It's been chucking it down here too most of the day, it started when we took Ellen out for a walk earlier on. Typical! She wasn't having any of her first formula feed today so was a bit peeved, think I expected it to be a piece of cake.

Lizz - how did you get on introducing FF? I made up 4oz - is that about right? Seem to remember you saying you were doing 50/50 at the mo.

Wilkie -I've got the third set of jabs this Thurs so will be prepared for some crankiness afterwards. LO better be ok though cos we have swimming lesson on Thurs afternoons. Oh and even though I've not started weaning I have given Ellen a taste of petit filous a few times cos I have them every day (I became a big fan of them while pg).

Rgee - how did DH get on in his run? I thought of you and Pippa heading out to watch the runners. Hope the rain held off until you got home altho am sure you had the raincover on to be prepared!

2happy - HIYA!!!!

laughalot · 13/05/2007 20:13

Spinning cant type im knackered

RGee · 13/05/2007 20:27

Hi all! Once again, you've been gossiping in my absence Hello 2Happy!

I feel sick. I've just had a Dominos which was uncalled for as had lovely lunch at step sisters (along with a few gins plus a tia maria coffee), and after my gorgeous meal out last night. Nom nom (just for you Carrot ). All you guys having proper home cooked food (I normally cook proper food, except on Sunday evenings, but haven't done a roast for ages). Managed to get back last night to see quite a bit of Eurovision. Quality telly!

DH's half marathon this morning went fine. He was a pacemaker for a mate so a bit slower than normal, but still managed to get round in an hour and a half. We went to watch it near our house, and the weather was perfect for running (raincover not needed!). I've entered a 5km race for next Sunday which should be a laugh as I haven't run for so long.

I was going to do personals, but you're all talking about food (what a surprise ) and making me feel sick. However Yorkshire puds Jodie, and crumble 2Happy - big NOMS! See Lizz, crumble is well in fashion on this thread

Hope you all have a good night tonight. I'm off to bed soon, am sooo tired (full belly syndrome?). Night night!

ellieandhattie · 13/05/2007 20:35

Well we got home eventually left il's at 6.30 and normally they both drop off to sleep in the car but no not tonight Ellie singing random lines from songs and Hattie gurgling away at her. So we drove round for a bit but obvious they were not sleeping so home at 7.30 then took till 8 to get them to sleep but I have child free day tomorrow so its all fine

Laughalot - serves you right for doing exercise (and on a Sunday !)

Rgee- definate full belly syndrome

Vin - Hope she takes her ff tomorrow

Lizz mmmm pudding sounds lovely

Jodie - is Ethan better now?

Wilkie - did you try J on any other DVD's?

Mrscarrot - nom nom (grin] sorry!!

I have decided to start easting alot more healthier tomorrow as feeling a real lard arse latey and dont feel comfortable in any of my clothes plus feeling lethargic/tired more and I know alot of its because I am overweight so have dug out my old weightwatchers book and going to try and stick to points bt weigh myself once a week

Wilkie · 13/05/2007 20:38

Just eaten a big bar of Dairy Milk chunky in celebration of fitting into my size 10 jeans ....well it was good but bet they don't fit now

I'm terrible at diets - as soon as I lose a pound I have a celebratory meal/sweets/choc bar which then undoes my hard work

J crying out in his sleep which is a bit random

LL - PMSL - are you typing as you spin????

RGee - (I) that will be your bum in the morning!!!

OP posts:
Wilkie · 13/05/2007 20:39

We finally had that moment all parents dread.

It took nearly 2 years, but it happened.

We can no longer smugly say "never happened to us"

We had a code brown...

...in the bath

EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!

Wilkie · 13/05/2007 20:40

2Happy - did you pick it out with your fingers???? Was it DS1 or 2????

OP posts:
2Happy · 13/05/2007 20:47

It was ds1, so a proper log...

And what did I do? Why, I said "I'll dry ds1, you scoop!" do dh!!! hahahahahahahaha!

2Happy · 13/05/2007 20:48

to dh!

Wilkie · 13/05/2007 20:49

Excellent work

2Happy · 13/05/2007 20:50

Thank you , I was impressed too, but let's face it, his job involves a whooole lot of shite, so he's used to it (tht was my excuse anyway!)

Wilkie · 13/05/2007 20:55

And he did have his arm up your fanjo giving you a sweep so what's a bit of poo eh???

