Was meant to also say - hope its nothing serious.

weeonion · 10/02/2008 21:04

spb - i am more than happy to read your flexible work request but as i still havent heard back from my appeal - dont know if i would be much help!!
pesh - i know what you mean about htem being too awake to feed! c is so easily distracted when full of energy so doesnt take much and then wants some later. i have shifted her food times and it seems to have helped a bit - she is now getting her dinner at 6ish with a bf at 7, bath and into bed for 7.30. most nights shes asleep by 8.
caz - good news on the house. my mum and dad have always been in a house tied to his job. its an extra pressure in many ways - to have them both linked. didnt work out a couple of times - once there was 6 of us in a 2 bed cottage. hope you and dh are ok as well.

weeonion · 10/02/2008 21:05

oh yep spb - what is the injury and .. how was it sustained??
gmm - how is c today after a couple of days of Abs?

Sexonlegs · 10/02/2008 21:14

Evening.

Sounds like we have all had lovely days.

SPB, sorry T isn't sleeping well sstill. And yes, prey tell what is your drinking injury???

Caz, good on you taking the bull by the horns so to speak. Great news indeed.

Oooggs, delighted to hear there has been no more sick - let's hope that is the end of it all now. x

Pillock, why so tired???

Pesha, sounds like you have had a manic weekend! Poor D falling asleep in his tea bless him!!

Good to see you WO.

Hope everyone is ok. IDOC not been around for an age has she??

We had a fab day at the beach - the weather was amazing, and B and K have been on great form.

StealthPolarBear · 10/02/2008 21:16

My finger is hanging off! OK I have a tiny gouge, but thought I'd exaggerate as I would if I was a man!
I was opening a bottle of wine (my first, I promise) and we have one of those funny corkscrews where you twist it in then lever it on the neck of the bottle iywsim. Well that slipped and the blunt bit of the corkscrew gouged a lump of skin out of my finger. Never mind, DH put a plaster on it and I have had a medicinal glass! Remind me to stick to screw caps from now on!
wo, i actually meant to ask SOL, but I've just realised that that comment was aimed at you, as the last poster! I would be interested in comments if you have time to read it, but please don't worry if you're sick of doing your own and never want to see another one!

Sexonlegs · 10/02/2008 21:21

SPB, pmsl at your exaggeration!! I hate it when I buy a non-screw cap wine - takes far too long to get in to it.

I would be more than happy to look at your application for flexible working. I am the talk talk email address.

StealthPolarBear · 10/02/2008 21:28

T awake and not settling aaargh
Thanks you two, will send it tomorrow, hope that's OK?

Pesha · 10/02/2008 21:29

PMSL - you should get the boxes like I do, is a pain to open but then its 4 bottles at the press of a button!! Although that probably goes a long way to explaining friday night

Should probably point out I only get them as dp gets em cheap from work so I have to force myself to drink a whole box before it goes off! Otherwise I'd be virtually teetotal obviously!

Pesha · 10/02/2008 21:29

SPB

Sexonlegs · 10/02/2008 21:38

SPB, I feel for you I really do; you must be exhausted. Hope you are ok. Send me the email when you are ready. I am at work tomorrow, but will get back to you in the evening. Hope you have an ok night.

Pesha, an idea indeed - a wine box! I wouldn't be able to control myself tho. I love red wine!

Right, dh getting naffed off with me typing, plus I have a flake that needs eating, so see you all gorgeous ladies tomorrow.

tell all pillock?

StealthPolarBear · 10/02/2008 22:24

just seen the party gift / party bag thread
how very strange

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/02/2008 22:59

very strange indeed!

I went out with some friends, two of the lads are off to Oz for a year, and I only really knew one of them. Well, I kinda ended up attached at the hip to the other one for most of the night

no kissing or anything, but he walked with his arm round me, held hands, i sat on his knee, all stuff Cath tells me is quite normal but not something I've really known before! it was really nice just to feel wanted, and we both just seemed to realise it wasn't something that would continue past last night, so it stayed at dancing and chatting, didn't go further, made made me feel great

(but also made me stay out much later than intended!)

I HAVE HAD A BATH - IN MY NEW BATH[GRIN][GRIN]

It was lovely

(except the cold tap doesn't work, shower isn't fitted, plaster hasn't called backetc...)

runnyhabbit · 10/02/2008 23:05

meant to say

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/02/2008 23:06

so where are the pictures?????

OP posts:
runnyhabbit · 10/02/2008 23:21

battery flat on camera

plus I want to do all those last minute finishing touches a la changing rooms/diy sos. You know, where they fluff up the towels and light the candles for the camera close up

(and I don't do candles, so would have have the window blind pulled just so, which reminds me, need to make a list of all the stuff I need to get. inc a new window blind)

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 06:31

dont forget colour coordinated bath foam and a duck

Eddas · 11/02/2008 08:21

hi everyone, what have I missed?

In eddas news, our front room is now painted yipeee! I went out on sat night and had one too many, hence the lack of mning over the past few days

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 08:47

hi eddas!
what colour is your front room?

Maveta · 11/02/2008 08:57

Morning! seems like a few drinks were had by many this weekend? Is this hints of life returning to 'normal'? lol

SPB sorry about your injury and that T was unsettled again.

Yay to eddas and runny's DIY getting finished up!

Ok I'm at work so I'm at least going to shuffle some papers and decide what to do...

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 09:02

thanks maveta, my injury doesn't seem to be too life threatening. Although I am getting faint from the blood loss
(can you tell I've been doing this injury 'man style'?)
Hope you get your papers shuffled successfully

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2008 09:03

WHERE ARE MY BATHROOM MEN? THEY WERE MEANT TO BE HERE AT 8.30
