Well I was going to start this thread saying that hopefully things have settled down for all of us, but I know they haven't for some.
We have all done really well to get this far and deserve a huge pat on the back for being such fantastic mums! (twin mums, have two pats on the back each)
I also wanted to say thank you for all the support, especially in the last week or so.
Well this is rapidly turning into an oscars acceptance speech so I'll stop there!

Congratulations NGT

fpesha · 30/12/2007 21:28

She went Friday lunchtime and coming back Tues lunchtime so not that long but normally its just friday tea time till sun mid afternoon. And even then she's still only been a handful of times. Doesn't help that its christmas and dp's home and feels like it should be family time and not right without her

No idea what to do about chickenpox. It could be that he would ust get it mildly as meant to be easier the younger they are, although no guarantee he would get it at all. M had chicken pox when N was 8 months and he didnt catch it until just after I had D, just what I needed But it could also completely mess up T's sleep routine being poorly which could be a big problem now but prob not so much if he was older iyswim.

Sorry no help at all really

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:28

no pesha it has been helpful thanks, I have no idea whether it's even a stupid thing to think of! Good point about the sleep.
She will be back the day after tomorrow - I bet it can't come soon enough
We have a date for T's christening - the 3rd of Feb

Oh and my 'J' has a large crumb of some sort under it and only works if I bash it! so apologies for repeatedly missing it off words, I do preview most of the time and add it in but sometimes just cant be arsed!

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:32

no problem, I hadn't even noticed
Won't start a conversation about making jars of jam in january though

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:32

fpesha · 30/12/2007 21:34

It cant!

Although no doubt after a couple of days I shall be moaning about her! She is always really difficult either side of going to his

And did I say that he doesn't bother making the long car journey, gets his wife and 18 month old dd to do it And they went to a pantomine and he didnt go to that either. I think if it wasnt for his wife making so much effort he wouldnt bother at all

fpesha · 30/12/2007 21:35

PMSL

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:35

SPB - Stan got chicken pox when Ted was 9 weeks old and he has never had it yet and he is 4.5 now. I have rubbed him against other kids, made him kiss them etc and they have had it in his class but he still hasn't had it! I keep thinking ernie will get it sooner or later but am well up for chickenpox parties - better to know it might be coming than waking up one day in shock!

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:36

And when they are little you can put them in a full sleepsuit, scratch mits etc so they can't take the heads off the spots.

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:38

ewwwww
hmmmmm
not sure
ooooooooooooh what should I do

OP posts:
fpesha · 30/12/2007 21:38

Lol Octo! Nathan was very good and didnt scratch many of his but some of the bigger spots stayed for ages and he has quite a few scars from them, he did have it really badly though, spots in his eyes, ears, nose

runnyhabbit · 30/12/2007 21:39

Will catch up properly in a min, but have added some pics to my profile of what my parents gave the boys for Christmas

And [proud daughter emoticon here] my dad made it from scratch

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2007 21:40

Am I the only person who hasn't identified NGT yet? I promise not to let on on this thread, but if anyone can share the secret... or post the link to the stats thread again.

WestCountryLass · 30/12/2007 21:46

Hi Octo!

I can't arr to meet you this week only cos am hoping boiler might be getting fixed.

Sorry to hear about E's eye, Leo has had loads of eye infections, it is horrid!

Octo · 30/12/2007 21:47

wcl - have you been putting any cream around his eye to stop it getting sore?

runnyhabbit · 30/12/2007 21:48

as I was saying....

Will catch up properly in a min, but have added some pics to my profile of what my parents gave the boys for Christmas

And [proud daughter emoticon here] my dad made it from scratch

WestCountryLass · 30/12/2007 21:50

We've done CP here but I wouldn't bother going to CP party as once the child has spots they are not so infectious so unlikely to get them anyway. If you saw them in lasr fortnight, baby might get it anyway.
