makes me shudder, and it's so greedy, raspy tongues, urrgh, you have a whole pot

Lizzzombie · 13/05/2007 10:38

Chocolate pudding things went down a treat last night. SO EASY TO MAKE.
250g of dark choc melted
250ml double cream whipped up (or whipping cream)
Fold in choc, mix well
chill.

I probably chilled for too long as they were quite hard, but still rather lush. I put tinned raspberrys and a tot of rum at the bottom, and fresh raspberries and icing sugar dusted over the top.

Nice!

TheShopaholic · 13/05/2007 11:53

Would you lot please stop posting yummy recipes....I need to lose weight fast and these are just too tempting

Morning all.Freddie has been up since 5:30 this morning as well, but I seem to have managed to waste most of the morning pottering around doing nothing Very impressed with those of you doing roasts. DP and I are off bed shopping in a mo and Dp suggested picking up McDonalds on the way back for lunch

F has now been sleeping for nearly 3 hours this morning!! He woke up at 5:30 and was up until about 9, when i put him back in his cot for a nap. He woke up at 10 but was mega grumpy and whiny for about half an hour so i put him back in his cot and he fell back asleep and is still sleeping!! Don't know whats gotten into him. May be some sort of delayed jet lag? He doesn't usually sleep this much in a whole day! I tried to wake him up a minute ago, but he just moaned a bit and went back to sleep.... Not sure how long i should actually leave him before trying again....

JodieG1 · 13/05/2007 12:46

One thing I always stick to, never wake a sleeping baby

Wilkie - roast was yummy, homemade yorkshire puddings too and lovely crispy roast potatoes Just waiting for the vanilla cake to finish baking now, any minute

Nemo2007 · 13/05/2007 12:52

Am doing a roast today too..mmmm..have decided to join slimming world this week..eek...god help me as my only bit of luxury is some choccie to get me through the day..however I am extremely overweight so need to do something about it!! Also think I might book in to get my haircut in the next couple of weeks as its nearly by my bum now which is wayyyy too long and I dont have time to do anything with it..wonder if I can sell it for someones weave or wig

MrsCarrot · 13/05/2007 13:55

Me too, but not yet, DH just gone to but the pork, hope it crackles, and then we're having apricot and walnut stuffing and LOADS of yummy veg and apple sauce. Mmm. Amazed some of you have already eaten yours, I thought sunday lunch was always four or fivepm

MrsCarrot · 13/05/2007 13:56

BUY the pork, buy it not but it, must start previewing messages

JodieG1 · 13/05/2007 13:59

I usually make mine for around 4 but we want to watch the west ham game at 3 so I did it for 12 and we'll have sandwiches or similar later. We had turkey, sage and onion stuffing, roast potatoes, yorkshire puds, carrots, brocolli, sweetcorn and white cabbage Gravy too. It was really nice and we've also had some vanilla cake now whic tasted lovely if I do say so myself hehe.

MrsCarrot · 13/05/2007 14:01

mmm, sounds gorgeous, jodie, have you tried putting fennel seeds in the cabbage, really tasty and good for bf too..

JodieG1 · 13/05/2007 14:07

Yours sounds like it's going to be great too I have't tried that is it to do with milk production? I have loads of milk so I'll avoid if so! I still leak and spray Ethan in the face when he pulls off lol.

MrsCarrot · 13/05/2007 14:10

think so, I've always just about had enough, but never loads, never needed breast pads or anything. I worry there's not enough but lo is pretty big now so it's probably fine. Enjoy the game

JodieG1 · 13/05/2007 14:14

I wish I didn't need breastpads, such a pain. I leak a lot but it's worse overnight as he goes a little longer between feeds. I usually get about 4-5oz from one side when I express too and it only takes 10 mins! I hope he drops his night feeds slowly or I'll be really uncomfortable.

MrsCarrot · 13/05/2007 14:18

imppressive yield never could express

JodieG1 · 13/05/2007 14:27

I feel like a cow a lot of the time lol.

Lizzzombie · 13/05/2007 14:31

I'm bored. DP has gone to the pub. There is nothing on tv, I have done all the ironing & cleaning & LO is sleeping (he is sleeping loads more at the moment too, think its a growth thing). Its nasty weather down here so I am not sure I can be arsed to go outside either.
bored bored bored!

Lizzzombie · 13/05/2007 14:32

I hate breast pads, am always really concious of them..but then again, more concious of having wet patches! The mornings are the worst, don't you hate waking up in your own wet patch!

Wilkie · 13/05/2007 14:52

Mmmmm nice talk about wet patches and BF

Has anyone else found after the third lot osf jabs that their LO was cranky for days afterwards. J is really really cranky, not at all like him, and nothing seems to pacify him....

Hello!
Thanks for missing me, Wilkie , bog off the rest of you for not . Just struggling a bit with sleep deprivation and colds at the mo. Been lurking tho.... good
title Wilkie, hmmm......I see I have a rival...

Welcome back Shimmer!

Never seen baby einsteins, ds1 so happy watching tractor dvds

Michael Portillo! God he's so physically repulsive if I saw him he'd put me off my lunch, surely he's more off-putting to the general public than someone doing something normal and natural!

Breast pads and leaks - I can spray right over ds2 and over the pillow he's lying on to hit my trousers, deffo can't do without pads! But they are a PITA - I went into work when ds1 was something like 3m old, couldn't work out why everyone was staring at my chest, was about to shout "yes I know they're bigger than they were pre-ds1 but there's no need to STARE at them" then glanced down...realised my pads had slipped and were poking out my top, but no-one had told me !

UD - I hope MrUD gave the garage proper what for! And I hope they sort it AND give a refund.

We're having roast beef today, and rhubarb crumble for puds.

What else have I missed...Oh that "northerner" jibe from Katie! Why does everyone go on about how "intelligent" she is, she's just another ignorant bint who thinks that East Anglia is a hell of a trek Northwards, it's a different country by Manchester, we live in caves and paint our faces blue in Leeds, and the country just ends at about Newcastle and there's nothing North of it except afew bears and woolly mammoths .

And the list, I'll put Looshkin back on if it's ok, she doesn't post but I know she lurks (blows kiss)

Wilkie, he may be more cranky because of the pneumococcal, it made ds1 a bit gurney and that was with him having it as a catch up so on its own and not with any other jabs. Hope he's better soon.
