Poor Trace! You must be exhausted.

thisisRialifebaby · 11/01/2008 10:36

we're watching peppa pig too. (DS looks too rough and boxer-like for nursery),
why do the pigs live in a house and eat cookies and pancakes and spaghetti, but the rabbits live in a warren and only eat carrots?

OP posts:
FairyFay · 11/01/2008 10:40

I'm glad it's not just me that wondered that Ria . I was thinking the other day that surely they should live in a sty and eat slop, but then I don't suppose that would be a very nice programme

trace2 · 11/01/2008 10:42

ill be honest i dont care how tired i am as long as dd is ok i surpose it will catch up with me at some point

foxythesnowman · 11/01/2008 10:50

stereotyping rabbits. shouldn't be allowed.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 11/01/2008 10:59

Morning all

Fury hope the GPs manage to sort out DS. Hope he feels better soon

Trace poor chloe, she's in the wars, but obviously a trouper like her mum!

Foxy I am aghast at waxed and lithe! Is this woman a close friend? If not that's a pretty inappropriate thing to say, not to mention to a a mother of a 6 month old! Pah, DH thinks it's his birthday if I shave my legs! Anyway, I would love to pop and see you sometime. I'm mostly avoiding going to my mum's as it's v small and stressful, but DH and I are planning along weekend down there next month. I'll let you know.

Ria, can I just say, you are very funny, you have a wonderful way with words and are very sharp, have you thought about writing? it's a suitably solitary occupation for you!

Hi to everyone else too. Holly hope you are feeling better today. This weather is so shit, you end up just couped up in the house (or flat in my case).

But I have my posh colour and cut today. it better be worth it! The thing is I always want my hair to look long and thick and flowy (Think Catherine ZJ), but inevitably it's going to be a choppy bob because that's what suits my hair and face.

foxythesnowman · 11/01/2008 11:03

She is a sort-of friend. I really like her because she is a funny-ditzy character - not an Alpha-mummy at all. A posh mum, but proper posh, not fake middle-class wannabe pose IYKWIM. Well, you probably don't KWIM yet, but you will! The joys of the playground

Enjoy getting your hair done! Am very . I'd settle for washing mine.

FairyFay · 11/01/2008 11:33

Bumper, enjoy your hairdo, and how's the novel coming along?

A London/Surrey meet-up sounds good, can I come pleeeeeeeeeeease

foxythesnowman · 11/01/2008 11:40

Putney still works for me Fairy, we just gotta book in a date!

milkyJammy · 11/01/2008 11:50

Thanks ladies for supporting me. Don't feel so now though.

We braved the rain as far as teh library for Rhyme Time, which was nice other than a mild head-bashing incident when C fell over But she seems OK, a cuddle with Mummy made it better

Hope Chloe's OK Trace, and do remember to look after yourselves too, otherwise as you said it WILL all catch up with you.

Bumper, am of posh haircut. Bet it looks fab!

sputnik · 11/01/2008 11:50

Still ROFL at the waxed and lithe comment!

Ria that is an excellent idea from Bumper. Actually the amount we have all written on the threads probably amounnts to at least a novelette each. How's yours comng on Bumper?

HellHathNoFury · 11/01/2008 11:53

Got back from GP, can't find anything awful wrong with him, just he is suffering exhaustion and a pressure buildup behind the ears. She says he is on the mend (but she should try living with him!)

He has 'baby man flu'

sputnik · 11/01/2008 11:54

Jammy they need theese things spelling out poor dears.

Trace did you do all the tests yet? Can't remember when you were going in.

foxythesnowman · 11/01/2008 12:00

Baby Man Flu Bloody hell, he's started early!

Well Fury, all you can do is get your duvet, lie on the sofa, have a nice sandwich (ham and cheese toasty in this situation is probably best) and watch something that isn't farking Peppa Bleedin Pig.

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 11/01/2008 13:13

Farking Peppa Bleedin Pig indeed! I've removed the DVDs from the immediate area and put Loose Women on...cue toddler meltdown!

Glad ds is ok fury...bloody man flu!!

Hope your haircut is lovely bumper. I am in severe need of one, my hair looks like rope and straw...think of Worzel Gummidge and you'd be close!

Just had a delivery from Next. Some lovely skinny jeans. I always thought I was too fat for skinny jeans, but it turns out I am not. They look good, I am very pleased! I think the thing is because they are from Next they are cut a bit more generously and aren't too skinny.

foxythesnowman · 11/01/2008 13:25

That's fab Holly - just what you need - shopping and a boost!

I am watching the Christmas Peppa Pig for the 'nth time.

Bing Bong Bingly Bungly Fucking Boo indeed.

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 11/01/2008 13:36

I ordered a shit load more stuff from Next this morning as well. If you go on to the sale site it says what sizes they have in stock. It is all a lie! I ordered loads of sizes of things that weren't on the front page. Mostly stuff for dd in next year's size, but a few bits for me too.

I heart shopping!!

Foxy, what's the secret words...?

....That's right, Daddy's big tummy!!

sputnik · 11/01/2008 13:37

Jeans sound great Holly

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 11/01/2008 13:39

Have you seen this thread? I do that all the time. I shall have to be more careful from now on. If I get banned from M&S I think I will have to kill myself! All mine and the dcs' clothes are from M&S or Next!

HollyIsAHippopotamus · 11/01/2008 13:40

Is it sunny in Italy Sputnik?

thisisRialifebaby · 11/01/2008 13:41

aww, I love you guys, thanks bumper etc (though have gone off you holly. skinny fecking jeans bet they look fab with you being tall.)

DH says I should write, but I think I am a bit dry and introspective and one-dimensional. I suppose, given that I spen too much time on ebay & mnet I can't play the "no time" card. Can't type as fast as I think though

OP posts:
HollyIsAHippopotamus · 11/01/2008 13:44

Apparently you don't have to be skinny to wear skinny jeans! I am NOT skinny and they look fine. I bought them to wear boots over, but still not sure about that look, I think it is a little equestrian!

You should so write a book ria, I know it would make me PMSL!! I love your sense of humour!

thisisRialifebaby · 11/01/2008 14:09

do you have a whip then holly?

OP posts:
HollyIsAHippopotamus · 11/01/2008 14:34

I do actually ! It's red!

foxythesnowman · 11/01/2008 14:37

why am I not surprised?
