Ellie - I'll bring my drinks list with me What we were drinking sat was very nice, well apart from the yurgerlurgerurger meister stuff!

KHIN - not much to say except echo what others have already said. Sounds awful though and you are really are doing amazingly well to be managing so much. Please do keep coming on here to rant at us Hope the dr is able to help abit.

Dippy - glad P is seeming much better even if it does mean less lie ins! And good luck with this job!

Hi Liath

RH - sounds like the bathroom is coming on well now, just keep thinking how lovely it'll be when its all done!

Maveta - sorry you're feeling so about working ft. You'll just have to get on with number 2 so you can go on mat leave again!!
Sorry not very helpful
And def agree about mummy guilt, its a permanent part of being a mummy because you love them so much and want to be perfect for them but thats just not possible so we end up feeling guilty whatever we do.

Elkie - hope D had a decent sleep for you. My D got woken up by bloody work men doing some sort of drilling crap outside Although to be fair he'd been asleep an hour and a half which is longer than yesterday so prob would have woken soon anyway!

Bramshott - I would definitely take N out of school for the day! For one day in reception I dont see what harm it does. I woyuld aske school's permission but then prob take her whether they said yes or not!! Where is Thomasland? Think we will definitely have to visit there at some point! DS1 used to be obsessed by Thomas although has calmed down a bit now hes older but still very keen.

NL - hope yopu can get the boob sorted before it develops into anything worse.

MJ - hows the tidying going? I had a massive tidying week last week but just cant seem to be bothered to do anything this week

Apologies and hello to anyone I've missed!!

Got up again this morning to do exercise video as D woke up just before 6 so thought I might as well! I'm at the frustrated phase atm though, following strict (although very yummy and filling so not too bad!) diet and exercising every day and nothing to show for it yet Hopefully wont be long though

Gorgeous dress NL!!

DD is meant to be being a bridesmaid for SIL in June (I think although have heard nothing since last summer ) I really hope she'll get to wear something lovely like that although knowing sil I doubt it!
Actually now I think about it when we were rtalking dates for holidays no mention was made of them not being able to do June cos of wedding Last year she didnt shut up about it but no mention for ages, will have to get dp to find out if its been cancelled or postponed. Fingers crossed for cancelled!!

Will ring and ask for another form, what do I say if they ask why though??

CaptainDippy · 07/02/2008 14:23

Gorgeous dresses, NL - Gotta buzz .......

AngeG · 07/02/2008 14:27

Tell them your dog ate it Pesha

Seriously if they ask just tell them your child tipped their drink on it.

NorthernLurker · 07/02/2008 14:27

Pesha - i really don't think they will ask why - if i was interviewing i would just say 'oh right' and do so. People do make mistakes - you won't be the only one

NorthernLurker · 07/02/2008 14:28

if we're going with spilt drink - say dh spilt drink - it's funnier!

AngeG · 07/02/2008 14:32

Agree with NL DH is funnier
Also agree that they are very unlikely to ask.

geordiemacminx · 07/02/2008 14:33

Afternoon

NL - The dress is gorgeous - I would get some little bells from a haberdashery store and sew them into the bottom hem so that the jingle when the walk - ever so cute!!

Pesha - would definately ask for another form

Dippy - hope the interview goes ok, you never know they might be able to give you more hours eventually.

Ange - knees are ok, a lot better than last week - dont think they are as damaged as doctor made out. Not sure when to start running again, find out next week whether I have a place in the GNR. C is ok, took him to Baby Sensory, wasnt sure but it got us out of he house and has worn him out so he is in bed just now. Happy days

NorthernLurker · 07/02/2008 14:35

[warning - cooing daft mother alert]
can i just share that i've been sat here with b on my knee for 1/2 an hour - she was asleep in travel cot wok after 40 mins but then went back off when i picked her up. She is the lovliest little warm bundle with pink cheeks and i love her to bits!

NorthernLurker · 07/02/2008 14:37

ooh bells! But i think dd1 will be a bit old tbh - 10 by then. Will tell the bride anyway

CaptainDippy · 07/02/2008 14:50

Awwwww, NL - so sweet. My babies have never fallen asleep on me, hardly ever anyway

Can I just tell you how hurt and upset I am!!? My (ex) boss said that in return for a doing few hours while they are closing down I could have the back carrier I have been coverting for aaaages for trade price; and she's just text me to say that she's sold it. I thought she was putting it aside for me, but obviously not.

Ahem.

Do they do that dress in my size, NL!!?

AngeG · 07/02/2008 14:51

GMM - Glad knees are getting better. Probably best to keep away from training until they feel totally better and then slowly easy back into it again. Love the idea of the bells.

NL - It's just lovely when they're asleep on you

AngeG · 07/02/2008 14:52

Dippy.

CaptainDippy · 07/02/2008 14:53
Sad
geordiemacminx · 07/02/2008 14:56

Dippy - I would be really tempted to tell your ex boss what you thought of her and that you have helped her out yesterday as a favour and that you are hurt and upset by the way she has shafted you. Dont worry though - she'll get hers

AuntieMeemz · 07/02/2008 15:06

runny, we have a vapouriser too (or a selection acutally) one fills the room with steam, and is the only thing that stops DS having terrible probs with his nose.

off to get the littlies from nursery now. Have had no work all week, mortgage is due in 2 weeks, and no money to pay it! Crossing fingers that a temp job will turn up, then a perm job later.

How is eveyrone, did you hve a nice weekend- has anyone sobered up yet?

NorthernLurker · 07/02/2008 16:17

Dippy - am outraged on your behalf. What an ungrateful cow (and I don't say that lightly) You aren't going to do anymore hours are you? I know you will need a reference etc - but if they ask I would just say you can't because of child illness and leave it at that! What sort of back carrier was it? Oh - and sadly no, they don't do that dress in your size!

Auntiemeemz - oh dear - hope something turns up asap

GMM - good to hear your knees are on the mend.

Ange - it is lovely isn't it? Dd1 was never much of a one for falling asleep on you but dd2 and dd3 have both been champs at it - and I love it

Rang work earlier and now feel very much more positive that there is going to be a good role for me when I go back.

StealthPolarBear · 07/02/2008 16:51

Pesha was it posted?
If so I'd just ask for a form. If they say they already sent it, just say oh dear I haven't got it yet - plead ignorance.
Well don't be really ignorant, like grunting or anything!
dippy at your boss

runnyhabbit · 07/02/2008 16:58
