StealthPolarBear · 03/03/2008 10:29

yes I remember it by the s thing!
caz...erm...DO A TEST!! Although I'm sure you're right
Mammyjo, very for you

StealthPolarBear · 03/03/2008 10:46

am I the only one wasting time on here today?

Pesha · 03/03/2008 10:47

I rememebr it because if you know someone you can be sincere but if you dont even have a name you have to have faith in them! But obviously I dont remember it very well and am full of selfdoubt!!

MJ - very on your behalf, what a bunch of tossers!

Caz - I would do a pg test just to be sure although dont have a coil so dont really know what I'm talking about! I thought the coil could stop you having periods anyway? And hope you hear soon about school.

SPB - I thought you were an alkie but didnt like to judge!!

NL - good luck for today! Glad dd was better this morning.

Have applied for the job, its only as a filing assistant which doesnt sound very exciting or challenging but I've been out of work so long it could be a good way to get back into it iyswim. Plus the pay is actually ok, better than I would have expected, and the hours are ideal - 9.30 - 1.30 4 days a week so fits in with school hours perfectly, is right amount of hours and would give me 1 day off a week to enjoy with D without big 2 around! Its also just round the corner form here within walking distance! And might actually be nice to ease myself back into work with something easy, assuming I dont get bored

Why cant employers give instant decisions for these things though?? I've applied for so many jobs and heard nothing!!

AngeG · 03/03/2008 11:02

Morning All

Sorry I've been awol for a few days. I had a lovely birthday. But have been ill since friday night still feeling a bit rough.

Have tried to catch up!!

Hope you're ok Dippy, thanks for that lovely text
DH remembered Mothers Day, but I got no card or present Apparently he's bought a card but didn't get round to getting J to write it

NL - Hope your interview goes well.

MJ - about work on your behalf, tossers.

Can't remember anything else

geordiemacminx · 03/03/2008 11:03

FORGOT TO TELL YOU ALL - WE HAVE LOADS OF SNOWB HERE!!!!!

Bramshott · 03/03/2008 11:03

Well to make up for my good day on Friday, I am having a crap day today and it's not even 11.00 yet! Main problem is that I have really strained my right arm (I think from lifting O) and everything is painful. Am also writing stupid bollocksy letter to the maternity allowance people who want to know every day I have worked between 11 Sept 07 (when I stopped claiming MA) and 24 Dec 07. Why they need to know this when it's not a period I have claimed MA for is beyond me, and I'm self employed so it's not actually that simple to work out! O snotty and clingy so I have put her in her cot, even though she wouldn't normally be sleeping now! And am pissed off with myself because not only was I not organised enough to get a decent time for parents evening tonight, I forgot that we have swimming so instead of pitching up at 5.30pm with two fed children, I will screech up at 5.30pm with two exhausted and starving children and attempt to listen intelligently to what N's teacher has to say about her whilst stuffing sandwiches into O. Bugger. Feel like not going but I know that's not the attitude!

MJ - very at your work. I was so pleased to read on Fri that you had managed to go, and that DS had been so pleased. How can they possibly have a problem, given that you arranged cover?!

cazboldy · 03/03/2008 11:04

Good luck with that then Pesha.

I think the mirena? coil can stop your periods, as it contains hormones, but I only have the copper coil (for that reason) and if anything they are heavier and longer as a rule. I have only had 3 though, and was feeling ok, as I have been really regular, which I was pleased about as it meant that the pcos had stayed away, but now I am not so sure............

Bramshott · 03/03/2008 11:05

Oh GMM - I want snow [stamps foot]!! N had made me a Mother's Day card with snow and a snowman on "because you do want it to snow Mummy and it hasn't"!

cazboldy · 03/03/2008 11:07

don't talk to me about parents evenigs atm Bramshott

I had dd1's the other night, which was all ok, but they couldn't fit me in on the same night for ds1's

maybe they should try feeding 5 kids, and getting them ready for bed while trying to cook dinner for your husband and get ready to go out again all at the same time!!

AngeG · 03/03/2008 11:09

Bramshott - Sorry you're having a bad day Hope this evening isn't as bad as you fear. Bless N making you a card with a snowman!!

StealthPolarBear · 03/03/2008 11:12

oh no Bramshott - stressful!
Ange, hope you're feeling better soon.
GMM, it's snowing here but not lying, I'm glad, I hate the stuff unless we're all inside watching it snow and don't have to go out, then it's pretty!
T still asleep Off to carpet shop and to do stuff when he's awake. Our bathroom should be finished by the end of the day - they're coming back later this afternoon.

Bramshott · 03/03/2008 11:17

Thanks guys - I think my main problem is my arm. I know it hurts because I have been carrying O with one arm too much, and crucially bending down to pick up things and put my shoes on whilst holding her, but I can't exactly carry her much less!! And I know that by the end of swimming and parents eve I will have carried her for about an hour and a half in between juggling doors, changing N etc etc, so I'm going to be in agony. I know I should probably just take the buggy, but by the time I've lifted that down and up the stairs a few times, that's almost worse.

CaptainDippy · 03/03/2008 11:18

Hello! Caz - do a test!! Job sounds good Pesha. Praying for now NL, glad DD1 seemed better this am.

On phone atm ........

Bramshott · 03/03/2008 11:32

Right. O is very definitely not sleeping (rarely sleeps in the morning now - I think we need more activities!) so I have got her up and had better go and do something with her.

Will let you know how the parents evening goes!

Hope you feel better soon Ange.

mammyjo · 03/03/2008 11:34

Hi CD, hope you are ok today

Bramshott, lets hope tomorrow is a better day! Hope parents evening is less stressful than you expect it to be

CaptainDippy · 03/03/2008 11:38

Take lots of snacks for O and N Bramshott and let people help you! xx

I am ok MJ, feeling a bit more today; just knackered, but what's new eh!!? How's you??

StealthPolarBear · 03/03/2008 11:46

T is being a little star today, woke up after his nap (usually grumpy time) saw me watching him, huge smile and then started chatting to me
Hope this is the return of my happy little boy who is an OK sleeper!

StealthPolarBear · 03/03/2008 11:47

Right, shower (me) clothes on (both of us ) and out!
Really must start getting ready in the morning again to prepare for returning to work

CaptainDippy · 03/03/2008 11:59

I do hope so too, SPB

geordiemacminx · 03/03/2008 12:03

still in pj's here - the snow is that bad there is no way we are going out....

mammyjo · 03/03/2008 12:16

The only reason that I get up and dressed early every morning is because I have to take ds to school! Would love to still be in my pj's

I am ok CD, just angry over the work thing. Have already sent an email to a local hospice asking if they have any vacancies. Glad you are feeling brighter today. Being knackered just goes with the unpaid work we all do I think!!

Pesha · 03/03/2008 12:16

Ahh GMM - you're posts always remind me of the lovely, relaxed days when dd was little and was my only one. As much as I adore my 2 boys and would never be without them I do miss those first couple of years when it was just me and her.

Ange - sorry you're poorly, hope you get over it soon

Bramshott - have you tried a sling? No strain on yiour arm but also no haslle up and down stairs. Maybe a ring sling that yiou can just chuck over your shoulder and stick her in and out of it?

SPB - hope T is returning to his happy sleepy self

D is being uttelry gorgeous lately! Very smiley, chatty and cute although he is rapidly getting much more mobile Think we need to get the stairgates out again!

Hi Dippy

geordiemacminx · 03/03/2008 12:19

I suppose they probably are relaxed - although at times ir doesnt seem it - I have a list of jobs to do a mile long... gotta get the house cleaned by Wednesday as I have the April mummies coming - then parents at the weekend..
