Had a couple of code browns in our house over the years, but have to admit its only been my son thats done it never my daughter, is it a boy thing perhaps ?

Must have missed the GMTV and radio 4 thing, cant believe there can be such a fuss over this. UD, you must send Mandy a personalised invite to your picnic via the house of commons? I so wish I could get there now, but I'll further the campaign in its northern reaches by BF as publicly as possible for the next 6 months or so and woe betide anyone who dare even give me s o much as a look .

After GMTV I got sucked into watching Jeremy Kyle, and lasted about 5 minjutes. God, my life is just so different ........

The most exciting thing that happened this weekend was that a swallow flew into the house via the back door, probably looking for a nesting site. What chaos, and it was only in for 5 minutes or so, shreeking DD running around shouting for DH (where are they when you need them ?) talk about a code brown, there was tons of it mixed with blood all through the conservatory. I managed to safelyget it out (still no sign of DH) but it took an age to clear up, but the bird managed to fly away. No chance of it happening today tho, grey, cold and wet up here.

Lizzzombie · 14/05/2007 10:05

KWK - well done on getting the bird out. I live in fear of that happening, we always have seagulls & pidegeons on our window sills. I'm not sure what I would do if one got in!
I always turn off the tv for the day when Jeremy Kyle comes on. But, saying that, it does make you feel better about yourself, where do they find these rotters!? What kid of person isnt sure who the father of their baby/s is/are? Very scary! x

RGee · 14/05/2007 11:37

Kat - our cat once brought in a magpie, and when I came home from work it had escaped from the murderers claws, was very much alive and kept flying into our kitchen window trying to get out. There was blood and shit all over the window and over our washing up on the draining board. Managed to actaully pick up the magpie (gloves on) and rescue it, and decided to throw most of the washing up away. There was no way I'd be eating off those plates in a hurry!!

God it's miserable weather here. It really is grim oop north . Might have to venture out to buy some eggs so I can join in with the baking and compare notes. loved your cup cakes btw Lizz. My tummy has deflated after the weekends extravagence so time to pump it back up again

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2007 12:08

Morning! Well, nearly lunch..I've been to the osteopath today, my back still achs after the epidural, but it was relaxing there. Judy, the receptionist loves babies and I've been going there for years so she looks after him. I could hear her them both laughing, it was so sweet.

Wilkie- do you know, I can't really remember when I gave dairy, both were weaned around five months (ds1 closer to four) but I think it was after six months before they had yoghurts. DD had asthma though and I have all sorts of bleeding allergies so I'll probably wait this time.

Everyone is getting concerned with weight/health now aren't they? Well, apart from those in their size 10's I've joined this thread on here that encourages everyone to have TEN portions of fruit and veg a day instead of five. I guess the thinking is that as well as it being good for you there's less space to eat junk? I'm giving it a go anyway, I've been stuffing since the wedding.

Bloody recycling is here and woken LO WHEN HE WOULD HAVE STAYED ASLEEP FOR A BIT LONGER, HOW ANNOYING, crashing bottles outside

Oh, and thanks for that list Shopaholic, there's LOADS of them, some make me laugh. Baby Noah and Baby Da vinci

Now what shall I have for lunch, soup maybe, horrible day outside, toulouse sausage and lentil. Not made by me!

ellieandhattie · 14/05/2007 12:40

morning - enjoying my e and h free day half way through painting hatties's bedroom walls hoping to get all the emulsion done today (they are not coming home till 4) just stopped for quick tea break!!

Right better go as if I stay here to long I know I wont move again!!

JodieG1 · 14/05/2007 14:21

Anyone else want to join me here

2Happy · 14/05/2007 14:38

So am I the only one with sunshine all day so far then?? If I can get ds2 to sleep, I'm off to mow the lawn. (and if I can't I'll sit here and eat chocolate...oh dear)

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2007 15:55

Jodie- Um, No! Sorry

LadyTophamHatt · 14/05/2007 16:14

2happy....I'm quite sure you haven't heard me talking about healthy eating and exercise.

In fact I'm positive you haven't.

At the mile for maude walk on saturday (it went well Lizzz, just bettween the 2 peirs in B'ton)
I had 25 minutes to get from the peir to the train station....it's fair walk, not miles and miles but most of it is up hill.

