Here is a link to a thread about it, there was much screaming at the tv last night!

sputnik · 03/10/2007 08:57

Morning all, have had a very pooey morning. DD came in at 6.30 with a poo in her night nappy, and I put another one on her in the (vain) hope we might all go back to sleep again. Then Baby Sspunik did a mega up-the-back jobby involving his sleeping bag and requiring a bath. Before he was even dressed DD did another one! All this before I'd even had a coffee fgs.

on the positive side hopefully DD has cleared her poo backlog (thanks to a lot of kiwi fruit, highly recommended) and is a nicer person to be with, luckily, as she is at home today with ANOTHER cold (3rd in 6 weeks)

Ria, hope you had a better sleep lasr night. Can you get a bed guard and put baggins between you and the edge of the bed....so DH would have to squash you 1st?

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 09:25

sounds like fun sputnik!

we had good morning routine-wise and for once we were all washed and dressed before we left the house. I hadn't had any breakfast, but hey you can't have everything.

foxybrown · 03/10/2007 09:45

and are you WWing this morning Daisy?

BadZelda · 03/10/2007 09:52

A mate of mine says about 'bringing up baby':
"also the couple with the twins are our next door but one neighbours and i know they had a lot of developmental problems with one twin and have since moved away."

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 09:56

DD is really unsettled this morning and has been grizzling for the last 20 mins, so I'm thinking that's a good excuse not to go

I think I've lost a couple of pounds though.

Which must be down to DD's feed-fest of the lasr few days as I've eaten more than my fair share of sweets, crisps and chocolate.

MNHQ have rapped knuckles over some of the comments being made about Claire Verity.

And for those interested...(holly?) the continuum concept lady, Claire Scott is doing a live webchat on Thursday

foxybrown · 03/10/2007 09:57

I wonder if the mothers of the CV routine will regret it? Especially the mother ofthe twins, who was so obviously upset at going against her instincts. missing out on those precious first cuddly weeks is so sad.

BTW I am very tired today, so am getting quite emotional about it. I am a saddo.

foxybrown · 03/10/2007 09:59

Am not surprised at that. Guess the lesson learnt with the whole GF issues have been forgotten. Still CV makes GF look like saint.

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 10:00

there is a thread on here discussing the programme giving links to where you can complain foxy...

I think lomondgal linked the thread a few posts ago.

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 03/10/2007 10:04

Foxy - I feel the same
I could just weep at the fact that those parents are missing out on so much - and they will never have those very special first moments with their babies again. Not to mention how sad it must be for those babies who have no one to comfort them when they cry

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 10:04

I'm feeling really fluey. I woke up with aches and pains all over. I've had a recurrent earache and sinus headache for weeks, but no stuffy nose which is weird. Can you have blocked sinuses without having a snotty nose?

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 10:12

Right, I'm forcing myself out of the door. Babyboo is sleeping now, so NO excuses.

I will just weigh and go though I think....our class leader reminds me too much of the leader in Fat Friends (incidentally set and filmed in Leeds)

Jamantha · 03/10/2007 10:16

Morning all. Having read your comments am glad I made the decision not to watch the C4 baby programme.

I see someone mentioned wrinkles being plumped out by fat - reminds me of when I was saying at work one day that I was pleased that 2 people that week had thought I was younger than I was (they thought 27 or 28 and I was 30, so not a huge difference, but nice) and my boss at the time just said (in quite a nasty tone I thought) "of course fat people always look younger"

Having a quiet day today recovering from the excitement of long weekend away and preparing for DH's return tomorrow. He's not had a good time of it it seems, with work going badly. He sounded very fed up with it all yesterday

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 10:44

farking weightwatchers.

Apparently I've gained 1.5lbs. Shite

According to my scales I've lost 1lb (and they were correct with the leader's reading last week).

It was a stand-in leader today and the scales were different (she wasn't very impressed with me when I pointed that out though)......and I know you're not meant to weigh at home, but I can't believe my scales have gone 2.5lbs wonky in the space of a week.

We'll see what next week brings.

I knew I shouldn't have bloody well gone. I feel crap now . It's a good job there isn't any chocolate in the house.

bumperlicious · 03/10/2007 10:47

jamantha, that's awful. bitch!

daisy, it's shite being ill with dc's. hpe you feel better. pop a couple of neurofen!

not watched bringing up baby yet, but i get the gist. how awful for the poor babies. they just want cuddles from their mummies

Jamantha · 03/10/2007 11:04

Don't worry about it daisy. Different scales definitely mean it doesn't count. Even if your scales are wrong, they should be the same amount wrong each week, so a definite loss from one week to the next on that set of scales should be more accurate than an apparent gain between readings on different scales. And hope you feel better soon.

bumperlicious · 03/10/2007 11:33

aww daisy, go by your own scales. on my 1st visit they said i was 4lb heavier than i thought. but i also seem to fluctuate a lot during the day.

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 12:15

ikwym bumper. I'm sure there's an extra pound of milk stored in my boobs first thing in the morning.

annobal · 03/10/2007 12:36

Daisy, different scales definitely don't count so don't pay it another thought

I sucuumbed and am watching THAT programme. CV makes me laugh. She keeps being really offensive to people and saying 'no offence' as if that makes it all better.

Charlie seems much better - he's on his kick mat and is even smiling. Hopefully tonight will be better (he didn't do too badly but I was worried and kept getting up to him).

trendaverter · 03/10/2007 13:02

I have just read this thread and the telly addict thread about last nights programme and I am going to sit on the fence.

riabutterflew · 03/10/2007 13:13

AIBU to feel used by my F who can't arrange a time to see me in advance in case her "affairree" can make it too see her? I am pretty antisocial anyway, but to only be worthy of a last minute arrangement grates a bit, especially as F will then spend the whole time texting like a teenager.

other than that i have a more positive outlook today.

our solicitor rocks - roasted nuts anyone?

bugger the weigh-in daisy, your scales will be consistent i think.

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/10/2007 13:17

hey Ria, is DH going to get his money then?

riabutterflew · 03/10/2007 13:22

hi daisy. our solicitor advised that he takes what they say they owe him and then fight for the two weeks they've conveniently forgotten when it's safely banked. She is also writing to them to tell them he will NOT be going to his exwork to collect and sign for it (he never had to sign for his wages before) and then are to post a cheque or take it to her office where DH can collect it. She agrees that they have a hidden agenda for getting him to go there - probably for a confrontation.
So it's not looking as bleak as it was, obviously will still be a couple of weeks before he gets the money, and it will last about 5 minutes when we get it, but ... .
and she mentioned tribunal...

tomorrow I have a HV assisstant person coming to do baby massage - at my house (arse, will have to hoover)
