geordiemacminxpie · 28/12/2007 19:52

Hey ladies

Katy - Sorry things arent great for you at the moment - if there is anything I can do to help then just let me know?

Well C still hasnt had a bf... thats nearly 4 days I think so I have kinda accepted that its over. He's grand though, crawling, sitting, pullig himself to standing, I'm looking at as his next step in independance. Been out today and bought some lovely underwear, even got measured properly and everything!!!

ITS MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!! WHOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/12/2007 19:52

maybe he did, it must have been a shock to him (you too, but you managed to turn the adrenalin into prompt action), and he probably felt helpless. Is it possible he has had a drink?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/12/2007 19:53

WOOHOO GMM

fab bras and matching knickers I hope?

(am thinking I have an unhealthy obsession with underwear )

runnyhabbit · 28/12/2007 19:55

runnyhabbit · 28/12/2007 19:56

geordiemacminxpie · 28/12/2007 19:57

Thanks Runny.

Oh yes - matching bra and {{{whispers}}} thongs... still cant get bring myself to buy mum pants!!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/12/2007 19:57

It wasn't me what stroked your knee, it was that slutty caring Pesha

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/12/2007 19:59

ooh, I can't wear mum pants either, need a 32d bra now though, and having trouble finding sets in that size that don't have big pants well, cheap ones anyway

feeding is going ok now, it's still sore by getting better, and J seems to have learnt not to do it

runnyhabbit · 28/12/2007 20:01

There was a time when the only pants I owned were thongs. Went through a brief (haha) phase of wearing mummy knickers. The I discovered shortie style pants. And dh thinks they're rather nice......iykwim

French knickers I think they are called Runny.

La Senza have a sale on at the moment, quite a few bras for £5.

Managed to get quite a few in 36D for me, the had loads of 30A's.... If you had no feet would you wear socks?????

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/12/2007 20:04

arse
what happened there

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/12/2007 20:05

pmsl GMM
I think the smaller ladies wear them to feel more lady-like, I know I did when I was an A-cup (the pill and children changed that )

fpesha · 28/12/2007 20:14

OMG - watching eastenders and physically flinching at the way tania is holding that baby

geordiemacminxpie · 28/12/2007 20:18

Am recording the bbc3 edition as was watching emmy and recording HomeAlone2.

Forgot to ask - is anyone after a pair of GHD's? I got a new pair for xmas so old pair are redundant - might stick them on the sales boards or ebay, just thought would give you lucky ladies first refusal!!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 28/12/2007 20:18

what is she doing to the baby?

Maveta · 28/12/2007 20:28

pmsl at gmm

sorry to hear that T did it again Katy, how stressful for all of you, sounds like you handled it amazingly. I for one am useless in a crisis. Hope you and your dh have had a chat and smoothed things over. I fully expected having a baby would affect/ change the rel. between dh and I but the reality of it is hard to deal with sometimes

GMM - C sounds like he´s coming on in leaps and bounds! Sorry he seems to have stopped feeding but it is kind of nice that if it´s the case, he choose to do it himself. Can´t believe how much he can do. N seems to want to directly bypass crawling for standing/ walking neither of which he can remotely do on his own which means lots of standing around holding his hands while he looks proud and happy very boring for me though!

thanks for the advice re. carseats. we´ve turned ours around and it seems to fit much better. still not clear how you can pull the seatbelt tight and still keep it nice and flat and untwisted through all the slots

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/12/2007 20:34

it is very difficult to do Maveta, and I think with a lot of them they just mean that you should make sure it's not already twisted/folded before you feed it through if that makes sense?

weewishyouamerryonion · 28/12/2007 20:36

good evening folks. hello to all of you after the festive fun. sounds liek we have had amixed ball of a christmas!!

to my secret santa - a HUGE THANKYOU. you were too too generous with all my lovely bath stuff. The necklace is beaut as well and the 3 penises went down a treat at the family gathering as i opened them. much chortling!
gmm, RH, & IMBM - hope the bf has resolved itself in whatever ways are best for you. xoxo
i am just home after a long trip. spent most of it blubbing - i find it so so hard to leave my family - even more so now that c is here. they dote on her so much - i think she thrived on all the attention but jeez - she was hyper. my bro has taught her new tricks and all she wants to do now is bounce on our legs. cute for the 1st 5 mins. not so cute between 4-6am! she got far too much pressies but was a star at all the family gatherings. went into a meltdown at a friends house though - they dont "understand" babies so a bit stressful

i really felt for those who had tough xmases on the thread. there can be so much pressue and expectations pilled on those few days.
heres hoping 2008 will be The year for all of us. xxxx

CaptainDippy · 28/12/2007 20:36

GHD's!!!? (Am I being realy thick!!?)

Hello ladies! DH is out with a friend at the cinema () so I am home alone with only a cup of tea nad a packet of biscuits for company. sob.

I am 32 GG - try finding non-mum pants for that!!!!?

CaptainDippy · 28/12/2007 20:39

Katy - You did everything absolutely fine sweetie - Lots of babies do this "breath holding" thing - Start a thread on it - you will discover you're not alone. xx I think your DH is just scared and this is his way of dealing with his fear - You need to walk away sweetheart and ignore his rantings, fear makes you do the strangest things. xx Also, if T does the breath holding thing again, try blowing on his face. xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 28/12/2007 20:45

GHD = very expensive but very good brand of hair straighteners

CaptainDippy · 28/12/2007 20:52

Aaaaah, that is why I would have never heard of them .....

1.) I am clueless when it comes to fashion / style stuff.

2.) My hair is poker straight.
