Well done!

I'm so jealous but so happy for you I know you've wanted this for ages

Congrats

Chuffed · 11/05/2005 11:18

Thanks everyone.
It looks like it might be a mid Jan baby will find out at the 12wk scan I suppose.

TracyK · 11/05/2005 11:38

congrats chuffed - lucky girl - are you going to ask the sex of the baby at the scan?
You'll have to be jumping between 2 threads when he/she's born.

dolbear · 11/05/2005 12:00

congrats on the news !! still think yr all bonkers ( nicest poss way )
still getting to grips with the one and stuggling ! had me up every two hrs night b4 last
REALY pleased 4 u though !!!!
my other b/friend has been ttc for nearly a yr now and is getting a bit depressed , not sure what if anything i can say
Q ; r we allowed 2 give babies 'real ' jiuce @ 12 mths now and also when is the recomended age for having a small pillow as ds realy likes them ??

handlemecarefully · 11/05/2005 12:29

dolbear - I give ds apple juice. I think it's fine.

Likewise with a pillow - fine now.

Chuffed · 11/05/2005 14:17

no won't find out sex at scan tracy, we already know names believe it or not.
just had accupuncture at lunch time now working on keeping it stuck, I'm sure it helped, it does get a bit disheartening after a long time, 7mths for us. Alison (accupuncturist) is great.

TracyK · 11/05/2005 19:36

I think juice is ok now - though I water it down quite a bit - as it runs through ds like no ones business - as do orange segments!
Little pillows are ok I think - I'd asked the question a few weeks ago on the main board and the answer was yes. Must look into getting one for ds as he likes to sleep with his head on a teddy.
What names have you chosen chuffed?

hewlettsdaughter · 11/05/2005 20:01

Woo Chuffed! Just popped in to see what was going on and saw your news - that's great

hewlettsdaughter · 11/05/2005 20:02

By the way Fennel, you won't be the only one without an April baby sibling - I'm not planning any more.

KristinaM · 11/05/2005 20:51

Many congratulations chuffed and mr chuffed!!! I am so pleased for you both. Oh go on, tell us your names - we wont be rude. Unless they are really bad of course.....

we aren't thinking about names until we know the sex. But we are a very traditional names family and I think you are the opposite ie cool and trendy n'est-ce pas? Though have to say I have toyed with classical names (like Fennel's DDs).Hmmmm

hunkermunker · 11/05/2005 21:25

Congratulations to the Chuffed family! Really pleased to hear your news! Lovely!

MrsDoolittle · 11/05/2005 21:37

WooHoo Chuffed, I'm really chuffed for you
Oh wow!
I'm awfully broody at the moment but we are hanging off til we have been to NZ in September. I was so nauseous first time, it would be hideous on a long haul flight with a 16 month old on my lap.
Wow that's so fab! So that means you are going back to NZ now?

Chuffed · 12/05/2005 09:27

Next May, we'll travell for a while on the way home.
Sorry no names mentioned yet, we had names chosen for dd before she was born too so the boys name will be the same as the one we'd chosen in case dd was a boy and if it's a girl we have the first name but no middle name yet, they are derivatives of both dh's and my mothers maiden names. So pulling a bit of modern into traditional.

dot1 · 12/05/2005 13:16

CONGRATULATIONS CHUFFED!!!! That's really lovely news Doesn't help my broodiness mind, although ds2 continuing to wake up at 5.30am helps keep things in perspective

TracyK · 12/05/2005 14:59

how much milk/formula are you giving these days?

lunavix · 12/05/2005 15:00

2 botlles (one on waking, one an hour before bed) or 9oz each. He gets cows milk too (semi skimmed! -runs and hides- )

luvanix - do yougive bfast after 9ox in the am. I used to give 8 or 9 oz but he wasn't interested in bfast then so cut it down to 6oz.

lunavix · 12/05/2005 15:21

Yes remember my ds likes his food though!

tbh he doesn't always eat all of it. Breakfast is his favourite meal though and he makes the best attempt at it. He has his 9oz at 7.30, then a bowl of cereal and banana between 8.30 and 9am.

Last week or so he has only eaten half. Mostly he eats it all.

TracyK · 12/05/2005 15:24

gosh does your ds sleep till 7.30! my ds is between 6 and 6.30am! tho the past few mornings have been 5.30am!

lunavix · 12/05/2005 15:25

He wakes earlier, usually 6 - 6.30 but most mornings is happy to play in his cot. We occassionally get him up at 7 if he gets upset/major wet or dirty nappy, but if he's grizzling slightly we leave him to 7.30, we don't want to set a precedent for early waking!

TracyK · 12/05/2005 15:32

ds unfortunately usually has a dirty nappy (majorly!!) by 6.15/30 so have to go in by then. he also seems hungried the past couple of mornings and is crying for his milk.

dolbear · 12/05/2005 21:31

we have had two nites SLEEP !! well 9.30-12-8.30

v excited , trouble is we r still getting restless every couple of hrs waiting 4 him to wake uo rrrg u just can't win

ds still addicted to milk three 9 oz a day !! but his eating has improved no end and is now eatong loadsa lumps o not too worried

re BF - did anyone else c them women on telly BF kiddies @ 3yrs old etc ! respect
