Hey Jammy - our DD's must think alike. In the mornings when I've finished feeding her I have a wee lie down with her sitting on the bed beside me. She's taken to bending forward, still sitting & landing her mouth straight onto my nip for a quick suck. When I think back to all the struggles we had with b/f, the times I spent 20 mins trying to latch her on thru screaming, head shaking, , fists in the gob etc etc & now she does self-service.

Oops.

BadZelda · 22/12/2007 10:26

GOOD morning...how is everyone today?

BadZelda · 22/12/2007 10:28

I am really looking forward to emptying the crap out of my cellar and building the new shelves / storage boxes I finally got from IKEA...bit of a trip down memory lane I expect, as I have all sorts down there, like 30 odd years of writing, strange random antiques, record collections etc....If I'm not back in a few days send out a search party

Morning!

I'm sure the lo's won't allow you to disappear for too long BZ!

Norty, Tescos are mean.

foxythesnowman · 22/12/2007 10:35

Hi MHC!

BadZelda · 22/12/2007 10:42

Morning MHC...well she's not crawling at speed yet...just has developed the ability to get hold of things that appear to be out of reach, much to Ella's amusement. Immediately getting a lot more interaction between the DCs which is great...DD1 has just realised that DD2 might actually be fun to play with now that she can wriggle to get things placed just out of reach.

Norty: those BASTARDS - have to say that the couple of times I've done food shopping online with tescos the stuff has been pretty suspect...nearly out of date, dodgy substitutions, substandard veg...a right pain for your Christmas lunch though!

foxythesnowman · 22/12/2007 10:44

Its a big turning point between the DCs isn't it Zelda? Life just got a wee bit easier I suspect!

BadZelda · 22/12/2007 10:44

How are you this morning Foxy? Did you get any answer back from halfords? Can you get DP to go to the depot and beat the delivery dudes up for you?
We've got a big halfords just down the road...maybe they would have one there?

BadZelda · 22/12/2007 10:47

Yes...just in time for me to go back to work must say DH will have a much easier time than me - as DD1 will be at morning pre-school etc etc. Still he'll need it considering yesterday he had both of them between 4 and 6 (took them to a chrimbo party) and when I got there DD1 was FILTHY and DD2 had a dirty nappy and hadn't had any supper
Maybe I should write him a checklist?

foxythesnowman · 22/12/2007 10:52

Its shagging DHL. I persuaded DP to buy me a camcorder for Christmas and DHL have failed to deliver it. Might get it on Monday. Might not. Currys won't give me a refund so I can't go to the shop and get one. They are all fucking fuckers. No Christmas pressie for me

Am getting a new boiler fitted today, so no water or heating. Am stinky in my pjs. Kids had a baby-wipe wash this morning. Reminded me of my Glastonbury days.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 22/12/2007 10:52

Morning all. I'm luxuriating in the bliss of having had a bath and a sit down with no LO within earshot DH has kindly taken her out with him to do some pressie shopping for me I think he realised how frazzled I was feeling when I threatened to ram the nappy bucket onto his head so that it could never be removed and he would have to smell stinky poo for evermore Feeling much mellower now though, and just enjoying a cup of rosehip tea before they get back. And taking the time to write lists of what's to be cleared up/cooked/bought etc so that I feel we have a chance of getting everything sorted.

foxythesnowman · 22/12/2007 10:53

How lovely Jammy.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 22/12/2007 10:54

Sorry Foxy, your post about no hot water came in while i was (slowly) typing. Didn't mean to sound like I was gloating about my bath

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 22/12/2007 10:58

And am quite of you having a cellar BZ. Not only have I always loved the idea of having a cellar or attic (or both) to give extra height (or depth) to a house, I could really use the extra storage.

BadZelda · 22/12/2007 10:58

I did ALL out washing yesterday (including all beds) so am about to send DH AND the kids to the laundrette to use the big dryer there. Then I will join you in relaxing Jammy.

Foxy BOO about your Chrimbo present...after cooking dinner for 12 on wed (uncles, brothers, SILs, parents etc) and making sure everyone had crackers / presents etc etc I bagged ONE present from my mum....I know you don't give to receive but even by my brother's dodgy standards that was a bit poor! (older brother did once give me a label in an envelope for christmas). Still looking forward to whatever surprises DH has in store for tuesday...and I've a suspicion Mum's parcel has some lovely warm leather gloves for me.

foxythesnowman · 22/12/2007 10:59

OOh, don't apologise Jammy! Made me laugh - how our mornings are totally opposite! . I always love to hear that mums are taking a bit of time to have a chill!
Sometimes when I have playdates I'll insist that I'm only doing it if the mum promises not to go to the supermarket or do the hoovering. They think I'm mad as I've got so many, but actually makes my life easier having other children here, so everyone's a winner!

BadZelda · 22/12/2007 10:59

It is slightly damp Jammy...hence me wanting to get it sorted a bit as I'm worried that stuff is slowly rotting down there.

foxythesnowman · 22/12/2007 11:00

a label in an envelope????????????????????

BadZelda · 22/12/2007 11:01

I know it's crap isn't it Foxy?
He studied fashion design, so the label was meant to suggest that he was going to make me something special...everyone got one that year, but no clothes ever materialised!

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 22/12/2007 11:15

morning all

foxy you aren't having much luck atm! still, at least you will have a lovely prezzy to look forward to when the post-xmas depression sets in

jammy, i wish i was as eloquent as you with my insults!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 22/12/2007 11:18

LOL Bumper, I am trying to be totally ridiculous when I get wound up, so that we end up laughing about it and difusing the situation instead of having a huge row. Worth a go I thought. We did have quite a giggle at the idea of DH having a bucket stuck on his head for evermore.

foxythesnowman · 22/12/2007 11:23

Camcorders no bloody good when all the pressie are open though. grumble bleedin' grumble

How are you Bumper?

I shouldn't complain really, things are good.

But it did cause a HUGE row with DP and me.

And they just don't care that we will not be able to record baby's first Christmas for posterity! I have been laying it on rather think for the Currys/Halfords/DHL customer services. Sadly, they just don't care. Sob!
