Fantastic clip GMM! So cute when they belly laugh like that.

Cannot WAIT till the schools go back and the play park, soft play etc get quiet again! Took dd to a toddler park yesterday and some F*CKER had done an enormous smelly jobbie on top of the climbing frame .

geordiemacminx · 13/08/2007 15:51

have suggested friday 31st aug meetup at the tramway.

Quite happy for you to come to mine first and we can drive in convoy if you want?

Eca - you´re on.. first run is supposed to be tonight, I´ll get back to you all and let you know how it goes. And if I don´t go, no matter what excuse I give, I expect you all to give me serious shit!

GMM - I do know what you mean and that´s how I felt aswell but the last couple of weekends I have taken him on his offer and taken off for a couple of hours and you do come back happier and wanting to be with them even more. Don´t worry about moaning on here, who doesn´t?? It´s half the point, isn´t it?!

Katy - yes Noah sleeps on his front and has always done. I used to try and turn him onto his side when I went to bed but otherwise he likes being on his tummy.. With him he would just cry and cry and cry if on his back and as soon as you turned him over would fall fast asleep so that combined with the fact that a lot of us slept on our tummies as babies and survived just fine meant we figured it was best to let him have his preference. I did fret a bit at first but now I feel fine as he can lift his head and roll (if he can be arsed he can!!)

Just dug out my sports bra - now THERE´S CLEAVAGE! hahaha, i read that if you are running you should wear one with individual cups instead of a crop top type but I reckon mine are pushed so close together, they aren´t going anywhere! If I make it through this week with 3 runs, I´ll get myself a proper one.. (lucky me )

maveta · 13/08/2007 16:13

Liath that´s GROOOOSSSSS! ew.

GMM - OMG how adorable! Very can´t wait for N´s first laugh. So sweet, it cracks me up to hear them giggle, it´s such a genuine happy sound. Awwwww..

Lucewheel - yes, not sure quite what it says about me that all of the things I want to concentrate on are appearance based...hmmm... self-obsession anyone? But hey, I´m happy to admit that when I have looked after myself and feel like I look good, I do feel good and I guess that never has applied more since having a baby and putting your body through all that.

Here´s to pampering!

Hello!
Back from weekend away last night - I survived! And even managed to have a good time despite the stress of staying in someone else's house, it being the hottest weather L has ever experienced and almost not going at all because I fell out with dh on Thursday night.

I am going out twice this week to do Festival things - to see a comedian and have dinner with some friends on Wednesday, then to a film festival film on Thursday night with a pal and then dh & I are out on Sat night for our anniversary to see another comedian and a meal. That's actaully three times - how will I cope with the excitement!

Have tried to quickly catch up on everyone's news - am glad everyone who was poorly seems to be on the mend. And to those who are feeling down, sending you all big hugs and feel better soon vibes.

xxx

Katy44 · 13/08/2007 16:17

OP posts:
geordiemacminx · 13/08/2007 16:23

its ok katy, he has another one, i'm sure it'll grow back by the time he needs it!!!!

Did you use baby scissors?

Katy44 · 13/08/2007 16:28

no they're useless I end up hacking at his nails
have some mini clippers
think I'll leave it for DH to do from now on, so far t has always had 10 fingers when he;s finished

geordiemacminx · 13/08/2007 16:33

i got some little baby ones, and usually cut them when i'm feeding c as he's less wriggly

normabutty · 13/08/2007 16:36

I use baby scissors Katy...~~I tried the baby nail clippers and did the same as you did. Also saw there was a thread on cutting baby's nails the other day and someone else said the same thing. The other thing you can try is biting them...but i couldn't get the hang of that!

flashfinn · 13/08/2007 17:02

Right....

Was set this morning to bottle feed then saw that ernie had green foremilk poo after feeding him this am and yesterday evening and my heart melted and I bf him. So today he has had:

1 x bf
1x baby porridge
1 x bottle
1 x baby rice pudding
1 x bf (this is when I fell in love with poo) Didn't fill him up though so ..
1x bottle

he is now asleep but plan to bf him when wakes up and give him more food. Then a bf at bedtime follwed by a bottle if wants more. I am then going to try to express regularly to increase supply. Haven't successfully expressed before so should beinteresting!

How can a grown woman melt at the sight of green foremilk poo? My lovely new bras ((((sobs))))

Next installment at 8pm! Hes awake for feed!!!!

geordiemacminx · 13/08/2007 17:06

I think a mixture is probably the way to go ff (in my expert opinion ).

C has had a bottle of formula every night before bed since about 6 weeks. He is now sleeping 8 til 6

How old is ernie? Unsure as to when to start C on baby rice?

Also is C the only lazy-arsed fecker that has shown absolutely no interest in rolling onto his front yet? He seems quite happy lying on his back.... just like his mammy

flashfinn · 13/08/2007 17:11

he is 4 months on 16th.

Have tried the bottle at night thing - still wakes every 2 hours ... hence the baby rice!!

geordiemacminx · 13/08/2007 17:13

C isnt 4 months til the 4th so might leave it a wee while longer.....

Sexonlegs · 13/08/2007 17:27

GMM, K has shown no interest in rolling either. She prefers to lie on her back holding on to her feet!

Liath, cannot believe what you found on the slide . I do love the word jobbie tho - reminds me of Billy Connolly!

Katy44 · 13/08/2007 17:31

ff - can I suggest a name change to fickleflashfinn?
Sorry to make fun of you, I don't mean to make light of it (well only a bit ) LOL at you melting over poo

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 13/08/2007 17:36

FF, I am confused (doesn't take much!) Was the green poo from formula or booby?

Katy44 · 13/08/2007 17:43

I very much hope she didn't have green poo coming out of her booby!!
(Sorry, couldn't resist, I've been ill forgive me )

Sexonlegs · 13/08/2007 17:51

Katy, pmsl! What a horrid thought.....

CaptainDippy · 13/08/2007 18:08

FF - You fell in love with poo!! You're nuts sweetie - hats off to you for re-commencing the BF though .... hope it goes well!

Awwww, GMM - GORGEOUS clip - love it when they laugh, mine have never laughed much. .... but hopefully P will be a more "laughing baby" than the other 2 .... ....

DH currently in the bath with his girls - the sooner they are in bed, the better ..... it's been a hell of a day! ....

flashfinn · 13/08/2007 18:10

bf green poo is result of foremilk - not sure if you get green formula poo! BF poo is very different to formula poo! Yak at green poo coming out of boob

BF him when he woke up then gave him baby porridge. Will see what happens at bedtime - must find the breast pump before then too.

ickleandficklefinn · 13/08/2007 18:29

and have added cute pic of ernie

Bed time - see you later xxx

CaptainDippy · 13/08/2007 18:51

Awwwwww - soooo sweet - thank you for sharing hon!
