annobal · 02/10/2007 21:41

andiem · 02/10/2007 21:41

i am not watching and shall not lower myself have just eaten bar of green and blacks butterscotch choc have died and gone to heaven

foxybrown · 02/10/2007 21:44

the trouble is that in the '50's mums were kept in hospital for the first two weeks, and the nurses brought the babies to them for feeding and took them away again. by the time they left the routine was done by someone else surely?

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/10/2007 21:45

It's car crash television isn't it?

I think most people take a bit of Dr Spock and a bit of CC......and forget all about Claire Verity. I sincerely hope that her methods get discredited, but not at the expense of those poor wee mites.

Fuck, I'm screaming at the television now!!!!

foxybrown · 02/10/2007 21:46

Is the butterscotch one good then? i'm partial to the cherry one, yummmmmmmmy!

that'd be the footy i can hear from the other room then annobal?!

riabutterflew · 02/10/2007 21:47

i AM NOT watching. DMs bday tea was fun, though she thinks i am either swollen (legs, face & arms) or just fatter - any thoughts?

have just bleached the bathroom and managed to catch the end of my favourite war film ever (memphis belle, i don't actually like any others except chicken run & valiant) AND it ties in with DS1s homework

have to have a quick bath now - JC on tv at 10pm. I need dry wit ...

foxybrown · 02/10/2007 21:47

I read CV is only 41. Is that true? Am shocked if it is.

riabutterflew · 02/10/2007 21:49

my mum is now going through 40+ years (my sister, not me worth of guilt about what happened to us when the MWs took us away. Feeding was 6, 10, 2, 6 10 and that was it, possibly even when I was born in the 70s. Bless her.

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/10/2007 21:49

Nooooooo foxy, she is surely in her mid-late 50s

mind you she isn't married and has no DCs (or is that GF?)

If she is though, then I look farking fabulous for 38!!

riabutterflew · 02/10/2007 21:50

would like to add - NOT when she got us home{wink]. I think my dad was a softer touch than my mum, but that's probably cos he didn't have it drummed into him in hospital

riabutterflew · 02/10/2007 21:52

i meant

that woman has no children. thank god.

faylisa · 02/10/2007 21:52

Mmmmm Green & Blacks. I love the nutty one

andiem · 02/10/2007 21:53

the butterscotch one is deeeelicious
off to bed now as lo having growth spurt so waking at night again and early start as ds needs to be at school for 08.30 for swimming

bumperlicious · 02/10/2007 21:53

You do look farking fabulous for 38 daisy!

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/10/2007 21:54

that woman with the twins looks far too good bodywise after two weeks IMHO

This programme is starting to fucking piss me off royally now....it's ok to neglect your children, cos you can go out for a champagne dinner when they are two weeks old...

BadZelda · 02/10/2007 21:55

God that programme is making me really cross - the 1950's woman should be locked up!

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/10/2007 21:57

bumper, I love ya ...it was only my fat pregnant face plumping out my wrinkles. DH told me I look "haggard" this evening.....

.....that's his conjugal rights post-poned for another month

One of the CC babies has the best name

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/10/2007 21:58

obviously lavender liquer makes you go a lot.....

faylisa · 02/10/2007 22:01

In that case Daisy, I prescribe a large glass for you every night!

BadZelda · 02/10/2007 22:03

in other news this is definitely bad parenting

bumperlicious · 02/10/2007 22:04

kick him in the nuts daisy then tell him he looks haggard!

right, if I don't go and have a shower now there will be no point in me getting an early night and it may be another 2 days before I get one!

foxybrown · 02/10/2007 22:04

Apparently she shagged mick jagger on his kitchen table when working for him and jerry hall.

Now there's an image.... [puke emoticon}

loonylovegood · 02/10/2007 22:07

I FUCKING HATE CLAIRE VERITY!!

What a class A bitch! Why didn't those mums that were crying just tell her to fuck off and pick their babies up?

She thinks I'm a raving lunatic because I co-sleep, which is ok by me. I wouldn't want to do anything that she thought was good! She'd prob have a heart attack if she came to my house!

Dd had loads of cashews! I only gave her one at a time and made sure she chewed them, but she loved them! I know she doesn't have an allergy, she has been having pb since about 8 mths old!
