may not be on for the rest of the day, will be sleeeeeeping!

but on the plus side, he is lovely, and I have unintentionally already shown him my breasts

although he may be a little stalkerish

Morning everyone, although I see IMBM went to bed just as I was getting up
Another bad night here, although i'm pleased he's stopped being impossible to settle I could just do with a few hours of unbroken sleep
Meant to say, night before last he cried for a feed so I went in and picked him up. I then came out and noticed the stair gate was open (we leave it open at night as I'm half asleep!). For some reason this panicked me so I ran back into his room and saw his cot was empty I then ran into our room shouting "Where's the baby?? He's not in his cot and the stairgate's open!" Now at this point DH could have pointed out I was holding him, but no, he said "What do you mean, where's the baby?" I tried to explain further but then started to realise that I was being a bit of an idiot Left DH a bit shaken up but phsl at me!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 16/12/2007 08:10

morning EPB - sorry you had a bad night. Don't hate me - but B woke at midnight for a feed went back down ok (usually wkes after 10 mins-1hr) and next thing I knew it was 7am!!! But before you lob something heavy in my direction EPB can I wail that it's only about the fifth time she's done that - in 8 months......

Also of course I did have something heavy lobbed at me yesterday - got dh to look last night and there is a small cut/graze/bruise type thing visible! Well visible if you look under the hair.

IMBM - 6am - crazy woman! Tbh I thought the second one looked ok - didn't really observe the 'scary' eyes - was it him you were chatting to till 6? He sounds nice from his profile - perhaps you'd better wait a while though before telling him there's a load of mad women on the internet ready to savage him if he messes you about....

Well another v busy day ahead - and I have caught B's cold
Got to get to curch early - family nativity service, then no time to come home really so all going to Macdonalds for lunch, then back to church so dh can do set-up for our candle-lit carol service and I can do tea for musicians and choir who are rehearsing all afternoon, then service then home! And what in all this may you be very sure I will be finding time to do.....yes that's right - b/feed from BOTH SIDES

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 16/12/2007 08:10

CHURCH not CURCH

ElfPolarBear · 16/12/2007 08:12

Morning NL, as you pointed out you have already had something heavy lobbed at you
Enjoy your busy day

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 16/12/2007 08:14

Hi EPB - hope you can catch up with some sleep today!

liath · 16/12/2007 08:38

Morning from a cold and frosty Edinburgh. NL have a good day, sounds busy. EPB, had to laugh at you "losing" the baby !!

Had my work night out last night, it was dreadful. We had a table at a huge venue, millions of people there and some nob in an Elf Suit running around trying to whip up festive cheer AND so bloody noisy what with the Elf nob on loudspeaker and stupidly loud music that we couldn't even hear ourselves speak.

Feel a bit grumbly about it as I hardly ever go out and it's such a waste of a babysitter if I don't enjoy iy - should have gone on the Scottish mumsnet meet instead......

Today I am off into town for a sponsored Santa Run - should be a laugh although with ds in the sling and dd in the buggy it'll be more of a santa walk. May treat myself to a mulled wine afterwards.

Have a lovely day everyone and hope no foreign objects drop on unsuspecting heads!!

DippyChristmas · 16/12/2007 09:32

@ you talking to that guy til 6am .... and showing him your breasts!!!!!

LOL @ EPB "loosing the baby"

Right. Shower......

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 16/12/2007 09:42

just going out the door - have fun on your run liath!
Lol - at 'no foreign objects drop on unsuspecting heads' - I'm now at the stage where I just cannot believe someone dropped KEYS on my head! You couldn't make it up....

runnyhabbit · 16/12/2007 10:37

Morning all

W is full up with cold - nose is constantly running, which means I am constantly attached to him via a tissue

But this afternoon, mil is looking after him while me and dh take J to Cbeebies live in Cardiff. Think we're more excited than J

Oh, and I've got a job interview on Friday - not sure what the money is like, but hours are flexible, is very similar to what I'm doing now, and the biggest reason for me going for it - the office is down the road from my house. I could actually walk to work! So would save nearly 2hrs a day of travelling. Not to mention petrol. Fingers crossed.

have a nice day all
x

OK, rant alert coming... have just come downstairs and dh 'helpfully' decided to put some washing in the machine. I had left a dark load next to the machine last night, ready to be popped into the machine this morning. Dh in his infinate 'man-wisdom' has taken all the socks and knickers out of the load, left them on the floor and washed everything else. So now we have no clean socks. When I asked him why he said the load was too big (it wasn't). Erm, so why didn't you just take out one sweatshirt or something instead of all the socks? Sorry, not huge in the scale of earth shattering events, but just makes me and wonder at the logic of men (i.e. no logic).

The most annoying thing is that I was so hacked off (as I will now have to run an extra tiny load for the blardy socks) that I slammed the utility room door (glass panelled) with such 'gusto' that one of the glass panes now has shatter lines running down it. Oopps. Those'll go nicely with the dents in the kitchen wall where I once was so angry I shoved the table against it. Not that I have anger issues or anything. lalalalala.

And breathe.......

Idreamofchocolate · 16/12/2007 10:59

Apols for being self-absorbed BTW...just needed to rant.

EPB - that's the sort of stupid thing I'd do (forgeting I was holding the baby). I was driving through town the other day and actually started to wonder if I was driving on the right side of the road (even though all the other cars were driving in the same direction). I swear I am loosing my marbles.

LuceYule · 16/12/2007 11:04

No chance of me catching up today.

Just popping to say that my Secret Santa parcel has arrived

Thankyou so much to my secret santa I absolutely loved the necklace, such a lovely thoughtful gift

Scottish mummies will see you in the morning for some scottish mince pies.

fpesha · 16/12/2007 13:00

Sorry but am pmsl at EPB losing the baby and IDOC wondering what side of the road to drive on. It makes me feel so much better to know I'm not the only one who does things like that!

DippyChristmas · 16/12/2007 13:10

Ooooh, enjoy CBeebies live this pm, Runny!!

We have some damage to our house from "angry moments" too, IDOC No that I have rage issues either ... lalalala!

Right, lunch ........

Mammyjosecretsantahohoho · 16/12/2007 13:14

Mammyjo....just wondering whether you had recived your parcel yet....sent from Lapland last monday... those pesky delivery elves appear to be slacking....

DippyChristmas · 16/12/2007 13:21
