Oh, so you dont love me after all?

FlameFromBonfire · 05/11/2007 22:05

I love you too much to stalk you

FlameFromBonfire · 05/11/2007 22:06

Lovely line of winks there!

DS is up and irritable.

DD has been sick (think it is her additives build up again )

mustsparkleandburnmore · 05/11/2007 22:07

Ah, I'm touched I think

mustsparkleandburnmore · 05/11/2007 22:08

Yuck. Child vomit.

Ds2 has woken up twice this evenig, and there's not supposed to be anything wrong with him!

EachPeachPearMum · 05/11/2007 23:37

Friz- glad things are going well

Flame- so sorry for poorly boy

csws- bedtime tantrums, hmm, well if your name wasn't already taken, I could have used it myself.

Have spent the past 3 evenings lying on the floor next to her bed, holding her hand for an hour whilst she falls asleep. Why?

Fireworks- she is petrified. Every time there's another one, she whispers 'bang Mama'.
This weekend has been horrible, as even in the day she is a nervous wreck- every noise she hears she jumps, says 'car' (her word for noise) and then wants to be picked up. She has been so jittery, I just hope its over now....

They just seem so LOUD - I'm sure they get louder each year. Last year she just slept through them. Maybe its because we live in the city... but divali is next week too

FlameFromBonfire · 06/11/2007 08:22

Awww EPPM Poor little thing

Fireworks were about the only thing that settled DS last night - he sat watching them out of the window quietly.

Hate contact lenses I was up most of the night with DS, as a result my eyes are even drier than usual so they fell out 4 times of each eye this morning trying to get them in, and now they won't defuzz after each blink. I tried to do makeup to make myself look slightly more human, and ended up looking like a drag queen because I am used to it needing to be heavier so it shows from behind the glasses

I think I have fixed my face, now just the gift of sight is needed.

DS is about the same - fighting meds for all he is worth, fell off the sofabed last night, so now he has a sore tongue to go with it all

EachPeachPearMum · 06/11/2007 13:23

We were up all night too- fireworks worse than ever, took an hour to go to sleep, then woke at 12:30 and wouldn't settle. Took her into our bed, which meant we got no sleep, and she got very little, but she was howling too much to leave her poor thing.
She tired this morning, but trotted off to nursery happily enough! DH went back to bed as I left for work...

Frizbe · 06/11/2007 16:30

Oh no EEPM have you tried getting her to say BANG louder than the fireworks, seemed to work with our dd1 when she was younger and now she happily watches them (aged 4 mind) We too are surrounded by fireworks, just been lucky that they've both been too tired to argue about going to bed each night.

Flame for boy, its not nice being poorly.

I can report that MRM doesn't have a crush on me, she's not even taken me as a friend on facebook
MRM do you think he would sleep in a bed all night??
can report dd2 is now happy in hers again.
BTW did you still want to know about that Dracula game, as I've sold it, but can report that I'm getting another (sure you'll find one closer to home) Have also got three vampire roleplays in stock and two vampire graphic novels! (30 days of night and Dark Days the follow up)

So just had a lovely young man in the shop, who declared the only thing that could make it better would be a buffet I'll take that as a complement.

Flame · 06/11/2007 17:25

EPPM

@ MRM not taking you as a friend. I think you should just keep poking her til she does.

DS has been asleep for a couple of hours. He seemed chirpier this afternoon so I hope that the antibiotics are kicking in. If he stays chirpy I am going to be a mean mummy and send him to nursery... I have got work stacked up behind me and if he is home he will cling.

Flame · 06/11/2007 17:25

for your lovely young man - did you suggest the whores and beer to him?

Jas · 06/11/2007 19:57

I'm back The dust sheets are packed away (for now) and the furniture is back in the right rooms. I have a mostly rewired house, and lot of holes in the walls and ceilings. He is coming back at the weekend to finish off (hopefully)

I've skimmed the thread, and found poorly FlameBoyand scared EPPM girl. I hope the fireworks are getting quieter now. (DS loves them)
Oh, and blind Flame. My friend bought new glasses from an online place recently, and they were alot cheaper than optician prices.

Ghoulie55 · 06/11/2007 19:59

Hiya!

Sorry, been a while I know and with no explanation either!! Laptop went down a couple of weeks ago temporarily and after having a couple of days without it I actually seemed to get quite a bit around the house done so decided it was a good idea to stay away from MN for a short while!

Hope you don't turn me away for being a deserter

Haven't looked at any threads before this one so please update me if anything has happened that I should know about.

