Dame will never forgive you either! Glad you had a good time though.

Assessment was a joke last night. Very infuriating

We got out for most of the day yesterday. Both boys had their hair cut, then we went for a coffee and a cake (although ds2 refused his ), then on to the park. In the afternoon we went back down to the park and got back in time for tea.

Ds2 has woken up in such a mood. He has screamed basically since 5.30 this morning, full on, head banging tantrums. i've given him some calpol which has calmed him down.

Off to the gym later than usual today so I think we'll pop into town and visit the library first. I'll make lunch for them to have in the creche as I need a big work out after I see my PT so it'll be 12.30 by the time I finish.

Right better go and shower whil boys are queit. Amazing sedative Milkshake

Jas · 25/10/2007 07:41

I thought you were going to the zoo?
Sounds like a long day out, but interesting.

I'm glad the boys are (mostly) better macca. Have a good time at the gym.

We are going out for the day today, as soon as dd2 wakes up and has breakfast.

FlameBat · 25/10/2007 07:55

I thought they were going to the zoo too...

mustrunmore · 25/10/2007 08:34

He would have loved me , if only we'd had more time....

mustrunmore · 25/10/2007 08:42

And, for the record, he wasnt that rough looking at all. csws is sooo posh she mkes assumptions about long haired interesting looking men He was loveelllyyy.

BTW, csws, how are your guts today? I'm feeling v dodgy; I think BK must've poisoned me! Not good given we have a broken loo seat and my Dad here!

Jas · 25/10/2007 08:44

Is rough looking an insult then?
I quite like rough looking myself

mustrunmore · 25/10/2007 08:44

Oh, ans while i';m here talkking to myself....Frizbe, that fab shop of your doesnt happen to stock working model trebuchets for a fiver or less, does it?!

Jas · 25/10/2007 08:45

Hello? I'm here!

mustrunmore · 25/10/2007 09:39

It was thw way csws meant it!

Phoenix · 25/10/2007 10:11

Lew slept all night last night and til 8am

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/10/2007 13:48

Guts fine here. That's what you get for eating dodgy veggie food!

Err, have I never shown you what my back up birth partner looked like mrm? I think he qualifies as interesting looking, and I like him!

Hope the gym was good macca. I went this morning too. DD went to the creche, and then we went swimming together aferwards. She's now sleeping in the car, whilst I have 10 mins not quite to myself, as the builders are here.

Unfortunately, the utility room extension is not going to plan. A diff building regs guy came out yesterday, and wants loads of extra stuff, which means we are now losing an extra window in the conservatory, which I don't seem to have any choice about. I wouldn't have extended at all if I had known up front that it would mean this.

EPPM - dh is an IT consultant, but currently contracting for a global pharmaceutical company.

UniSarah · 25/10/2007 14:40

mamamoor- Hi I'm in devon too, but not on the moor.on the edge of exeter.
Pumpkin bum- cute, quite like but not about to buy one for 11 quid as its far toooooo cold for boy to be showing it off. I have just got him some black bandana bibs tho so he does dress up as a pirate pretty easily.
Don;t think we will be able to avoid Trick or treaters this year as boy has quite a fan club amoung the local 5-10 yr olds. Last year he hated it all and was scared by teh lots of peopel at teh door and masks etc, might be a bit better about this year, wait n see.

Money making schemes... no idea. I get a pretty good day rate (I'm self employed) and pick n chose projects depending on childcare practicalities. BUT Its what I was doing before DS so have established customers who still want to use my services.
MY SiL makes some money selling books on Amazon market place, she buys from Car boot sales/ garage sales ( in the USA) etc.Do you have room for a lodger or language student paying guest.

www.sticklepathfireshow.org.uk/index.htm
is the web page for the show I'm doing next week. There are some pics of my work from previous years hiden under past shows-I've lit it from 2004 on.I don't get a name check in teh crew list as I'm a paid contractor rather than a volunteer.

EachPeachPearMum · 25/10/2007 19:53

UniSarah- are you a H&S officer, fire fighter, or pyrotechnics wizard???

My Dh is a long-haired interesting looking man!
Probably a bit rough looking too LOL. He's in IT, so he rarely has to worry about what he wears/when he shaves, unless he needs to meet clients.

UniSarah · 25/10/2007 20:04

EPPM- I'm the lighting designer.
my dh is also in IT, when we meet he had V long hair and a taste for black jeans and baggy bold colour shirts. Then went thro a phase of wearing shorts summer and winter- home made shorts in bold print fabrics. Now he works for an agencey of the civil service so he is expected to wear more normal clothes mon-fri.

Phoenix · 25/10/2007 20:04

Oh my god what is happening to the site, i don't like it.

Phoenix · 25/10/2007 20:29

Thank god for that, i've switched it back to mumsnet classic, much better

mustrunmore · 25/10/2007 20:31

Right, photos of all your interseting dh/birth partners to my email addrss please!

I'm going to give up on mn again; its just taken me agesto work out how to find the end of this thread, and its really hard getting round now its all unfamiliar I just dont have time to not do things without thinknig. Dad still here BTW

Went to willoes taday; I've never been so cold or seen it so busy. WE were about the sixth to last car to actually get in , then they were turned away! ds2 not v well atall; think teeth (temp, sore bum, no food, miserable), but could be anything I suppose.

Help.. Mum comes tomorrow.. need a tea that is low fat, soft (teeth issue!) ,veggie for me, but the boys will eat too.

mustrunmore · 25/10/2007 20:32

How do you do that?

Jas · 25/10/2007 20:36

mrm - If you go up to customise talk board at the top you can reset it to normal

I had to do it before I could read anything, too.

mustrunmore · 25/10/2007 20:38

Right, I found it and did it. But everytime I go onto a diff thread, I have to reset it again?

FlameBat · 25/10/2007 20:47

I'll read in a minute, when I can get this to look normal again

Hyperventilating about change, explaining to Dh how they can't do this to us, about the morning it all changed and then gradually changed back to normal as we whinged... he then started saying that I sobbed when they changed my book without warning me too "Oh no... that was Bronwyn"

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 25/10/2007 20:48

Yay- I switched back to classic too

Am still seeing hallowe'en smileys though

FlameBat · 25/10/2007 20:49

Why won't this have new messages at the top like I asked it to?!!?

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 25/10/2007 20:51

Was scary for a moment there, but cool now, esp as I can ban topics from my active convos. Am banning post-natal, so better make sure our threads are always in threads I'm on!
