I reckon we need to warn anyone living on the route

Meal Planning!!?

Aaaah, yes, isn't that what people who actually have food in their fridge / freezer / cupboards do!!!?

CaptainDippy · 02/01/2008 19:22

Pillock!!

Cheeky mare!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/01/2008 19:24

yeah but flying by the seat of our pants is leading to too many last minute - "oh ·%%·$$ I have to feed him again and I still only have a mouldy carrot and salami in the fridge" - moments. And lots of sandwiches for dinner for dh and I. So I have decided I need Organisation, Lists and Supplies, Jars of Beans, Bags of Lentils and Frozen Veg.

I am rolling up my sleeves and Getting Organised, I tell you! But I might just search for the last of the tree chocolate first...

CaptainDippy · 02/01/2008 19:28

Exactly - then you know what a fatnstic driver I am - Especialy when it comes to turning sharp corners with high kerbs.

StealthPolarBear · 02/01/2008 19:28

yes, can imagine cloth nappies are 100x harder, at least with disposables if the tapes are stuck you can always rearrange later
I kept meaning to day - we've started giving T porrige before bed here as well and I wouldn't be surprised if it's linked to the sleeep

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/01/2008 19:30

and you know how good I am at flirting to get us rescued

you won't have me there to save you on the way to Eddas though

I change nappies with baby standing up once they can, learnt as a nursery nurse

Maveta · 02/01/2008 19:33

oh nooooowwww you mention it SPB! what other secrets have you well rested mummies been "forgetting" to mention? hmm? hmmmmm?

Cloth nappies - that´s why I´ve mostly moved over to pocket nappies - in particular I am loving bumgenius.. I just couldn´t handle trying to get a two part nappy on him, it was like wrestling an octopus.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/01/2008 19:34

NO
don't start on all that nappy nonsense again

OP posts:
Maveta · 02/01/2008 19:34

LOL

CaptainDippy · 02/01/2008 19:37

Or all that Octopus stuff again either!!

fpesha · 02/01/2008 19:37

Fuck it just lost huge post

CaptainDippy · 02/01/2008 19:40

I feel your pain.

NorthernLurker · 02/01/2008 19:44

Back from Keswick and my ears have just about thawed out - it was lovely though. Potentially the last time I'll have B in the front carrier though (which is a bit sad) - she is really a bit heavy now and as soon as I see my nice NCT lady I'm ordering a backpack.

Very impressed with the meal planning!

Oh and re shoutiest mums award - wait till your little girls and boys are big enough to argue back fluently - then you'll hit your shouting stride! Dd1 and I are mostly fine - but she's nearly 10 and whilst dd2 and I come out of the same mould and I get her - there are bits of dd1 which are totally foreign to me - so some fun lies ahead I think!

Idreamofchocolate · 02/01/2008 19:46

Maveta (whispers) I meal plan too. Man I am one sad old bint. See, I meal plan, am obsessive about cleaning and shout and swear lots and lots, I must be a mummy .

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/01/2008 19:47

yep, definite mummy, but only cos you shout and swear - only children can do that to you, and men of course

Hi NL - it is getting c o l d....Em very excited as she thinks it's gonna snow tomorrow.

Secretly I'm excited too.

Idreamofchocolate · 02/01/2008 19:50

POTC.

Although dh currently in my good books as has just walked in the door with a Chinese takeaway...yum

NorthernLurker · 02/01/2008 19:52

I'm excited about snow as well - would be B's first snow - and we're all at home to enjoy it as dh hasn't started his new job yet - we are hoping for around the middle of the month - it has been a bit stressful but it's also been lovely for him to have this time off.

CaptainDippy · 02/01/2008 19:53
  • Chinese take-away!! Enjoy!

Tis C O L D indeed - Ooooooh, snow!!! Has snowed every Feb since DD1 was born - magical!

NorthernLurker · 02/01/2008 20:01

I've got home-made lentil soup - which is very nice but a takeaway sounds so good right now!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/01/2008 20:04

It usually snows on or around my birthday
makes the holiday to Butlins fun

NorthernLurker · 02/01/2008 20:09
