know what's got into him)

madmouse - think she was referring to ChippingIn who supported you and got the name wrong, i think
or getting confused with Lemontart. Don't think cheesetart is an insult i've heard before, lol

seems to have calmed down a little on that thread but i think you safer off out of it!

JustKeepSwimming · 06/02/2009 11:58

Oh yes, G - great news
and madmouse - good news re conference.

simpson - hope you got out with DS?

ds2 currently eating a tissue, do you think i should offer him some lunch......

JustKeepSwimming · 06/02/2009 13:00

Just to show you should never start an AIBU thread!
look here

madmouse · 06/02/2009 13:10

Don't worry JKS, I love balamory too , but you were having them on a bit...

JustKeepSwimming · 06/02/2009 13:18

I know, not enough clues in the OP!

Just shows a lack of sense of humour that some people suffer from....
(whenever i've been caught out, i always come back and or laugh, etc.)

OK, we have a bloke who babysits for us, he's 16 (maybe 17 now) and is fab with the boys. Doesn't get flustered when they wake up or cry. He sits every Tues when i go to orchestra and then any other time we need him.
He's asked if he can bring a friend from school to babysitting tonight.
Previously we allowed a girl who babysat to bring her (girl) friend with her, only happened once.
He doesn't say girl or boy (goes to a boys only grammar though, so must be a boy).
He's what i would gently call a bit of a geek, not a cool dude sort of guy, so i can't see that he would bring round a lout.
But DH said NO. Just like that, no discussion.

when i asked why and he didn't want to say, he eventually said he's read too much about people whose DCs have been abused by people the parents have let into their house without due care

haven't replied to sitter yet.

WWYD?

madmouse · 06/02/2009 14:23

not sure JKS. do you know the sitter's parents? Can you ask if they know the guy? Most abusers are family members, but I can see why dp is uneasy. There is always a risk that this other boy will change the behaviour of your sitter.

You can always start a thread about it on AIBU

JustKeepSwimming · 06/02/2009 14:25

HAHAHAHAHA madmouse, you are funny

(like the skirting board reference btw!)

think i may ring his mum and ask her opinion....

LuckySalem · 06/02/2009 15:07

well today we went to toddler group and she seemed happier this week didn't get bullied at all. lol.
This time she hung onto one of the other kids shoulders in order to walk around the room with him (cute)

She's had a kip and i've been upstairs to try to arrange her room so everything fits and I think I've done it - just gotta put in her knick knacks now.

JKS - your thread was funny but I still dont get it! lol HAPPY BIRTHDAY

madmouse · 06/02/2009 15:32

Lucky you have to watch more Baaaa-laaaaaa-mooooo-ry

Can't get the stupid coloured houses song out of my head now

LuckySalem · 06/02/2009 15:36

balamory? Hmmm not sure whether I like it. I REALLY dont like night garden (and there's a couple of others) cos they dont speak normally. its all wierd noises

simpson · 06/02/2009 15:50

Phew

Tis cold out there

JKS - LOLing at your thread. Cannot stand Balamory myself and luckily DS not interested either.

Lately he has got very into Tom & Jerry and Scooby Doo.

DD has slept for a grand total of 20mins today. Grrr. Have just put her up for nap now but don't want her to sleep too long as want her in bed by 6 (for my own sanity )

Gingeme · 06/02/2009 16:02

Wow JKS you are brave very good though. I often think of starting a thread on something silly like that but never have the guts
Personaly I can't stand Balamory but hey. The town is actualy coloured like that though my two older ds's lived near it when they lived in Scotland.
mm not more chicken pox.
Hows Nathan today Madmouse? On the mend I hope.
We are goign swimming tommorrow. Havn't been in ages.
Well not much happening here today.
Have a good weekend all xxx

LaTrucha · 06/02/2009 16:10

LOl at not liking In the night Garden Lucky - and your reason. Sabela loves Upsy Daisy all of a sudden and I can't stand her! .. because of the way she talks.

Big relief Gingeme. I'm very glad.

JKS - I think it's hilarious that people didn't see through that. I would want to know a bit more about the new boy too.

Simpson - I hate it when DD doesn't sleep. I need a break, especially at the moment.

All is a bit better here today. That's as far as I'm prepared to go!

LuckySalem · 06/02/2009 16:16

Am trying to sort out a passport for DD as we've decided to go on holiday this year (never been as a couple before and we're gonna go as a family ) just filled in online form so just have to sort out a pic and get her "proper" birth certificate.

Dont actually know where either my or DP's passport is either!! lol

simpson · 06/02/2009 16:16

LaT - glad things are a bit better.

Molly has to go to bed with her Upsy Daisy doll and she loves the episode where Upsy Daisy kisses everything!!

DS likes Iggle Piggle but calls him Pickle Pickle

LuckySalem · 06/02/2009 16:18

So sorry not to say anything before

GINGE - Fingers crossed it is hormonal
LaT - Hope your hol gets better.

simpson · 06/02/2009 16:23

Oooh Lucky - where are you going for your holiday??

Snappy snaps etc do passport pics for Los.
