Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FlameBat · 19/10/2007 16:39

That's what I took it to mean anyway

No you were right the first time. I grew up in Gamlingay (my mum taught at the infant school there for 20 years)

FlameBat · 19/10/2007 17:25

(Does the gaffer tape description not fit too though? I always thought our places were similar )

OP posts:
Jas · 19/10/2007 17:32

Tue. I suspect mine looks slightly more like a builders yard than yours at the moment, as dp is gathering materials for the next bit of work to be done.

MrCSWS · 19/10/2007 18:32

It's the infant school there that I'm going to!! Was her surname the same as yours? Not that I'll see your reply before I go, as I'm off now.

mustrunmore · 19/10/2007 18:58

Hurray then Jas, as gathering materials is one step closer to more progress

csws, am starting to think you're overly kind! You cant ferry us around aswell as put up with us over xmas!

Right, afrer having 4 kids all morning and 3 all afternoon until 5 mins ago....I'm soooo glad I'm stopping with two I'm knackered!

Jas · 19/10/2007 19:12

It was the same as my old unforgettable one

2boysmacca · 19/10/2007 19:27

how much stick did she get for that?

Hi all. Just a fleeting visit while I cook my risotto. Wine poured, kids in bed, phew, I need a lie down after today.

UniSarah · 19/10/2007 20:29

duvets , beds, all too much for me. boy is staying in his cot in a grobag till he out grows it, I will take the side off when he proves he can climb out or tip it over( he can nearly do that last one).
I was soooo proud of my sensible little chap today, bus was full with a buggy already on board and he behaved beautifuly when I made him stand by me while I folded teh buggy, he climbed on teh bus waited for me to sort out ticket and sit down etc then sat on my lap holding on to the rail. WOW. just as good at teh other end. I, on teh other hand, had a minor strop when a chap tried to get on the alrwady very full bus with an 8 ft high roll of carpet and a bundle of 4ft planks , he wouldn;t accept the driver saying no, no , bus is full, not safe etc. driver turned off teh engine and I wanted to get to friends house not sit listening to a half wit argueing that he could stand the carpet roll up next to teh double buggy and put teh planks on teh floor so no one could get off. I had a bit of go at him and he did back down and get off. Felt sorry for the driver, he was one of the Polish chaps who are new drivers in our city and lots of older passengers treat them like idiots because their english is heavily accented and the don't know ALL the local names for stops. >>rant sorry, its over now.

EachPeachPearMum · 19/10/2007 20:34

Hope the wine's good!

CSWS- you went to visit already?
I wasn't sure when to go round- I know they can start in september, but do schools in your area have long waiting lists?

Am worried now, as there are only really 3 options for us, but foolishly thought that if we were paying she would get in

EachPeachPearMum · 19/10/2007 20:37

Ok, just realised Gamlingay is a place not a pub/club...ooops

Frizombie · 19/10/2007 22:13

EPPM you know that CSWS is just looking for the nursery end of the private spectrum right?

at CSWS heading to Jas's old stomping ground and yay for drugs for poorly dd

for the car Flame, hope its not costing too much?

MRM I read that as insects spot the looney!

anyway ello all! may crawl off to bed soon, as I'm on shop duty tomorrow, whilst dh takes the girls for their jabs he made the mistake of telling dd1 what was coming her way tomorrow earlier and she cried for a good half hour
Had good day at work today, seems word is getting around

EachPeachPearMum · 19/10/2007 22:18

Frizbe- I assumed it was for kindergarten- our dds are the same age

EachPeachPearMum · 19/10/2007 22:19

and GL for first saturday opening!!!!
lets hope lots of organised folk doing early christmas shopping

Frizombie · 19/10/2007 22:37

Just checking! did know if you'd got an older one
Thanks for the GL wishes, fingers very x'd here too!
I'm off to bed girls, c y'all tomorrow.

mustrunmore · 20/10/2007 08:53

Read what as insects?

Have a great Saturady's trading

I'm having a WHOLE DAY WITH AN ADULT AND NO CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/10/2007 08:56

Morning.

Quiz was v good. We came 3rd (out of 11), but I didn't get home til 12:45! DD got uo early . I sadly seem to have her bug, so my gym induction will be fun tomorrow .

EPPM - very glad to have another private sector mum on here - half of this lot (and a few of my rl friends) think I'm mad. so you can be tarred with the same brush! I'm not completely sure about competition for places. I'm assuming it won't be a problem for the nursery, but I think some of the schools do get oversubscribed. We're just looking at the schools now so that we can pick the nursery accordingly.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/10/2007 08:57

Oh yes, good luck Friz.

How come mrm?

Don't know what we're doing today at all!

Jas · 20/10/2007 09:07

mrm We have no plans at all for the weekend.

"Hurrah for inserts" reads as insects I think.

Frizbe - Have a busy day today. Good luck

csws - Only half the people on here think you're mad? Glad you enjoyed the quiz.

Ds was up at 4 bt then slept til 8 A huge lie in for us.
I need to go and feed them all now.

Jas · 20/10/2007 09:10

Oh, csws, I've got to go out on Thursday, so I can't come to yours (I was going to wasn't I? I didn't write it down, but have a vague memory of it.) Is mr csws back on Friday, or are you otherwise engaged already? We could do something then if you are free.

Sorry.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/10/2007 09:21

No he's not back til the following Friday. I can't do Friday morning though, as I help to run a toddler group. Happy to do something in the afternoon though if you like.

Am also free next weekend if anyone else is.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/10/2007 19:00

Why isn't flame on the X factor thread?

UniSarah · 20/10/2007 19:22

Jas- may I have a minor gloat. Was up with boy at 4 and 5 then gave him medised and he slept till 9.30! gave dh and I a nice cozy grown up lie in
On teh down side- I think boy is under teh weather and may have hand foot and mouth AGAIN, didn't think you could get it twice but the rash looks pretty similar to last time.
Friz- How was it?

Frizombie · 20/10/2007 19:38

Uni if it is hf&m again

Jas got it right MRM, I read inserts as insects doh!

CSWS I don't think your totally mad, I can see the benifits of private education, just can't afford it! you still need to get into Oxford or Cambridge to be one of the countries top earners, according to a recent survey somewhere that I read, so anything that can help you along your way I think

So not a bad 1st Saturday, had some friends pop by to see us, who didn't buy anything, bah! but also some friends who did! and we made more money than yesterday too, so, as long as things keep building, we should be ok

Off to watch a movie with dh now, as he's not bothered about the Rugby (sigh)

CountessPHOENIXula · 20/10/2007 19:47

for hf&m Uni, hope he gets well soon but for lie in, medised is fab stuff

Jas for your lie in too.

for more money Friz.

I've booked our holiday to Cornwall for next Sept today. We're going here staying in Jack's Barn Cottage. My parents and Grandparents are coming too so it is quite likely to be a nice cheap holiday for us

Dh is still on nights so he's watching the rugby at work , i'm sat here watching Grease 2 on Sky movies something (there's that many movie channels now)
