just a quickie: madly trying to get everything organised to leave here, while juggling 2 sick DCs, I think they have a new cold on top of their old one IYSWIM. Luckily the baby is mesmerised by Maisy.

thanks for your input on my spiral staircase thread everyone

Sputnik · 19/12/2007 16:27

Well if we're fantasy bag shopping, this is cheaper. Plenty of room for nappies etc, so practical too

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 19/12/2007 16:43

Mmmm, I like bags

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 19/12/2007 16:55

FFS sputnik, you should go and live in Peru and keep llamas!

How shit about your bag daisy, I am very for you. I have emailed you about my dilemma and I think the problem is sorted!

Hope everyone has had a good day!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 19/12/2007 16:57

and me!

I bought myself a secret Radley bag from ebay, but don't tell dp as I've just bought another pushchair and he'll kill me!!

Sputnik · 19/12/2007 17:19

well I may be obsessed wth llamas but at least I don't have a pushchair habit

foxythesnowman · 19/12/2007 17:31

Grrr about the internet shopping/stock situation.

DS2 wants a football. Santa ordered a Man City sponge football (ideal for indoor use, small boy happy, Mummy happy = perfect).

Do they tell me they don't have any? Nope.
Do they substitute it for something completely useless and crap with no notification? Yep.
Do they have a pre-paid returns policy? Nope.

So, I have a useless item and I have to pay to return it
and they aren't getting any more in. FFS.

fangry for foxy and daisy. Farking shops! I've just spend 4 hours traipsing round town trying to do the last of it. I hope DH appreciates that once again I have done all the shopping, made and written all the Christmas cards.

I thought I was ok with the fact that most of the presents this year would be for DD but I'm actually not. she won't appreciate anything this year, but I would ! it's only the lovely secret santa pressy under my tree that keeps me going

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/12/2007 18:43

Man City?

Really??

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 19/12/2007 18:57

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 19/12/2007 19:02

Evening all

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/12/2007 19:15

DS1 had an 'I dribble for Man U' bib

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 19/12/2007 19:15

Feck, I really am a numpty at times! We had roast chicken last night. We also had some duck legs in the freezer, which had to be cooked as I was defrosting the freezer yesterday, so I roasted them next to the chicken. This afternoon I stripped the remaining meat from the chicken and took the meat off the duck legs. Half has gone into the freezer (now that it's cooked) to make a pie over Xmas period, half is in fridge for dinner tonight. I made lovely stock with the chicken carcass and duck bones and I just got out a nice big colander to strain it off, remembering to also get out a nice big bowl before I'd poured all of it straight down the sink! Thankfully I remembered before too much was lost.

foxythesnowman · 19/12/2007 19:17

Aye. mcfcuk.

Ruined his Christmas I tell you! RUINED!!!!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/12/2007 19:17

LOL Jammy

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 19/12/2007 19:17

Sorry, in my self-annoyance I forgot to say on behalf of disappointed shoppers.

And I think (hope) DD is getting "eat, sleep, dream Norwich" pyjamas for Xmas from my brother.

foxythesnowman · 19/12/2007 19:18

Jammy - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 19/12/2007 19:19

that's what you get for supporting man city

I'm really sorry, Foxy, I hope you can find another one

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 19/12/2007 19:20

I know Foxy. As I said I did remember (unlike some other time in the past) and there is enough saved to do something with.

btw DD had a bit of chicken whizzed up with her potato and cauli tonight . Her first taste of meat.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 19/12/2007 19:39

Arse, DD woke crying and took ages to resettle. DH is due home any minute and I just hope that him coming in with a load of food shopping and moaning about his day doesn't wake her up again.

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 19/12/2007 20:21

Quiet on here tonight..........

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 19/12/2007 20:33

I've just managed to get the DCs to bed...

We went to sainsbury's as DS wanted something for DHs Christmas, and luckily we got the last one in the shop

Got DS some shoes in Clark's today. They were in the sale and I tols the assistant I needed a 12, there wasn't a 12 on the shelf. Anyway, got them home, DS tried tham on and they are miles too bloody big. She's only gone and given me the 12.5. Means yet another trip into town tomorrow
