(ducking whatever Pinions has just thrown at me)

Afternoon all!

Been to baby and toddler group today with all my girls as big ones have a training day at school. Nipped off to the dentist leaving them there with my friend. I'm hugely relieved - I had thought I'd broken a tooth at the back - but it turns out it was just some of the huge filling in that tooth having come out! So easy and painless to repair. We called into the library on the way home and the girls are now playing happily - B and I are going upstairs for a nap in a minute So a good day all round. I feel so much relaxed than I did a week ago - I know things are going to work out somehow with work and I do feel so much better. I know a lot of you aren't into prayer - but I hope it's ok to share with you that I really do feel like my prayers are being answered.

Right everyone else:

Caz - how awful for you to be in this position - really hoping you and dh can work through this and that he can see how unhappy this is making you.

KHIN - are you out there? How is today going?

Runny - good luck with job hunting.

SOL - I can't wait for our summer hols either - we're off to Mull

POTC - interesting bloke news - we await further developments with interest.

Maveta - what a worry for you with the carseat - no advice except to echo the suggestion to ring the manufacturer.

Ooooggs - take those iron tablets at once!

Mammyjo hope you enjoy some girly time with F!

Elkie - hurrah for Yorkshire weekends

WO - any news from the useless-- tossers who call themselves your employers?

Hello to everyone else - sorry if I've missed people.

mammyjo · 08/02/2008 16:05

Hello! Just popping in quickly to ask if anyone uses those name tag things which can go on bottles? F came back from nursery yesterday and they have already lost a lid from one of her bottles. I am sure you can get the washable ones for things like that but have no idea where to get them from. Anybody know? Thankyou!

mammyjo · 08/02/2008 16:06

Pinions, good to have you back Hope your working week has gone ok

NL, glad you are feeling better about the whole work thing xx

Maveta · 08/02/2008 16:09

Ok, sorry for my fly by night posting and ignoring everyone but it´s been a hectic day at work. I got dh to call the manufacturer and they said absolutely NOT to repair it at all, that they would not even try to fix it but would just replace it. Apparently baby seats are a big no no to fix. Anyway, it was a pressie and we do not have the ticket, nor does BIL who bought it. That is 100% our fault, we are always rubbish at keeping tickets and filling in guarantee details, maybe this will teach us a lesson
Thanks for all the advice.

We do still have his stage 0 maxi cosi which is up to 13kgs (he is about 10kgs) and his head is almost but not quite at the top of the back. Would that do us until we can buy a new one? Or does it sound like he´s outgrown it?

Quickly before I go stop N licking the floor, CAZ sorry I did not reply to you before, I echo everyone else in saying please don´t stay away because you don´t want to moan, it´s what we all do best But if you do feel like you need time away, take care and I hope it all works out to at least a happy compromise for everyone. You do HAVE to come back though!

runnyhabbit · 08/02/2008 16:10

mj what about using the fabric marker pens to write her name on them? I would've thought they'd have to be pretty resilient seeing as they go through the washing machine

runnyhabbit · 08/02/2008 16:11

maveta iirc, as long is head is above the car seat, then you're ok

Pinions · 08/02/2008 16:14

MJ - week was fine tbh.

Was completely surprised by it all really, hopefully it's a sign of good things to come .

I am sure you will be fine too .

Pesha · 08/02/2008 16:17

MJ - I think easy2name do something like that?

Ellie - give huggy guy a kiss chance! When I met dp I tthought he was too nice. 2nd night of meeting he went to kiss me and I turned my head so he got my cheek! 3rd time I was drunk I decided to kiss him and see how it went and it went well!!

just had a baby dumped on me - back later for proper cvatch up, off to west bay for fish and chips now!!

Sexonlegs · 08/02/2008 16:20

Just flying in. I am so excited about potentially meeting Runny and MJ!!

MJ, I use tippex on K's bottles. I used so called waterproof pen - trade descriptions springs to mind! Someone also recommended nail varnish.

NL, Mull is beautiful.

B has a friend round from school, and B is being an utter nightmare. Showing off, etc. So embarrassing!

Back later.

Sexonlegs · 08/02/2008 16:28

Pesha, my gran lives in West Bay!! I love it there. Enjoy your fish and chips.

Octothechildherder · 08/02/2008 17:12

OOOh I love Rhosilli - we tend to stay at Oxwich or Llangennith I have relatives in the Mumbles which is handy too!

School disco tonight arrrghhhhh must dash!

