I'm off to bed too now...good night!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
loonylovegood · 01/10/2007 11:03

Yep Ria, def wee!!

The trouble is is that dd will be moving into that room soon, so the boys will be sleeping downstairs. I am not having piss in my living room, no way, no how! If he can't stop wetting the bed he will not be coming down to stay.

Oh and my dp seems to think he is going halves with their mum to buy them a laptop for christmas.....EACH!! I said fuck off! I don't understand why 3 teenage boys need a laptop each. We can't afford it at all, they won't look after them and all they will do is look at porn on them! My parents are well off and they have only just bought my bro a laptop, he is 20 and at uni FFS! AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!! It makes me so mad! If he thinks my children are going without at Christmas so the boys can get even more he really is very much mistaken!

loonylovegood · 01/10/2007 11:06

That is a sucky thing to spend vouchers on bumper! Poor you!

Sorry for the rant there! Went a bit mental! Oops!

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/10/2007 11:12

good morning

having a very relaxed day of it today. DH is having a proper day off (ie not working from home) so I'm letting him get on with things and then we're going out for lunch, sans bebe

He was getting really stressed this morning trying to change DDs nappy and get DS ready for school. I was cross cos they woke me up so wasn't helping at all, and throwing in a "hmm, it's hard work isn't it?" comment every so often [cheeky cow emoticon]. I like him to get a taste of my mornings every now and again, keeps him on his toes and appreciative!

Holly, we got some waterproof fitted sheet things in poundstretchers (instore?) for about £5 each and you can wash them at 40 degrees.

Right, washing to hang out and nappies to get washed. Babyboos skin is OK so far, after washing the nappies to within an inch of their lives without detergent. I've been using a disposable at night though until I'm sure she isn't going to break out again!

riabutterflew · 01/10/2007 11:14

That's ok holly. I know where you're coming from. It sucks. Luckily I am in charge of christmas in our house so DH has no say. We laso don't do "big" christmas presents in our family so we don't have to go overboard. DHs ex used to get a handout from her church for being a SP when the kids were smaller. used to piss me off cos we have always struggled. That is why D?SS is getting a smaurai sword for his 18th instead of the £200 he wants to get his tattoo. Get of your fat arse and get a job, slob.

oops - me too. wicked stepmothers anonymous perhaps?

riabutterflew · 01/10/2007 11:15

have a nice day daisy

loonylovegood · 01/10/2007 11:18

Morning daisy!

We have waterproof sheets, but it gets all over the duvet cover and the duvet as well. I am not washing the duvet every 2 weeks, so he can just sleep in the disgusting pit as it is!

I am using disposables at night too because I still have a pack left and I need to use them. I do hate them though. Ds was soaked through this morning and that never happens with reals.

I love doing the "It's hard work isn't it?" thing! I'm sure dp thinks I do nothing all day. He did have a really hard time the other night when I left him for 2 hours. Ds screamed so much he couldn't eat his dinner. He was v stressed when I got home!! I loved it!

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/10/2007 11:18

holly, can you make him wear pyjama pants? or does that go against his mum's wishes? You get ones now that are like boxer shorts.

Or even just threaten him with them...it might be enough to help him stop!

bumper, I'd forgotten about your move. It's one more stress for you at the moment when you don't need it. Can stress affect your milk supply?

That's a bummer about the vouchers. It would have been nice to use them for something nice for you and DH.

I was doing a spot of clearing out this morning and was looking at all the cards we got for our wedding. I found a 50euro note in one of the cards (from my friend in Berlin) . so, we have some money to spend on our holidays! It'll be a nice meal out for us all at least...or perhaps I can use it for a spa treat

loonylovegood · 01/10/2007 11:19

Maybe we should start a "wicked stepmothers anonymous" facebook group ria!

bumperlicious · 01/10/2007 11:20

wtf holly???? a laptop each? there is absolutely no need for that. if they were all living together as a family again would they really buy 3 laptops? someone is taking the mick here? absent parent guilt perhaps?

bumperlicious · 01/10/2007 11:22

that's a nice surprise daisy. milk supply seems to be ok now, either from that more milk or just feeding more often.

loonylovegood · 01/10/2007 11:27

Absent parent guilt is something dp really does suffer from. It does piss me off though, they get far more than the children he actually lives with. He said he feels really bad coz they don't get anything from him ! He pays for mobile phones, sky tv and internet. And he has bought them mobile phones, a pc and an xbox over the past few years. How he thinks he gets them nothing is just beyond me.

Wow, I love suprise money daisy! I found £60 in my suit jacket pocket the other week, it was lovely!

riabutterflew · 01/10/2007 11:42

wish I could find some surprise money. I once fourn £20 on the front lawn. That was nice, but I felt guilty about keeping it.

Just a thought that involves too much effort, but could you make a "duvet cover" from those breathable waterproof sheets to go under the actual duvet cover to protect the duvet, then you wouldn't have to have it stored away all nasty.

riabutterflew · 01/10/2007 11:43

bugger my typing.

why is it nearly lunchtime already?

sputnik · 01/10/2007 12:14

I found 5 euros in the road outside DD's nursery today

bumperlicious · 01/10/2007 12:28

hope you spent it on something nice like a gelato or some choccie!

BadZelda · 01/10/2007 12:36

Lunchbreak! DH has taken DD1 out for the day, so it's super peaceful here (DD2 just been doing the odd bit of gurgling and slurping in between naps.) It's bliss! Apart from the heavy rain that is...still just found large bar of wholenut choc in the fridge that DH must have bought when he did the shopping. Naughty man! At least I can blame him if I eat it all

BadZelda · 01/10/2007 12:37

And Holly, I am really shocked at laptops for each of the boys - that's rather excessive! Sounds exactly like absent father guilt to me. You're not being a bad SM for complaining about it - it's out of order!

trendaverter · 01/10/2007 12:40

Holly if I were in your shoes (wet beds and laptops) I would have a total hissy fit

So what if she says don't make an issue - your house, you can make as much 'issue' as you bleeding well please.
Your house, your rules, and if he wets the bed you can buy him a tent until he gets over his little 'problem'.

And tell DH is can screw the laptop idea, you'll go halves on a desktop!

trendaverter · 01/10/2007 12:40

remember...hell hath no fury... it's a saying I live by

bumperlicious · 01/10/2007 12:54

I love you TA

bumperlicious · 01/10/2007 12:55

DD is finally asleep. She didn't sleep at all yesterday till 11pm! Had my lunch, suppose I'd better go back to packing...

trendaverter · 01/10/2007 12:59

oops I do get on my soap box about things

I am knackered
That'll teach me to have 'intimate relations' with dh on a school night

Thank god I booked a cleaner... not for the results of the intimate relations I might add!! (eww)!!
Just so I am not so bloody knackered!

bumperlicious · 01/10/2007 13:02

Ssshhhh, TA, don't say it too loudly or all our DP's will be wanting it!

BadZelda · 01/10/2007 13:11

Actually I tried some of that fenugreek and then found out (from reading up about it) that it has aphrodisiac qualities for women...that will explain why I was feeling randomly randy over the weekend then...

riabutterflew · 01/10/2007 14:25

I was more concerned about it's "breast size increasing" properties.

baggins has been asleep for the longest he has EVER slept at daytime and I have been helping DH find a job. I should be sleeping, I have man-flu
