msn? I know it exists but no idea how to work it!

Well - back from Ikea - successful trip - didn't buy anything not supposed to - oooggs - could have easily got you that stuff - if you can hold out til the end of July could bring it down around the 25th to PLymouth (visitng inlaws). Let me know - would be good to meet up - but will have the full clan with me!! arrrghhh school holidays!

Have been oggling the kitchens in Ikea - does anyone have one/put one in themselves? I was thinking about the freestanding one with white/oak - a nice tiled floor - glass wall cabinets and a cool smeg fridge - we have a good tiler but need people to do the electrics/gas/plumbing - not sure whether to get the ikea installers to do it or a local person - the cabinets look pretty seimply to assemble ourselves. Also this way - when looks crappy in 10 years can easily get a new one. I am so looking forward to ripping our kitchen out - its 20 years old now and smells damp!! Doing it ourselves or part ourselves will also save us lots of money and can use the money we have saved up for something else.... shoes, handbags, pefume .... So if anyone has any tips or great ideas please let me know!

Sorry for long ramble!

wcl - hope all is better soon xxx

Hes blimin awake again ffs - am going to leave him this time - he cannot be hungry again!

Night night to everyone else in msn world x

How many posts!!!!????

Am knackered. K woke up at 6.00 this morning. I know it isn;t that early, but normally it is 7.00 at the earliest.

B was awake at 4.00 scared of monsters, and was awake until 4.30. Then dh, the muppet had set the alarm for 5.30 instead of 6.30 - duuuuugh!

I think others were saying that their babes were waking again in the night. I guess it means they need an increase in milk intake during the day??

Better get on.

Hope everyone is ok. x

maveta · 03/07/2007 08:07

Eddas · 03/07/2007 08:26

Cute vid Maveta, bless him

SOKL, sorry you had a bad night. I think you're right about waking in the night and increased milk. Though at this stage as they're near weaning(well if you're gonna do it at 4m) then I might mean they'll need food soon Not sure I can remember what happened with dd. Though I know she never really woke at night

I've only read todays posts since you lot were v.chatty last night

All good here last night, dd went to bed NO FUSS at 7 then I put ds up at 8 for the first time. He didn't really settle. Not too much crying more moaning! Anyway ended up getting him back up at around 9.30. Tried to feed him, he didn't want it. But he eventually fell asleep in my arms and I carried him up. He slept in his cot til 7.30 and dd got up then too This is the first(and probably last) time they've co-ordinated their waking. Bliss. Long may it continue(yeah right)

And wooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo AF is here

maveta · 03/07/2007 08:51

Hey Eddas..lucky you with the full nights´ sleep! After a good few nights in a row when I´ve just rolled over, stuck my nipple in his mouth and fallen asleep again.. the mid-night wakenings seem to have become more of a production again. I´m not really sure why, I seem to have more milk again so when I wake up I need to actually get up and express a little off before I offer him or he chokes and splutters. Then while I´m expressing dh decides N needs changed so gets him up and does it (we had been NOT changing him in the night if it´s only a pee) so then we´re all up, lights on etc etc.

Any suggestions on how to break this new chain of events? Don´t know how to get around my boobs being so full and therefore needing to express. I could try waking a bit earlier and feeding him at e.g. 3am instead of 4am but of course every night there is the hope that he might, just MIGHT sleep through so I´m loathe to actually wake him...

Am so tired today, can´t really be bothered doing anything..what´s everyone´s plans?

liath · 03/07/2007 08:59

Bleugh night here too. Ds very restless and dd was up crying twice. Am off to a friends house who has a toddler so at least don't have to entertain dd all day and hopefully she'll nap in the car too.

Need to nip the dd crying in the bud, every time she does it DH is getting up & going through and cuddling her so now it's happening several times a night. Think we need to be tough.....

AAhhhh! I go away for a weekend and what happens? You lot have gassed so much that you've started 2 new threads, that's what! Haven't had a chance to catch up on the last tread or this one, and about to go out now, but I hope all is well with you all and that the soggy weekend didn't get anyone down too much.