Its the most exercise I've done since April last year and I was dripping with sweat when I got on the train.

Attractive, eh??

Hey LL, cover you ears for a minute...... Can I just say I HATE the words "spinning class".
Whoever thought of naming a class that when it just riding a bike needs to be shot.
I don't care if its too music. Its just riding a bike.

Ok LL, you can uncover them now

Lizzzombie · 14/05/2007 16:26

LTH - shoot, wish I'd known about the mile for maude walk. it was practically outside my front door....you could have popped in for one of my cup cakes!
Carrot - 10 pieces of Fruit and veg a day? are you mad? what are you trying to do? shit the fat off? Loo paper is more expensive than chocolate! get a grip girl! You're married now you are allowed to get as fat as you want its actively encouraged isnt it?
Jodie - I dont understand that thread you posted. Why would people not know what to clean in their house? Am I missing the point somewhere?

Just been to baby massage, and have to say mym baby is a child genius, crawling is def not far away methinks...he rolled from his back to his tummy (easy) then on to his back, then on to his tummy...I think he was trying to get into the little girl babies nappy next to us! ..does anyone know where I can buy baby straight jackets to keep him in one place for a while longer?

Shimmer · 14/05/2007 16:48

shite weather here too. Did a brief shopping trip earlier and got soaked
and didn't get anything i wanted in the shops.

Carrot good luck with all the fruit and veg eating - i have trouble enough eating 5 in a day... I was actually thinking of joining a dieting thread on here, but then i'd just spend more time sitting on my arse at the computer, and (kind of like the cleaning thing jodie) it's not like i don't know what i'm supposed to be doing...just too lazy to actually do it.

RGee we did drop the dreamfeed in HK and he was sleeping from about 7:30 to 6:30, but since we've been back he's been waking up at about5:30 but he does go stright back to sleep after his bottle til about 7. Hoping one day he'll just miraculously make it through til 7 without waking up

Ahh.. Freddie's just woken from another mammouth sleep....

LadyTophamHatt · 14/05/2007 16:49

Lizzz, go to B&Q and buy either a hot glue gun or a nail gun and glue/nail his clothes to the floor while he;s in them.

Its the only thing that will work. I promise you.

JodieG1 · 14/05/2007 16:59

Liz - I think it's just something that helps people organise their house better. Mine is tidy but I always end up wth clutter and never get time to clean as much as I'd like so it breaks it up into small amounts which seems more manageable. Loads of people do it and find it helpful. I've tried it in the past but never kept up with it. House is far better now than it used to be but I'd like it to be sparkling and I'm not great at time management hehe.

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2007 17:02

I have A CLEANER, hahaha.

JodieG1 · 14/05/2007 17:02

It's dh's birthday today so he's home now. I booked him a massage at the spa round the corner which he loved and a remote controlled plane which he's flown into a garden of a neighbour lol. He's 29 now Just had a nice dinner as a family of turkey, parsley potatoes, white cabbage, carrots and brocolli. Was lovely.

Crap weather here too today. Hope it brightens up again soon.

Ds1 seems to be fully potty trained now, hasn't had an accident in about a week now I'm so pleased, only took about a week to do it.

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2007 17:03

so shoot me

JodieG1 · 14/05/2007 17:03

Carrot - we had a cleaner while I was pregnant but got rid of her after as I didn't need her anymore. I do prefer to do it myself most of the time.

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2007 17:05

Do you? God, I don't, I love Lyndsay

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2007 17:06

Your tea sounds nice

MrsCarrot · 14/05/2007 17:12

LIZZ, pmsl at 'shit the fat off' that's hilarious! I'll let you know

Lizzzombie · 14/05/2007 17:37

LadyTophamHatt · 14/05/2007 17:38

LadyTophamHatt · 14/05/2007 17:38

Lizzzombie · 14/05/2007 17:39

Sorry - but couldn't resist writing that.
I have seen your photos, you appear not to be in any need to loose weight. Please excuse my cheekiness....! x

Lizzzombie · 14/05/2007 17:40

LTH - have you not trained your kids to do the housework for you so you can sit on your arse on MN all day?!
As soon as DJ starts crawling properly I'm going to be tying dusters to his knees.
(2 birds 1 stone etc)
