Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Have fun everyone!

ann, glad to hear you got some sleep.

I am wearing joggers today and DS2 kept asking me why I was going out in my pyjamas

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 10:06

right here I am, if a bit bleary eyed

been up since 7am and managed to get DD1 to school (dressed AND fed AND washed - gold star for me), DD2 to nursery (washed, dressed and ate on way - silver star) and Dylan fed, changed, played with, changed again, dressed, fed again and back for nap (gold star)

washing on, dishwasher emptied, am showered, dressed in IRONED clothes and now sitting down to eat my breakfast - not a bad morning for me

so, lets get on with the cleaning/decor etc

Kev you'd better be sticking to that quote you gave us and no fannying about going over your time either - we've only go today to get on, well possibly only until tonight even

ataraxis · 27/01/2009 10:14

ok dizzy where do you want to start?

Peace and quiet here. Just me and dd playing happily.

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 10:18

oh sounds lovely

I personally think we should throwout recycle all of their tat possessions whilst they're out!

I am a great throwerouterer recycler, particularly where tat is concerned.

are you planning on having any more DCs (or is your DH too scared at the idea of 5 females in the house )? Knowing Lana is my last I do feel a little bit sad every time she moves along the development curve and stops doing something particularly babyfied.

ataraxis · 27/01/2009 10:27

ooh - new carpets... let's go down to Axminster. We got ours from the factory shop at a bargain price and they are lurvely. We can pick them up later after we have painted the walls and glossed the skirting.

Any particular colour theme in mind?

ataraxis · 27/01/2009 10:28

dd now asleep. Nipping away from the cleaning to go and do some time on the rowing machine. Back later

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 10:32

am thinking something VERY hard wearing for our lot - coil matting?!?! remember we'll all be weaning soon

I'd LOVE another one, I've always had a hankering for 4girls and seeing as I'm 3/4 way there it would be a shame to stop but its all about money now and the quality of life we could give them, we're stretched as it is never say never though!!

I know how you feel though, am treating Dylan as my last and am SO not bothered about when she's rolling over/sitting up etc etc - was all over it with the first two but am happy to take me time with Dylan

shall continue on without you - well done on the rowing, you're putting met to shame!

oopsacoconut · 27/01/2009 10:37

Dizzy why are you doing the manual work - has Kev done a runner gone on a tea break?

We are off swimming in a bit - I put DD in her cot to get her used to it and maybe have a nap - she is still awake 35minutes later and now we have to go out at least she can sleep in the car!

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 10:40

Kev has apparently fecked off with the deposit, I'm just doing the prep so he'd better be back with the materials soon

what is it with you people and your excercise?!?!?!?

TS at boot camp
Ataraxis off rowing
Oeps going swimming

I'm going to be guilted into walking the fecking dog at this rate and its RAINING [whinge][whine][mutter]

oopsacoconut · 27/01/2009 10:40

Can I suggest wood or laminate for the floor for those doing BLW? It could get messy!

DD grabbed my porridge spoon this morning and stuck it in her mouth (thankfully before I had put any sugar on!)She was kind of shocked that it tasted of something and she like it but she will just have to wait, first we must master the cup.

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 10:42
oopsacoconut · 27/01/2009 10:45

Dizzy - swimming is for DD not me - I have had my exercise for the day

Steaknife · 27/01/2009 10:47

I would just like to clarify it was Hugh Jackman not Hurh Furry Hairyhead I gave my number to.

On with the job in hand. Don't worry about soft furnishings I can pop over to my sewing forum and get the ladies there to run up some nice soft covers for the sofas, chaises and all. Also how about I get them to make some nice round splash covers for under the high-chairs and some of those bibs with sleeves for the babies? Maybe some adult size ones for us too?

A better night in the Steak household too. Izzy slept from 6 till 7am, with a quick wake up at 7pm and then woke for a proper feed at 1.30. She couldn't re-settle herself to sleep so kicked Mr. Steak out to settle her at 2.30 - only took him an hour bless

I think he was feeling a bit guilty as he hadn't been very sypmathetic the night before, but couldn't remember.

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 10:49

oh Oops are you challenging Buckets?!? good girl

morning Steaky glad you had a better night - soft furnishing sound lovely - talented girl

right, Dylan awake so thats my 'break' over

Steaknife · 27/01/2009 10:51

I vote for laminate or tiles on the floor easy clean every time.

exercise - waah hahahaha waah ha ha ha - I know it is something I should do if I want to shift the last bit of baby weight and tone up the tum, but somehow prodding my pot belly and pouting is more fun.

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 10:52

no tiles, I hate grout - laminate bought and I'm not going back to the shop again, already had to take back the ugly hardwearing coir matting

PetitFilou1 · 27/01/2009 10:59

pf wanders in, raises eyebrows about aspersions cast about her and wanders out again as doesn't recognise the place .....and it smells of paint (but only a bit as it is low VOC isn't it TS)

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 11:01

pf I haven't painted yet, its only an undercoat!!!

PetitFilou1 · 27/01/2009 11:01

I just caught Kev out the back with a fag, on his mobile. Have had some words and think he will be back soon as I threatened him with TS's cold shower and dizzy's nail gun

oopsacoconut · 27/01/2009 11:02

I am officially a terrible mother - I took some BM out of the freezer to defrost in the fridge overnight, just offered DD some in her cup and she sucked and then pulled he wierdest face and gagged. I thought it was the cup and kept trying eventually she refused to open her mouth. I smelled the milk then tasted it it was off . I will stick to fresh from now on.

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 11:06

well done pf well done, if he can get the flooring down then we're well on our way

oops has happened to the best of us, don't let it bother you

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 11:08