We had a lovely w/e at CentreParcs (in spite of the pissing rain). Was good as I got to do some bonding with Em as I've found coping with her a little 'wearing' recently. I was actually thinking of starting a thread entitled 'AIBU to really dislike my 5 year old?' Fortunatley I can hold that one off for now .

I also kept having to remind myself that I couldn't log onto MN to check up on what everyone was doing. How is that?

Anyway, thank you Dippy, the Doidy cup has arrived safely. I'm looking forward to trying it in a month or so .

Will do some mammouth catching up later....

Sexonknackeredlegs · 03/07/2007 09:34

Hello!

Wow Ellie, Joe is starting nursery already! Are you planning to go back to work soon?
Hope he has fun.

Emmy, your weekend sounds great. Was it the Canter Parcs at Longleat?
It seems lots of us recently have found our first children/older children hard recently. I actually started a thread called Am I fit to be a mother on Friday, as I had been so awful to B. Things have calmed down now thankfully. Ikwym re bonding again. I took B to a party on Sunday, without K, and it was so good to be able to concentrate fully on B.

Liath, sorry to hear you had a pants night too. Hope you have a fun morning.

Eddas, how many ounces is ds having now. Is it still 6 each time? This is what K is having, although she invariably falls asleep and only has 4/5. At the bottle before bed, I make up a 7 ounce once, and she left 2 ounces as she was completely sparko! Probably why she woke up early. Hope this isn't a trend.

I think we started B on baby rice at 17 weeks which she hated!

Hope everyone is ok. Lovely and sunny here just now - long may it last!

Back later. xx

normabutty · 03/07/2007 09:40

Glad you had a nice time at c/parks EM.

Another one with a bad night here...Erin up grumbling at 4am...dh got up with her at about half five cos she wasn't settling. I feel shitty (felt sick last night and didn't have much tea)...having some plain biccies now to try & settle it.

CaptainDippy · 03/07/2007 10:24

Bleurgh & {{{{{hugs}}}} to all who had night's......

Glad you had a lovely time at Centre Parcs, EM - Great stuff that you managed to spend some quality bonding time with DD1. I am taking DD1 to a Birthday Party on my own on Sat - it is only 2 hrs, but I am looking forward to having a little bit of exclusive time with her. Glad you got the Doidy Cup ok too. Every elses should be with me v.v.v.soon!

With ref to JoMa & nursery - She is going back to work soon & Joe is currently in nursery 1 or 2 (can't remember which) mornings a week for 2 hrs (inbetween feeds, but has provided EBM); but until she starts work, she can use the time for Matthew - yey! I think that is right .......

Tired here and everyone in DippyLand v.snotty - yuk!!

CaptainDippy · 03/07/2007 10:28

Should say bad nights ....

CaptainDippy · 03/07/2007 10:30

Awwww, maveta - CUTE!!

mammyjo · 03/07/2007 11:22

Morning! Just popping in quickly. F having a whingy morning. Maybe she knows that I will be taking her to get her second lot of injections today. Not looking forward to that.

CaptainDippy · 03/07/2007 11:42

{{{{hugs}}}} hope it goes ok Mammyjo - I hate taking them to have it done - breaks my heart - Esp not looking forward to DD1 having to go to hospital for operation in Aug - not sure I'm going to cope ... let alone her, poor wee thing....

mammyjo · 03/07/2007 12:00

Oh bless her. Sure she will be fine. I am a children's nurse so have taken lots of children to theatre. Always hug and comfort the parents. I know that if I was in the same situation I would fall to pieces!

Kneehighinnappies · 03/07/2007 12:03

I am Knackered today ha dno sleep last night as the Dt's were snuffling around in the cot and kept waking each other up, plus i had some rather painful trapped wind.
Dh cooked dinner last night and the trapped wind has gone but now I've got the trotts

It looks like it is going to be another one of those weeks

CaptainDippy · 03/07/2007 12:03

Awwww, thank you fory our reassurnce. I know she'll be fine (much more stoic & braver than me!!); but I love her so much....

Sexonknackeredlegs · 03/07/2007 12:08
