Well I was going to start this thread saying that hopefully things have settled down for all of us, but I know they haven't for some.
We have all done really well to get this far and deserve a huge pat on the back for being such fantastic mums! (twin mums, have two pats on the back each)
I also wanted to say thank you for all the support, especially in the last week or so.
Well this is rapidly turning into an oscars acceptance speech so I'll stop there!

leaky, so sorry to hear your news but pleased you were able to be there at the end, thinking of you and your family xx

ngt, hope you manage to get checked out tomorrow and put your mind at rest

Dippy, where are you going tomorrow? Anywhere exciting? We are planning a huge night in...DH might watch a DVD and I might either atch it with him or come on here Not planning to stay up till midnight either, at the moment I need the sleep more. Had a hour and a half nap today

elkie, I know what you mean about the cage, that's exactly how I felt we tend to use ours to cordon off a bit of the room so although you still have to watch them you aren't just constantly moving stuff out of the way iyswim. I'll join you in a couple of months wingeing about work!

SOL, I don't blame you for staying away from the bugs That's the last thing you need to start 2008!
Hi caz, NL, oooggs, mammyjo, gmm, ange, pillock...anyone else I've forgotten, sorry!!

Leaky, sorry about your gran.

elkiedee · 30/12/2007 20:59

Dippy, sorry about your dh but it's lovely to hear that you're going to have a night out, I know you've missed out on a few.

EPB, good idea about a DVD. And sleep, what's to be embarrassed about the long nap? I'm just jealous because D's naps are all half an hour and he hasn't settled yet, dp's taken him out for a walk. I guess sending them out to the shop at 6 pm was a bad idea, he fell asleep in his buggy and woke up about half an hour later.... sigh

NGT, hope all goes well from you.

Poor SOL, hope you have a bug-free New Year.

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:01

Leaky - sorry to hear about your gran xxx

WestCountryLass · 30/12/2007 21:02

Can I ask where Octo is??

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:02

Oh he wasn't asleep, DH had him! Was fantastic really but I really needed it. I'm a wuss really as he's been sleeping well at night but a few early mornings and busy days just caught up with me. I know what you mean about the nap, I get panicky if T is asleep in the evening, it's stupid because I can't do anything about it really!

I have recovered from drinkies on xmas eve!

Lovely christmas - quiet and just us. Quiet New Year aswell - we are staying in for nice dinner and bubbly.

Ernie has had an eye infection really badly - went to docs and got drops which he reacted to and teh new ones don't seem much better - really feel for him Lots of bathing etc but his eye just seems to be getting redder and sorer. Poor little thing. We have top teeth on their way too...

Right - how on earth have people figured out who NGT is??? hmm come on - someone let me know - facebook it to me - I can't stand it anymore! Am off to hunt down our stats thread to work it out. It wasn't who I thought it was though as they only have one!
Must go back through thread and re-read everything ... back soon...

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:06

Boo!

Hello wcl - how are you??? We should meet up in the New Year for coffee at the Mall when the chaos of the sales has settled down!

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:06

Or I am around later this week if you want to meet up somewhere with the bigger ones aswell - but am skint so can't be softplay!

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:07

I'm on a roll here....

Went to see Alvin & Chipmunks yesterday - funniest film I have seen in years!

Went to Swanage today - lovely

CaptainDippy · 30/12/2007 21:13

Poor Ernie, Octo NGT with have 3 under 2 with a DS, she's been looking at triple buggies and a bigger car - any closer to guessing!!!?

Yes, Leaky - sad about your gran, but so glad shei s at peace now and that you could all be with her at the end. xx

I'm probably going out to a friends house tomorrow night, I got invited aaaaaaages ago, but immediately refused because going out on NYE whn you have 3 small children is pretty much impossible - so - whoop!

DH coughing up blood now Chest infection!!!? Me thinks so ..... DH is reading over my shoulder and says "only a litle bit of blood", I think he thinks I am being sensationalistic - but, hey, this is about as exciting as my life gets - apart from our new microwave, which I am muchos excited about - it is white and sparkly and everything! It even goes "beep" when you press the bottons!! Ooooh, I made up a word!!

Right, off to watch a DVD with my wounded solider ........

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:13

I've figured it out Ahhh bless

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:15

Oh maybe not ... back to stats list again!

fpesha · 30/12/2007 21:15

Leaky - sorry about your Gran but as others have said glad she is at peace now and nice that she had you all with her.

Octo - we went to Swanage a couple years ago - SIL suggested we take the dc to go on the Thomas steam engine that was there at the time but when we got there it turned to be bloody extortionate quite expensive so we just went for a walk on the beach, via a cheap clothes shop so dp could buy a coat as it was middle of winter and he hadn't taken one Was lovely though, was just looking at the pics yesterday. nathan was so chunky and cute!!

fpesha · 30/12/2007 21:16

Octo - text Ellie!!

CaptainDippy · 30/12/2007 21:16

Guessed yet Octo!!?

fpesha · 30/12/2007 21:20

DD is at her dad's. I give her my old mobile phone while she's gone so she can contact me if she wants to without having to ask. As its so far away (Nottingham area, about 4 hours or more) I think it helps her feel not so far away iyswim. She has just sent me this text -

'Dear family this is for all of you.
I've missed you all.
Love from Maia'

Really really missing her atm, she's never been for as long as this before

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:20

Have just checked the original stats thread and got all upset as vio was on it (obviously)

Anyway - I think I know - my phone has no credit !

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:22

Right I have a dilemma
A friend who has a dd a few weeks older than T has texted to say dd has chickenpox and do we want it? Now after the Christmas we've had am I asking for trouble, or is this a good opportunity to get it over with before he goes to nursery and I go back to work? How bad will it be? As an added complication, I haven't ever had it.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:23

oooh pesha How long is she away for? That text sounds so grown up!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:25

Have just had a reply from mmk (I emailed her a while ago) she says they are all fine apart from a double dose of chicken pox and she'll be in touch soon.

OP posts:
Octo · 30/12/2007 21:26

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:27
