Nope - me too Daisy - I haven't read or seen any...Just never really got around to it...

loonylovegood · 20/07/2007 20:47

I am a bit of a loser when it comes to HP! I do devour books though! I read the last HP in a day and it is really thick!

Bloody next! Sorry I wasn't around when you were having problems with them daisy, I fell asleep!

I'm gonna go to bed in a minute, so I can get up when dp brings the book home and spend all night reading it! I am so paranoid that someone is going to tell me what happens that I have to read it super quick!

evening you lovely lot
no HP for me either - never got into it - DH and DS LOVE it though. i'm reading Relentless at the moment, one of the best books i've ever read (it was reviewed on Richard and Judy show last week)

derlor · 20/07/2007 20:51

Daisy IKEWYM about not wanting to speak to anyone - i felt like that when i had PND after DS, it's shite i used to cross the street (on the odd occasion i made it out) whenever i saw anyone i knew coming and i HATED any one peering in the pram at my baby.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/07/2007 20:52

Say what you like about Richard and Judy, their book club rocks. All of their recommended books that I've read have been fab. I've not read Relentless, but The Time Traveller's Wife was fantastic.

dm1 · 20/07/2007 20:52

OH yeah - have pre ordered mine from Waterstones - half price!
Daisy -HP is def a reason to be happy. I envy you not having read them. You have a lot of exciting times ahead....
Great that yesterday was a good day. Kind of good to speak online and not in RL otherwise..... women, hormones, hugs, crying etc..... whereas online... women, hormones, drinking, shopping......just as cathartic!

loonylovegood · 20/07/2007 20:53

I need to start reading more adult books! I tend to read kids books, I love Philip Pullman and the Artemis Fowl books and I've just got into Terry Pratchett! I read in bed to help me wind down, so I don't like anything too taxing!

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/07/2007 20:55

That's why you guys are great...you can talk to someone without actually talking to someone IYKWIM....

....does that make me sound really sad?

Bumper will vouch for me though...I am normal, honest

annobal · 20/07/2007 20:55

Will have to try relentless - I'm currently between books... I did love the time travellers wife (apart from the ending). Have you read The Book Thief - I thought that was fab.

derlor · 20/07/2007 20:56

no Holly, you just read what makes you happy, lose yourself in the magical HP and enjoy

loonylovegood · 20/07/2007 20:57

Before HP I was really into Thomas Hardy! Now that was depressing, maybe that's why I'm now into escapism!

OP posts:
annobal · 20/07/2007 20:59

I know what you mean Daisy. It is good to really moan sometimes when you wouldn't moan in rl.

Charlie has just woken up so I think that is my wake up call - or rather feed and go to bed call.

Night all

derlor · 20/07/2007 20:59

we bought a new car today

loonylovegood · 20/07/2007 21:00

Night annobal xxx

Ooo derlor, what did you get?

OP posts:
daisyandbabybootoo · 20/07/2007 21:01

Not read the Book Thief, but it's on my wishlist. Strangely enough haven't read a right lot (lol how northern that sounds) since babyboo came on the scene

I need to get back to the library, as DH and I have banned ourselves from buying any more books till we get things sorted out in the house.

loonylovegood · 20/07/2007 21:06

Lol daisy, you northern monkey! Dp goes all northern when we go to leeds, it's very funny!

loonylovegood · 20/07/2007 21:07

lilQuidditchKel · 20/07/2007 21:10

hi all

I've used the Baby Bjorn for emergencies (ie loo visits) as well. You do what you gotta do...

So pleased to report our feeding difficulties are subsiding. I think it's the formula we're importing. Bloody NHS won't prescribe it for me [NHS hating emoticon]. Not to be smug or anything I'm just so happy to be able to feed her without her screaming for once!!

Love to all of you x x

loonylovegood · 20/07/2007 21:14

Hey lilkel, glad things are getting better for you!

Cool derlor! I bet your kids fight over who gets to sit up front!

Hi Lilkel, glad the milk is working, what are you using?

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/07/2007 21:15

lilkel...why were you posting Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs yesterday? You had some of us pondering whether you were either very tired or very bored

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/07/2007 21:16

glad S is getting better on the milk. Did you get to the bottom of her windy problems?