Sexonlegs · 08/02/2008 17:24

HELP!!!!! FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH DC'S WHO HAVE HAD FRIENDS BACK FOR TEA.

B's friend pood and weed in the bath .

I am absolutely gobsmacked.

So, do I say anything to her mum, or not. I don't want to embarrass anyone, but I would be mortified if B had done that.

NorthernLurker · 08/02/2008 17:26

You have to tell mum - but make light of it.
Between you and me (and the rest of the www)can I say eeeeeeeeeeek - how nice for you (not) - will you be inviting this little friend again

mammyjo · 08/02/2008 17:27

Maybe it is normal for her though? I wouldnt be happy about it if ds did that, and actually he knows he shouldnt, but maybe they are not bothered about it iykwim. I remember as a child my cousin doing that same thing in the bath in my house when they were staying with us. I was horrified, but my uncle just said "oh dear" and scooped the offending floaters out of there

NorthernLurker · 08/02/2008 17:28

that's why you have to make light of it - just in case.

mammyjo · 08/02/2008 17:29

I have just had a lightbulb moment. She wasnt actually having a bath was she!! In that case, no not normal for anyone, and EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!!

Sexonlegs · 08/02/2008 17:33

No, not having a bath, just did it. Wee all over the bath mat an' all!

Pinions · 08/02/2008 17:35

Lurvely. Maybe she panicked, or maybe someone else was on the toilet at the time she needed to go.

Hmm to mention it or not ?? Not sure ?? You will die of embarrassment. Is it normal? I would hope not.

Sexonlegs · 08/02/2008 17:38

Who knows. I won't say anything though, and will just see what happens next time she comes to play !!

oooggs · 08/02/2008 18:37

MAVETA - DTS STILL IN STAGE 0 CAR SEATS (Jack is 23lb+) AND AS LONG AS HIS HEAD not at the top then he is fine

sorry Jack turned caps locks on and I didn't notice can't touch type

geordiemacminx · 08/02/2008 19:01

Hey ladies;

Not had time to catch up - manic day here, C is still poorly, had him to the doctors this afternoon (neurotic mummy emoticon) - The poor wee soul has conjunctivitus and a viral chest and ear infection. He has green stuff coming out of every imaginable orifus bless him. So we have antibiotics, eye drops and nose drops.

I am absolutely worn out, seem to have never stopped today, even though I've done nowt - house looks like a bomb has hit it and never made it to Tesco.

Dp just gone out for fish and chips as we have been on diet 4 weeks now and I have lost 12lb!!

Hope everyone is well.

xxx

Maveta · 08/02/2008 19:06

SOL that´s really really weird. I guess you should say something but not sure how.. eeek (i thought you meant she was in the bath at the time so at first thought, well I´ve heard it happens so not as big a deal..)

NL - glad you feel things are coming right

Oooggs - thanks for that.. his head is more or less at the top, but not over it. that´s where I´m confused.

I am so tired, called boss all pm trying to go over a big quote with her and she didn´t get back to me until after 5pm when I was at home. And then got all heavy about it saying it still had to be done tonight so I only just got everything finished at 7pm while dh did bath etc with N. Barely got a chance to play with N . Her disorganisation makes me so cross and makes me really wonder how I´m going to manage this summer juggling a very demanding boss/job with N.

cazboldy · 08/02/2008 19:09

hiya all - couldn't stay away.

Molly is still in her stage 0 car seat, although the next one is all ready to go!

SOL at your lo's friend - yuk clearing up after your own kiddies is bad enough!

Sexonlegs · 08/02/2008 19:14

Having asked for no more weeing or pooing in the bath, she weed again.

Evening Caz.

Mav, your boss sounds like hard work!

AngeG · 08/02/2008 19:22

Hello ladies

Had a lovely meal out last night thanks.
Been to Brighton today to the Bravissimo shop. Bought 3 lovely bras I got fitted and they said I'm a 30FF really comfortable bras though.

Have read all but have retained little as always.

Maveta - Have to say I'd probably buy a new seat, as I think you've decided to. I believe the first stage seats are fine until their eyes are over the back of the seat, so you should have a little while yet.

Oooggs - Glad you're feeling better today. Keep taking the iron. I have loads of Spatone sachets here if they are of any use to you?

SOl- yuck to the bath incident, bit strange Did you ask her why she did it?

GMM - Poor C hope he's better soon. Fantastic on losing 12lbs

Back later, just off to have chinese, yum yum.
