Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 16/12/2008 22:37

oh FFS. DH just come home. He is off tomorrow, not Thursday. So we have to go to PILs tomorrow. I have not wrapped the prezzies, or iced the gift cake. DS2 is going to the docs in the morning. MIL will not have got the kids present money either cos she was getting it on Thursday, so she will think we are proper PITAs. I am trying to convince him to ring and say he can't have tomorrow off because he has an important appointment on Thursday that he can't miss.

And the rota for next week is not getting done til Sunday. BASTARDS. and they are open Boxing Day. I hate it when he gets pissed about.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 16/12/2008 22:37

isn't Tbelles DH back sometime soon?

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 16/12/2008 22:38

I am off to my mums to rant.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 16/12/2008 22:41

aw ria i know what you mean. DH's work are just as bad. was told he had 23rd, 24th, 25th 26th off, so although i was miffed he wasnt off on my birthday (27th) i figured its worth it to have him home. now he is working every day except xmas day, INCLUDING my birthday AND new year.
so im spending most of christmas on my tod now. yay.

there should be a law against making husbands with pregnant wives do all the xmas shopping and preparation feel for u ria! lets start our own lonely wives group!

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 16/12/2008 22:41

T's DH is back already Ria.....probably explains her lack of MNetting!

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 16/12/2008 22:42

thanks daisy.. i have my eye on a nice dress on ebay from red herring.. if they still stock it bugger waiting i'll go get it on the 23rd, check it fits as well.

TheTwelveDAISYofChristmas · 16/12/2008 22:43

Arses for you Ria and Natty. The service industry is truly shoite at this time of year.

ria, I'm sure your PILs will understand.

OP posts:
GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 16/12/2008 22:55

nope, PILs will not understand. Have already had 2 phonecalls to find out why we haven't been to collect kids xmas money, erm because we didn't know they were getting any.

DH is cross. It is not because they are busy, it is so the managers can skive off

fuckity fuck. why can't he have a proper job.

i have a bladder infection
no wonder i been feeling so rough.
my house is busy beehive of activity.. packing is going well, doesnt look like it but when i actually think whats lefts theres not much.
currently vegging on sofa, groaning over my sore tummy, and making DH cook scrambled eggs for me

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 17/12/2008 11:50

sorry you're both ill.

better here today. DH been to work and said it's just not convenient to have to work tomorrow etc (he did especially request it off), and they have agreed. So now he gets 2 days off this week

DS2 got ABs from the docs, after an hours wait and general unco-operation from him.

And I popped into the charity shop, and got DS1 a new schoolbag, DN a gorgeous pink skirt and a ski/snowsuit for baggins, all for £7.50.

I have presents to wrap, cards to write and PILs hamper to put together today. DH is maybe going out to make desserts for the other hotel tonight too.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 17/12/2008 12:08

yay ria

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 17/12/2008 13:31

where is everyone?

Ohforfoxsake · 17/12/2008 13:39

just dropping in

have been sorting pressies out for Santa. He has gone a leeeeeeeeetle big over the top especially with the pink stuff.

I keep unearthing boxes.

I have decided it is my fault Holly doesn't talk to us She didn't return my text at half-term, nor my one the other night I am going to have to trawl through the threads to pin point exactly what I said so I can put it right

Don't make me do it HOLLY. Come back! I'm sorry I didn't mean it! It's taking me ages to type this in bold. x x x

Ohforfoxsake · 17/12/2008 13:41

what name is she using now? I will follow her around the threads, in a stalkerish fashion.

Righto, I'm off to be Santa's helper again. Where's the sherry?

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 17/12/2008 13:56

I have just finished my Christmas shopping (totally this time, absolutely not buying anything else!) thanks to Amazon. And I did the post office trip this morning sending little parcels out to a number of friends. Just got some electronic cards to send and some bits to wrap now.

Mind I have got to get us all organised for 5 nights at the ILs (we go on Monday), and we are out for the day on Saturday. So the washing machine will be running all day tomorrow, I'll be juggling washing on Friday getting it dry, and Sunday will be a mad packing day! But for now, I am having a sit down with MN and a magazine .

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 17/12/2008 14:31

my god!
i have mobile phone insurance which i made a clain on when my phone was killed by the kids in AUGUST.. supposedly 48hr handset replacement. ive been waiting 4 months.
they have sent it to the wrong address twice, and its now "lost" in the post and i have to make a claim through royal mail. I have to, not them ME! piss takers

HollyWeen · 17/12/2008 14:39

DUDES...I LOVE YOU ALL! Please don't think I flounced because of someone or something someone said, because it isn't the case at all. You are all fab and wonderful and lovely!

I've just found it really difficult to get on lately. Dp has been spending most of every day on the computer, either job hunting or playing Football Manager. Git! He is seriously doing my head in. I can't stand having him hanging around the house all the time, it is like having 3 children to feed and tidy up after, except one of them is 4xs as big, 6xs as messy and eats 10xs as much as the other two!

I haven't caught up at all, so hope everyone is well. I shall come back on tomorrow and say hi as I am at my parents' right now and when I get home I shall be mostly sitting on my arse and demanding food...'tis my birthday you know!

Thanks for the texts foxy and daisy and for the fb messages. You are all very sweet xxx

PS Foxy I love you and I love being stalked, it makes me feel special!! mwah xx

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 17/12/2008 14:40

Soz, I meant to use my Christmas name! xxx

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 17/12/2008 14:48

aw WB holly good to see you, posted on fb too you know [slightly miffed at lack of acknowledgement emoticon]

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 17/12/2008 15:08

happy birthday holly.

sorry your DH is still at home. I know how you feel.

DH is not out making desserts tonight so no doubt he will be wanting to decorate the tree. The man came and mended the conservatory roof, so I suppose christmas is back on.

I have decorated 5 mini cakes and made 2 hampers. need some sellotape now to do the prezzies for DHs family and have all my cards to write.

But first I have to tisy the kitchen after DS2 helped with the cakes.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 17/12/2008 15:15

you are mother supreme today ria!
all ive done is go to the docs and hide under the duvet with chocolate
and screamed at the phone ppl!

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 17/12/2008 15:19

I think that is enough for anyone really natty. (and one up on me cos I don't do telephones if I can help it)

Ohforfoxsake · 17/12/2008 15:29

Hands up who'd rather be doing what Natty's doing?!!!

Choc and duvet sounds lush. And screaming at the phone people doesn't sound so bad. Good to have a vent and a rant Natty m'dear You stay there.

BTW, anyone want to swap their newborn for a toddler. This stage DOES MY BLEEDIN' HEAD IN!!!

FestiveFairyFay · 17/12/2008 15:46

Welcome back Holly, we missed you, and happy birthday for tomorrow

Natty, I love duvet time and it sounds like you deserve it after all that packing not to mention being pg and looking after two DCs

I have finally packed a box (in case I hadn't yet mentioned that I am moving this week and am a bit stressed about it )