OP posts:
JodieG1 · 13/05/2007 20:57

Rgee - they were lovely

eah - he's getting there, almost all better now thankfully

2happy - lol, we've had that happen a couple of times, dh has "dealt" with it every time so far lol

ellieandhattie · 13/05/2007 21:22

oooo I am glad I have yet to have that expeorence to deal with

TheShopaholic · 13/05/2007 21:30

me too, yuk

Shimmer · 14/05/2007 07:24

UD - They're discussing whether mothers should have the legal right to breastfeed in public on GMTV this morning. Might want to phone/text in about your picnic?

Wilkie · 14/05/2007 07:26

I think is is appalling that people think you shouldn't BF in public????? If I was nearer UD I would come to your picnic an pretend to BF cos it makes me cross. I didn't realise it was such a wide spread issue!

OP posts:
LadyTophamHatt · 14/05/2007 07:40

one of the reason I really wanted to BF was so that whne someone approached me to say not to do it there I'd rip them apart.

I'm the most pro BFing bottle feeder on earth I think.

(and yes I do with I'd done it from the start so that it worked this time but there you go)

Lizzzombie · 14/05/2007 08:19

Morning.
So if its being made illegal to ask a BF woman to move on if she is BF in public can we arrest anyone who asks us to do this?

LTH - how was your walk on Saturday? Where did you go?

Vino - it appears my Lo is a bit of a trougher, (can't imagine where he gets that!) so swapping between BF and FF isn't a problem for him. He has BF at 6am & 6pm but a BF (7oz of Apitamil, he takes between 6-7oz) at 9am, 12 & 3pm.

We didnt do a dream feed last night for the first time. Worst night sleep I've ever had. I kept expecting him to wake up hungry. Which he didnt. He slept straight through from 7.30pm to about 5.45am! Can't believe my luck!

laughalot · 14/05/2007 08:46

I flippin wish my lauren would go through without me getting up endless times to put her dummy in .

Well had a good weekend my parents where over which was great so had a bit of a break they just played with the kids all weekend it was a shame its just peed it down.

Spinning was crazy but I did it and feel ok today better than last week. I wish they would find that little girl that link you posted eah was very freaky and I so wish it is true.

Right need to clean up my house it is a tip.

RGee · 14/05/2007 08:50

Good morning!

Lizz, am impressed with the dream feed. Shimmer, did the same happen to you? I am thinking about dropping it but she still takes 5 - 6 oz so am not sure she'd go through the night. Don't think I coud face getting up at 3.30am again!

I guess I should go and watch GMTV and see what the ridiculous argument is against bf. FGS, these people against bf in public are so pathetic. Has it been on yet? UD, I so hope you ring in!

2Happy - pmsl at 'code brown'. I always have a bath with lo once a week and I think secretly dh can't wait til she does a code brown whilst I am in the bath, just so he can rofl!

EAH - what are you going to do with your child free day?

Wilkie - pmsl at my bum. You are so right Am very of your size 10 jeans. EAH I am going to join you on your health kick. I am back down to pre preg weight (size 14 generally but with big knockers) but have been left with the jelly belly. I think I do eat well (excusing the odd blow out weekend) - I love my fruit and veg (and dark chocolate but that's good for you ) - but it's my lack of hard exercise.

Catch up later!

Wilkie - PMSL at the arm comment
PCF - congrats to dp's sister ...newborns don't half make our babies seem enormous don't they?
Lal - I swear one of these days I'm gonna tie ds2's dummy in with a piece of string or something!
Shimmer - was the GMTV thing any good, UD did you call in?

Should we start a Jan thread exercise/healthy eating support group?! You lot are guilting me into thinking I have to do exercise - so keep talking about how healthy you're being and I may eventually get of my fat arse! I did a bit on the trampoline at my parents (me and dsis have gone shares on a 14ft trampoline for the kids...honest it's for the kids not us...really) but that's the nearest I've come to exercise since....ooh since I got pg I should think!! I like the idea of spinning tho, sounds good exercise. Wonder if there's any ner me? Problem is what to do with the kids while I try to exercise. (And what to do with the mountain of chocolate in the cupboard!)

vinorouge · 14/05/2007 09:25

No code brown for us yet either.

I was watching BBC breakfast earlier and they had someone from BF coalition(UD I emailed my MP and he has now added his name in support!) and the most annoying american woman who finds BF in public revolting and just wanted to harp on about how she had BF 2 kids without ever needing to BF in public. She also claimed it makes a lot of noise and you need a lot of kit. She can come and see me on the bus anytime !!! All you need is your boobs and one hungry baby - belive you me you get a lot less stares BF than allowing her to scream....No-one has said anything to me about BF and I've fed here there and everywhere.

Shite weather here. Going to take a leaf out of Lizz's book and do some baking.
