Oh Caz, what a horrible dilemma. And you're not ruining anyone's lives - I think actually that you and your dh both need to make a really difficult decision - that might not make it any easier I know, but he can't hand over the decision to you and then blame you for the outcome. And you didn't leave 5 years ago and Molly and your 4th child are here and they're who they are.

Please be as kind to yourself as I'm sure you are to your babies.

CaptainDippy · 08/02/2008 11:36

Good to "see" you hotcross - about DS2, poor love - hope he is brighter soon.

REALLY manic here, so much to do .......

CaptainDippy · 08/02/2008 11:43

Have emailed you again about blanket Elkie xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 08/02/2008 12:07

oh caz
I'm gonna text you, really worried about you, don't forget I can be there in an hour if you need me, or you can be at mine if that's what you need x

cazboldy · 08/02/2008 12:08

oh Elkie I know, and I wouldn't change having them for the world, they really are 2 gorgeous little children

thank you to you all for being so kind

might stay away until we have come to a decision, as lovely as you all are, I do not want to bore the pants off of you all with my miserable moaning

2hotcrossbunnies - sorry to hear about your dad's cows x

cazboldy · 08/02/2008 12:10

Ellie, that's very kind

I am ok. - really. Look after yourself and your 2 boys x We can catch up when things are more normal here - not sure i'd make very good company at the moment

PillockOfTheCommunity · 08/02/2008 12:25

you don't have to keep away, moaning is what we're best at

OP posts:
mammyjo · 08/02/2008 13:10

Caz, dont keep away, this is the one place that you can come and moan freely without fear of criticism. You will always find support if you need it, and there are plenty of listening ears. Please stay I really hope you can sort things out soon with dh. It is really unfair of him to load all the decision making on to you. I agree, your children come first and that means that, as a parent, you make sacrifices as far as I am concerned. He needs to be seeing things from another perspective, not just his own I think. Good luck

Hi Ellie Oh to be single again! I want to know who the certain someone is that you may have a brief fling with?! Not that I am nosey or anything Ok, I am! Oh, and I know you do hugs because I was there last weekend, although to be fair, I did kind of force a hug on you! I am a hugging kinda girl

Pesha, what diet are you doing? I am on WW and am doing ok most of the time!

Bramshott, I wouldnt worry about going to the school to ask them for 1 day off. Like you say, if others can take 6 weeks I dont think they would bat an eyelid at a day!

Maveta, so glad you had managed to sort the nursery place and got N in where you wanted. Lovely that it wont be for so many hours too!

Oooggs, glad to hear you had a better night. Hope they get better quickly How are you feeling today?

Elkie, have a lovely weekend in Ilkley, you sound really excited about it!

2HCB, lovely to see you, hope ds2 is ok today

Runny, how are the tiles?

SOL, when are you coming to Rhosilli?

Ange, hope you had a nice meal last night

That is a long post, hope everyone else is ok. F is asleep, not for long I am sure, but the peace is lovely!

Sexonlegs · 08/02/2008 14:11

Hi ladies

Quiet on here today! Enjoying the sunshine I hope.

Oooh POTC, lining them up eh! Sounds fun!!

Caz, I am really sorry things are so pants. I don't know what to suggest other than please keep coming on here, as it is a really good way to air your issues.

Oooggs, really pleased the dt's seem to be on the mend. How are you feeling?

MJ, we are coming on Saturday 23rd August - so ages away. Really looking forward to it.
Would be great to try and meet!

Best go. K whinging!

Hope everyone is ok. x

Maveta · 08/02/2008 14:30

anyone around for quick advice?? at work and very busy so sorry I am dashing in and out..

dh has looked at the car seat and said that it is not broken, the styrofoam/type moulding that sits on top of the plastic frame has become unglued from the base in one place. He is proposing taking it to a local furniture/upholstry shop and asking them to glue it back.

I'm that it's only secured like this in the first place and very as to whether this is what they are all like?? Can anyone advise? My reaction is that I'd rather buy a new one even though we do NOT have the money. I mean it is his safety we're talking about. But am I being ridiculous (of course dh thinks I am) and if this is how they are all built, would we be as well doing this?

mammyjo · 08/02/2008 14:35

Ooh, yes a meet up would be fab! Maybe runny would be able to join us too. I know its ages away, but August will soon come around [scary emoticon].

Feel now as dh and ds will be off later and not back til Sunday pm. They werent meant to be going until tomorrow afternoon, but they are going to visit dh's dad and he has asked them to come a day earlier so that they have more time together. Lovely I know, just feel lonely already! We aren't able to go too as there is nowhere for F to sleep. As well as that they are going to some sort of fishing equipment sale tomorrow and that does not fill me with any kind of joy! Still, I can watch what I want to on the tv, and there will be NO sport!!

mammyjo · 08/02/2008 14:38

No, not ridiculous at all. I agree that when it comes to their safety, you cannot be too careful. I think I would try and contact the manufacturer though and ask their advice. Surely it should never have come apart like that in the first place? They might be able to tell you whether it is ok to fix, or whether the seat should be binned.

oooggs · 08/02/2008 14:40

I want to meet sol too [sulk]

I am feeling much better thank you and dh has just left for work, ds1 at nursery for the afternoon and dts asleep and as usual I am running round like a mad thing trying to get stuff done

caz - I really feel for you - such big decisions - please stay and moan, we would rather that than not hear from you.

they are good listeners this lot

mj - I would find that hard too but think of the positives - bed to yourself, no sport, eat what you want & when you want to

maveta - no advice here without seeing it, the foam thing broke on the headrest of ds1's seat and I still used it and with use it for one of dts - doesn't make me right though - it cost £140

runnyhabbit · 08/02/2008 14:40

Have to say the tiles look FAB (dh gave me the pressure responsibility of choosing the tiles all by myself ) I'm not going to put any more pics on now 'til its finished. Wouldn't want to bore you spoil the complete finished look Still have to plumb and secure everything, but can't do that until the tiles have set.

caz Don't you flipping well bugger off and deal with this on your own! This thread has been an absolute life/marriage/sanity saver for all of us. Use us, it's what we're all here for x

sol Would be lovely to meet-up!

Boys are with mum today, so have been rather productive. Housework is actually getting done Rang a few more agencies, spoken to Job Centre etc...

Promise I will catch up later (tbh, prob when the boys are in bed) Am in the mood for tidying up the house, so must make the most of it

mwah X

oooggs · 08/02/2008 14:43

you are so funny runny

runnyhabbit · 08/02/2008 14:47

just a quick one for maveta

How long ago was the seat bought, and does it have a manufacturers guarantee? Try and take it abck under the guarantee if you can. Just say that you were moving it into a another car, and the styrafoam broke apart.
I would bet that the manufacturers would strongly advise against any sort of repair. Mainly because they are different types of glue used for different materials (various reactions etc) Personally, I would not attempt any repair.

runnyhabbit · 08/02/2008 14:48

lol

runnyhabbit · 08/02/2008 14:49
