Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LadyTophamHatt · 26/09/2007 08:25

Ohhh LIzzz, I'm going to the meet up on sat, are you gonna pop in??

eandh · 26/09/2007 08:36

Have to admit I am a bit of a shoe snob - her everyday shoes/boots are always from Clarkes/Startrite (although latter hideously expensive) however trainers for the park/party shoes (Ellie currently has silver sparkly ballet pumps as party shoes) tend to be from next etc as they are hardly worn (Ellie such a girly girl she actually doesnt like trainers )

Think the 'proper' shoe thing comes from my Mum we always had to have 'proper' shoes from Clarkes

eandh · 26/09/2007 08:37

Lizz - Hattie has pink tights on today that ave a little ribbon bow on the ankle v.cute and v.pink!!

theUrbanDryad · 26/09/2007 09:32

i went out looking for some tights for Z the other day and could only find pink and lilac ones!! the only navy ones i found for babies were in Sainbos and were £3 for one pair!! mental! i think Z's just gonna have to have cold feet tbh, he doesn't even keep Gap socks on anymore

he's currently stood up on the sofa grizzling cause he's got hiccups. two more teeth have popped out at the top! he also now understands "no". well, he hears me say it, and looks round from whatever he's doing, gives me a cute little smile and carries on doing whatever it was! monkey!

Lizzzombie · 26/09/2007 09:59

Joke of the day (made me laugh anyway!)

Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call.
The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he
could see while he helped deliver the baby.

Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked. Heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry.

The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-yr old what she thought about what she had just witnessed.

Kathleen quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place......smack his ass again!"

VinoRouge · 26/09/2007 12:17

I tried to get ellen's feet measured on mon but she is too small for the measuring thing so tights for us for now.

any cold sufferers hope it goes soon . I've had a tickly cough for last month which wakes me up - ellen sleeps through!!

laughalot · 26/09/2007 13:35

Little lauren has small feet too she has some from Adams at the moment for when im on the school run and they are 0/3 months . I like clarks but hate the prices.

With this secret santa thing why dont we start a list [eah] you have been nominated and just put down a few ideas of what we like.

Lizzzombie · 26/09/2007 15:08

eandh · 26/09/2007 16:08

Right I'll start the santa thing to give my person some clues

Like:- Hair stuff (those set things you get in boots) Candles, Photo frames
Dislikes:- anything alcoholic , socks

Popped to town this morning and got a bargain a chalk/paper easel drawing thing reduced to 50p in its box from wilkinson (RGEE i thought of you when I saw the bargain!!) and having a very showing off proud parent moment been teaching ellie to write her name and she did it today and there is evidence on my profie pics!! (you can see bargain easel on there as well!!

geoRGEEweasley · 26/09/2007 18:23

Sorry about passing on my cold everyone I feel tons better today but lo is still struggling. Did anyone else pre-babies used to see snotty kids walking down the street and wonder why their parents didn't wipe their nose. I now know why....

Must be summat about shoes too. I have tomorrow off work for working Saturday(hurrah!) and am planning a lie in followed by big shop for new clothes (incl shoes) for me and shoes for P.

Bringing up baby.......cringe tv. Lizz massively agree re evil woman. I'll not start ranting.

Eah - 50p for that!!!!!!!!!!! That is such a bargain am off to Wilkinsons tomorrow (nice pic of E too!)

I think I'm quite easy to please for Secret Santa.
Like: socks (size 7/8) and booze (sorry Eah), chocolate (partial to Green & Blacks), books (trashy chicklit, how to bring up kids, puzzle books or recipe books in particular), music (all genre), stationery (suprised you don't have files down in your likes EaH!), bargains, surprises!
Dislikes: makeup (smellies are fine but I'm more a shower gel / bath foam than moisturiser kinda gal)

geoRGEEweasley · 26/09/2007 18:24

Wilkie just seen facebook pic and absolutely pmsl. Really cheered me up

laughalot · 26/09/2007 18:36

Well done ellie !

I am open to pressies I like smellies also like the hair things from boots, books but has to be romance . I like rose wine anything really. My one thing I wouldnt want is anything to do with children

laughalot · 26/09/2007 18:41

Ooooh meant to say people who have the name claire are pretty evil . I must admit that with the routine thing and with the not having them in your room I guess was how I did it. However no contact with them and sticking them in the garden for 4 hours is crazy I would not leave them to cry for long periods of time either.

All Claires are old bags good job my name isnt claire.

laughalot · 26/09/2007 18:41

Oooh ooh again do any off us on here have the same name ?

Mrs c where have you got to lately

laughalot · 26/09/2007 18:42

Wilkie · 26/09/2007 19:08

Great pics of Ellie!

Glad you liked my artistry RGEE

Good idea LAL re the list. Also, I am not ignoring the prices you sent over for hols - we are just exceptionally disorganised friends and haven't arranged to meet up to discuss yet!

I like: Books (Jane Green: have read Spellbound, Mr Maybe and The Other Woman but there are loads more), accessories (beads, bracelets, earrings - funky colours rather than elegant silver etc), knickers (size 10), chocolate (not white or dark)
Dislike: Smellies of any kind

I now have three Platys in my aquarium - Lizz I won't be adding the shark thanks though

laughalot · 26/09/2007 19:08

Hugs hugs hugs to mrs c

Wilkie · 26/09/2007 19:09

X-posts - starting writing, DH bought tea, finished post and you are nattering (or rather LAL is talking to herself)

laughalot · 26/09/2007 19:10

Hee hee wilkie no probs I forgot I sent them iv slept since then . Y ou are naughty though you know who your secret santa is

laughalot · 26/09/2007 19:11

I tend to talk to myself all the time

ratfly · 26/09/2007 19:11

Hi! Back from work and knackered - I have offered to teach the class from hell tomorrow. I must have been desperate... S is wearing my mum out. He is now rolling over and buggering off mid-nappy change, and isn't happy unless he is walking somewhere.
He also has a new tooth up the top. No wonder he has been so grizzly, bless him.

Sorry you are bored LAL! Your posts made me laugh - whenever I am bored I end up online.

Yeah - that woman on bringing up baby was pretty horrific. Obviously doesnt have kids, and is probably damaging the relationship between baby and family through her methods. No eye contact ?!?!?!

clues for secret santa: (good idea EAH)
likes :bath stuff, travel books or any books that win prizes (booker etc), socks (size 4), alcohol, cute animal things
dislikes: makeup etc, chocolate, chicklit

have to go - dh is back with chips

eandh · 26/09/2007 19:12

LAL you hold wilkie down and I'll quickly look on her computer and find secret santa list
