I'm off to bed too now...good night!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 20:37

oh, let me have my gross exaggeration......go on!

Jamantha · 04/10/2007 20:41

Go on then, seeing as it's you

loonylovegood · 04/10/2007 20:45

ROFL have you seen the "for sale" board pram bitch fest? It's v funny!

How's your dd with the clothies daisy? Is her botty fixed yet?

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 20:53

We've been back in them all week holly and fingers crossed all is well. I blame the tea tree oil, it makes my nose and eyes itch!

I was looking at the pram threads.....hilarious.

I'm a bit pissed off with them though. I tried to sell my big pram and got one "I'll swap it for a Loola and creatis car seat" I said I'd swap it for cash! Anyway no-one has even looked at it!

foxybrown · 04/10/2007 20:54

Holly, did you get my email?

Oh Hello BTW

loonylovegood · 04/10/2007 20:58

Sorry foxy, only just checked my emails! I'll email you back now.

That's good daisy. What are you using instead of teatree or are you just dry pailing? I'm gonna try lavender oil, it has the same properties as TT, but seems less harsh on little botties!

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 21:01

well I was puttin a few drops of tea tree in the dry pail, then adding a few drops to the prewash and putting a few drops of lavender in the final rinse.....so it was probably a build up that did it. I've gone back to using fairy and am only putting in a capful, which is about 1/3rd the recommended amount and no essential oils at all.....So far, so not spotty!

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 21:08

holly did you see the live thread chat with Claire Scott?

I missed it. I went out for lunch with a friend today and it was lovely having a nice chat, as usually DS and her two DCs are there and it's mayhem. She came back here afterwards and sorted out my laundry when I went to pick DS up from school. When I got back she had put all DDs stuff away and re-arranged my drawers and was busy hoovering . I ended up having to shoo her out as it was stressing me out, but bless her........she knows my laundry pile is a never ending saga!

foxybrown · 04/10/2007 21:13

How lovely of your friend!

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 21:17

It was lovely, but a bit freaky.....I can now see the floor in my back room though, and I've been inspired to sort out a huge pile of sheets and duvets that we never use into keep/charity/dust sheets.

DH will faint in disbelief!

This FLY lady thing is actually working!

foxybrown · 04/10/2007 21:20

I am extremely impressed that you have stuck with the Flying thing (I like to lurk occasionally - was it kicking off the other night then?)

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 21:29

it did ever so slightly, but it was down to tiredness and hormones I think?? Some of the women are relapsed Flyers and they are getting ahead of the baby steps and making others feel inadequate. I'm just sticking to the baby steps...if all I have to do is shine my sink, then shine my sink is all I'll do!!

I'm really enjoying it, it has given me some focus to my day, and my sink is just so so lovely, clean and shiny. I even bought some cleaner called...wait for it....."shiny sinks" last week. It has made my 20 year old sink look nearly new! And I'm getting very possesive of it and lurk at DHs elbow whenever he goes near it.

what a saddo!

foxybrown · 04/10/2007 21:32

LOL Daisy! Totally get where you're coming from though. I like a bit of OCD housekeeping, makes me feel in control of something around here!

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 21:40

I think I'm rediscovering my inner anal retentive. I used to be sooooo regimented and control freaky, then I had DS and it all went tits up. I used to fold my knickers, alphabetise my CD collection, and books were ordered by height....tallest at the edges to smallest in the middle of the shelf.

Now I live in abject squalor and chaos....but am regaining control!!

Realising how weird that makes me sound, I'll shut up now!

Did a bit of walking today and my hips and pelvis are just aching. When I walk it feels like I'm going to dislocate something.

How is the feeding going foxy? are you over the hump and cruising?

foxybrown · 04/10/2007 21:40

I am so very, very, very bored.

Crap telly. DP out for the night (after we had a row about him being rude and not very nice). We are going to have that "you are taking me for granted" row conversation soon.

I'm off to bed, night night xx

foxybrown · 04/10/2007 21:42

x-post Daisy. Yes, we are, but I think we may have a bit of thrush brewing. Luckily I'm well stocked with creams.

LO is a little gem, I really have nothing to complain about there.

DP on the other hand....

Horlicks and bed for me!

riabutterflew · 04/10/2007 21:59

I had to baby massage ds2 tonight. He is huge! I think DS1 wants a go tomorrow

no wine tonight. cup of tea...

and really must address my weight and fitness.

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 22:00

good night xx

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/10/2007 22:02

hi Ria....I tried to massage DS on Saturday, thinking ti would help calm him before bedtime. He just wriggled and giggled and made me cross.

I'm quite liking the idea that this is something for DD and I though...sod those boily boys!

riabutterflew · 04/10/2007 22:16

it was quite nice reallydaisy. I used to massage him when he was tiny and he quite enjoyed it when he relaxed. he went to sleep a little quicker too

nite all.

trendaverter · 05/10/2007 08:01

Morning all!

You lot have been quiet, I was able to catch up.
Had a busy night last night - got a quote for our driveway, made dinner, did some laundry then bought some MEO's on Ebay.
Then boxed stuff up that I sold on Ebay.

Am exhausted and I have to work tomorrow as well. Well I don't HAVE to but at 1.5x the rate I'd be daft not to.

I have decided I really like being back at work. The time that I have with DS is now special and quality time and he seems really happy, and I feel more content in myself - I think I was going stir crazy at home.

Jamantha · 05/10/2007 08:51

Morning all. Have enjoyed the luxury of 40 mins baby free time this morning Then DH was worn out and has gone back to bed Funny how that coincided with LO starting to cry
