Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Remind me about it next Sat morning then, so that I remember to stick in on to record (letting dh watch some war movies thing at the mo, so better not take over tv to set it now).

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 21:50

Ah was just about to say Sky+ it before i read the whole post

Ooooo i got more red hair dye today

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 21:51

You do have Sky+ don't you, can't remember now

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/07/2007 21:52

Aren't you or Chloe supposed to be bringing some down to dye Friz's hair?

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/07/2007 21:53

Absolutely - I'd be lost without it!

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 21:54

can't be me, i don't remember if it is

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 21:57

Yes everyone should have Sky+ its fabby Although i've got Teletubbies on a series link at the mo so not so good for that lol. I'm getting a bit sick of them already but it is the only thing that makes ds sit still and watch.

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/07/2007 22:01

Have you tried him with Night Garden?

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 22:07

I think we did and he wasn't interested. I remember dh saying wot the hell is this crap you're making me watch when it was on and i don't think we'd have put it on if ds wasn't in the room

I bought him a cuddly toy Po from someone on mumsnet and he loves it. He carries it around cuddling and kissing it and saying 'ahhhhhh' He likes the baby sun on Teletubbies too.

mustrunmore · 07/07/2007 22:16

Ds1 used to love the sun baby! I have fond memories of teletubbies, as the first time I ever saw it was at dh's flat, after about only the second or third time i'd stayed there, and we had a lie in and watched it before going to work on a late shift

I've preordered the night garden cuddlies, as ds1 just adores the crappy thing for some reason. He also thinks ds2 is Macca Pacca because a hood on a coat of his is the same shape as MaccaPacca's ears or whatever those bits are

I'll talk to ds1 and see if he's ready to part with his teletubbt cuddlies, as I'm sure we've got Lala and Tinky Winky somewhere. If he'll let go, you can have them, but no promises yet!!

Fimbles? They're annoying bright things too, so should be popular!

MaccaPacca · 07/07/2007 22:18

Ds2 clearly isn't MaccaPacca, because I am!

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/07/2007 22:22

Where's Jas then. Has she done an Augustus Gloop on us?

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 22:27

We've tried sitting him in front of Tweenies, Fimbles, and a few others i can't remember and only Teletubbies works.

Hello mrm

mustrunmore · 07/07/2007 22:28

Maybe she's on the wine now, to counter the sweetness!! Or still there? Or lost on the way back?

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 22:28

Or should i say MaccaPacca

mustrunmore · 07/07/2007 22:29

Hello Phoenix

Both the boys here love it if I just put some photos on slideshow, mainly of themselves

They also spent ages watching Thunderbirds on youtube this morning!

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 22:30

Ah Cadbury World. You had me lost for a minute

KelBelle · 07/07/2007 22:30

DS LOVES the Night Garden, I actually recorded it tonight and he watched it before bed whilst I was getting him ready. He literally doesnt move from the TV when it is on.

CSWS - thanks for the hug last night, I did need it.

Flame- hope you are having a good night out now, you sound like you deserve it.

Friz - I just make cakes for people I know, July is a manic month in our family. My nieces cake had a handbag on and it looked quite good.

The girl with meningitis is doing better, she may be home on Monday. My sister said she has made a drastic improvement since Thursday so that is good news.

I'm fed up sitting in every night ladies, I need a new man!!!!

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 22:33

Yes mrm our screen saver on the laptop is a photo slideshow, mainly of ds, and he ooos and aaahhs at them for a while til he gets bored and runs off to throw some more toys around.

mustrunmore · 07/07/2007 22:34

Nah, men are a hassle I'd love to share mine with you, but I'm not going to I like them too much

You should record all the night gardens, then make a fortune doing dodgy copies! I'd buy one off you Er, is it on at the weekends then? Thought it was only weekdays, so I'vetold ds1 that

mustrunmore · 07/07/2007 22:34

Phoenix; animals work well too for ds2.

KelBelle · 07/07/2007 22:35

One of you was talking about tantrums last night - think it was chloe - My DS has definately learnt the art of it this week and literally screams and sobs!!!! Is the best thing to do ignore them? He threw a paddy yesterday as he didnt want me to strap him in his pushchair and he arched his back and screamed, I just pushed him into the seat, strapped him in and ignored him and he did calm down. I'm worried he will grow up being a spoilt brat although I'm sure they all go through it!! It's just bloody hard work!

Phoenix · 07/07/2007 22:36

Ds likes animals too. Except our dog who he loves to hit and pull his tail

KelBelle · 07/07/2007 22:36

It was on at 6.20pm on CBeebies so I'm assuming it is on every night. I'm definately going to make a video up for him that way if I want some peace and quiet for half hour I'm guaranteed it!!!!

mustrunmore · 07/07/2007 22:41

Oh well. Ds1 wasnt allowed telly today anyway, for not going to bed nicely last night, and it'll be the same tomorrow!

A firm prod in the tummy gets ds2 to bend enough to strap him in the buggy!

Significant event of today..... highchair gone up the loft and booster seat brought down.