Ds took a poo in his potty the other day, after asking to use it , then yesterday he asked to use it again for a wee, so I promptly threw off his nappy, he sat for a couple of minutes then ran into his bedroom and peed in the cupboard - Not sure he has quite got the hang of it yet

Ghoulie55 · 06/11/2007 19:59

And, oh my God when did the format change???!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/11/2007 20:12

Chloe!!!! [You don't need your halloween name any more btw].
We were all worried about you!
Did the bras arrive ok? Did any of them fit?

Yay for house Jas. That didn't take too long. What about all the building work though, rather than just the electrics?

mustsparkleandburnmore · 06/11/2007 20:35

"We were all worried about you!Did the bras arrive ok? "... that wasnt why we were worried Nice to have you back though!

Frizbe; have I missed you wanting to be facebook friend things? I swear I havent had anything to accept. And anyway, stirring Flame, you know I never bother on there. I still havent managed to get into it somehow. Even thought about deleting myself off it. Anyway, I'm very sorry Frizbe, I love you really (but def dont have a crush on you!)

Cant stop coughing. DFs1 came into our bed at 3am:
Ds1: 'you cant get any peace and quiet in this room'
Dh: 'no, you cant'
Me: went to sleep on settee for rest of night. Which was uncomfy, but got me out of doing the 4am poo nappy!

Can I see some progeess photos Jas?

Chloe55 · 06/11/2007 20:58

Long story about what O presume are the bras CSWS. Got a Royal Mail crad through my letter box not long after you said you were sending them saying that they were too big for my letter box, leave it 24hrs then go to depo to retrieve the parcel. Anyway, left it a couple of days, went down to post office depo and they said that they hadn't arrived back at the office yet and to phone in the am. I have now done this for the past 2 weeks or so and they still haven't got from my house to 2mins down the road to the sorting office!!! I have asked them honestly if they think that the parcel is lost and never to be seen again and they are convinced there is still a massive backlog and that the parcel will turn up - so I haven't even seen them yet - Pg, don't suppose you know but does that sound right to you? Can a parcel really take over 2 weeks to travel from a postie to the depo 2 mins down the road or do you reckon I won't ever see it again?

Flame · 06/11/2007 20:59

DFs1?!?!

Hurrah for Chloe (halloween is gone now though ) Just press the MN classic button like the rest of us, and the world goes back to normal No babies?

Yay for Jas wiring.

for stirring - tis fun

Can any of you on facebook play mastermind with me please? I can play my side solo so it doesn't matter how fast/slow I play like scrabble

I have narrowed it down to 4 frames... 2 are buy one get one free, so I could have a chunky and a light, the other two are half price, but I can only afford one pair. I need to decide tomorrow - will see if I can take a friend to help me choose (my mum gave a mumish opinion ). I can't get my head round getting them online - surely you need ot be able to see them on, get them adjusted etc?

DS is apparently feeling better... with a bit of added bounce He is definitely going to nursery tomorrow!!!! I am quite pleased he's in disposables whilst we fix the thrush though because he has antibiotic poo!

mustsparkleandburnmore · 06/11/2007 21:00

How can it go missing like that, other than the postamn taking it home and forgetting to bring it back in?!

Lol at bras too big for the letterbox!!

Flame · 06/11/2007 21:01

That sounds very very dodgy to me - backlog getting them out, yes, but the ones just returned to the sorting office, no way.

mustsparkleandburnmore · 06/11/2007 21:05

Oops, some kind of freudian slip there.Perhaps I wish I had nice furniture instead of children?!

Flame, help! Tell me when I paid for the xmas do, as my name isnt on the paid list now, and I cant face trawling through all my paypal history.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/11/2007 21:09

Does indeed sound a highly dubious excuse , but we will have to hope that it's true, as I stupidly didn't even get a proof of postage. Let's hope Phoenix can advise.

How would we be playing mastermind with you if you are playing your side one sided? Confused

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/11/2007 21:11

About 11th Sept mrm.

Chloe55 · 06/11/2007 21:12

Yes that's what I thought. You'd have thought they'd be able to trace it back though if I still have the card (which I am now having a mad think if I still do ) AM really though, they are being extremely uninterested about it.

PMSL at them not fitting though the letter box too, I didn't think of that!

Flame · 06/11/2007 21:12

How do I know when you paid?!

Did you pay the same night as me?

Hang on...

Mastermind - you play a game each, guessing the other person's set, and the fewest attempts wins
