Evening SOL

I'm waiting for my tea to cook. DH is away on a music and worship leading course for church this weekend so it's just me and the girls. Dd1 has a sleepover tomorrow night so dd2, B and I are going to have our tea out in town Weather is horrible here though - hope it brightens tomorrow - I don't drive and anyway dh has the car so we are walking everywhere - I usually do walk everywhere in the week but the weekend is usually my time for being chauffeured!

NorthernLurker · 29/02/2008 20:24

Hi Bramshott too

runnyhabbit · 29/02/2008 20:25

Evening all

elkie I agree with sol suggestion. Even at this young age, W knows exactly what to do, to get what he wants. Maybe you need to let him know who is the parent, iyswim, otherwise you will be totally exhausted when back in work (and I speak from experience)
liath does this mean we can get excited over a pg test
everyone else HELLO

First week in work has been ok I hate these first few weeks, when you don't really know what you should or shouldn't be doing. Doesn't help that I don't have a computer, so can't do my job, so I'm bored filing

Been really busy at home, but not really sure with what Sounds daft, but I seem to be constantly on the go - something always needs doing.

And J fell asleep on the sofa at 5.30pm, and I haven't been able to wake him up. Guess who's having a late night (well at least its Saturday tomorrow)

x

CaptainDippy · 29/02/2008 20:29

Evening ladies! DH has gone ut to do a bit of shopping .... I hope he comes back with treats!!

SPB - I thought you were about 32-ish as well, was a bit [shcok] to discover your RL age on your profile!

WO, poor little C. Praying she is better soon. xx

GMM - at no one hleping you and C - bastards!!! Bah humbug to the lot of 'em!! .... but yey for your heroic bus drive, EB

Well before bed, my DD1 came in and annouced and that she and DD2 were playing "Hiding Sikhs" DH and I creased up, bless her!!

runnyhabbit · 29/02/2008 20:29

Hiya Bramshoot and NL

I love those days too Bramshott

Oh, and btw, a BIG thank you to whoever helped me with J school admission form. Took it down this week, and meet the school secretary. She was lovely, and although she couldn't confirm anything, she gave a very big indication that J will be accepted (The indication being that she looked on her list, and said "oh yes, his name is on here") Should know by Easter.

runnyhabbit · 29/02/2008 20:30

Ok, so without looking at my profile, how old am I?

runnyhabbit · 29/02/2008 20:32

Hi Dippy

elkiedee · 29/02/2008 20:38

SOL and RH, thanks for the suggestion, but I think part of the problem, and this is totally our fault, is that D's room still needs to be prepared for him to move into it . He also goes through phases, we've had periods of several weeks/months where he's been brilliant.

GMM< I was shocked by your story.

Pesha · 29/02/2008 20:40

GMM - I am totally that noone stopped to help you, how awful I saw an old lady in town the other day who had fallen over in the middle of the road at a crossing, I wanted to stop and help but there were so many people around her helping already I would have ended up just standing there watching, which is the last thing you want when you've fallen over. Still felt awful just walking by though.

Elkie - I dont remember clearly what happened with bfing for you but I remember enough to know it wasn't that you 'didnt get it right', I think it was a case of being let down by poor support in a difficult situation. Please dont think you didnt get it right, its the mws and other hcps who didnt get it right.

Liath - still no Af here either although I do get the odd random bit of very light spotting (as in 1 wipe and its gone - sorry for tmi ) and crazy hormones. I'm sure its the bfing stopping it. DP would be absolutely gutted if I was pg as it would mean the new car would have to go to be replaced by a MPV, I'm not sure he'd ever get over it!!

Hello everyone else

Pesha · 29/02/2008 20:43

Runny - erm...mid 30s, 34???

(I'm completely rubbish at guessing people's age though and feeling extra pressure because I've actually met you!)

Dippy - pmsl at hiding sikhs!!

runnyhabbit · 29/02/2008 20:44

elkie - that makes total sense. W was a pretty good sleeper, but even better since being out of our room (he shares with J)

(we should really get a move on and decorate their bigger bedroom)

runnyhabbit · 29/02/2008 20:45

lol at "pesha under pressure"

CaptainDippy · 29/02/2008 20:47

Runny 31??

StealthPolarBear · 29/02/2008 20:48

Lol at hiding sikhs - sounds like a much more interesting game!
runny- 31!
lol at your DP and the car Pesha!
elkie, hope D sleeps well tonight. No advice - obviously!! If I get woken 3 times tonight I will consider it a good night . I agree with Pesha as well about the "getting it right" comment, you have always been very hard on yourself for (iirc) a situation that you had very little control over . Also, and feel free to ignore me if I'm being too nosey or completely imagined it, but didn't you express for ages?? It must have been so hard to keep your supply going!
No Pillock? Do you think that means she didn't find the bill?

StealthPolarBear · 29/02/2008 20:49

wow dippy-great minds!

Sexonlegs · 29/02/2008 20:50

NL, hope your weekend goes ok without dh. Are you bringing in help???

Bramshott, you sound so positive and happy in your post! Fabulous. Enjoy the wine and your dh.

Hi Runny. Glad the job is going ok. The first few weeks are awful aren't they. Hang on in there.

Dippy, hope you get a truck load of treats - you deserve them

Elkie, I hadn't realised D was in with you still.

Evening Pesha

All ok here. Drinking red wine and feeling quite pissed

Doing a lot of tonight

Sexonlegs · 29/02/2008 20:52

Runny - 32??? I cheated

StealthPolarBear · 29/02/2008 20:53

we noticed
As long as you don't start ing

StealthPolarBear · 29/02/2008 20:53

or ing
(that's feeling queasy btw)

Eddas · 29/02/2008 20:57

hellooooooooo, just donated blood dh on night duty since they said no heavy lifting for at least 6 hours

Pesha · 29/02/2008 20:58

Ok so do the 2 '31's even out my one '34'??

SOL - I was about to have a glass of wine then remembered my friend and I drank it all last time she was here! Although have plenty of other booze to choose from, might have a codka and coke - care to join me Eddas?? And anyone else of course but I think know vodka is Eddas' drink!

CaptainDippy · 29/02/2008 20:59

LOL @ SOL Tee! Hee! Wish I had red wine

Ooooh, SPB, we were close.

Guess you all know how old I am!!? (No cheating!!)

Sexonlegs · 29/02/2008 20:59

Hi Eddas! Can you manage to lift a glass of vino??? You are a brave woman.

Pesha · 29/02/2008 21:00

That should be Vodka of course not codka

And this is before I've started drinking!!

elkiedee · 29/02/2008 21:00

I expressed for a while, but only got very small amounts for most of that time, as a breast pump is so inefficient compared to a baby. But my point wasn't really meant to be about me, seriously, I love the idea that so many of you are thinking of training in bf support.
