morning all. Well F woke up at 5:30 again, which i'm beginning to get quite pissed off with. He was obviously just hungry though as he did go back to sleep more or less straight away after his bottle until 7:30, so i suppose i shouldn't complain tooooo much. I just luuuuurve complaining

Gosh Trixy how awful Have you managed to get all your stuff back inside now? I've only been broken into once, which was ages ago, when i was living with an ex. But I do remember i was quite shaken up about it. It was years ago but i still distinctly remember getting home late one evening and walking into the living room and going "Urrr... where's your computer gone?" to the ex

Hope you have a better day today EAH.

Thank God Ghazal's finally gone. How useless was she?!? PMSL at Simon as well Rgee. Who would have guessed he was so multi-talented! Actually PMSL even more at Tre's embarrasment at Simon trying to be 'street' Did you know Katie's only 31? Doesn't she look about 40?

Ahhh better go F's shouting for some attention again.

theUrbanDryad · 17/05/2007 09:00

ooooh Lizzz you are brave! i wouldn't post that anywhere else on MN if i were you, you'll get flamed! i agree with you to an extent FWIW. i offered an elderly lady my seat once, it was right at the front of the bus as i had the buggy with me, she refused and then stood right next to me tutting. maybe it was the same mad old lady who tutted at your friend! nothing irritates me more than tutting. i nearly stabbed someone the other day who was behind me in the checkout queue at tescos's, ramming her trolley into my ankles and tutting. god knows what her problem was!

am getting panicky about the picnic now. had mad dreams about it, and the memorial service for dh's godfather. also had a dream about little Madeline, dreamed she was found in a white Volvo van. i don't even think Volvo's make vans!! i see she's still not been found.

canmummy · 17/05/2007 09:38

Good morning!

My nights are getting worse not better! She woke up at 12.30 and I was soooo tired I thought I'm absolutely not feeding her! Don't know if it was the right decision or not but she eventually went back to sleep for another hour. Dh reckons she's got belly ache as I had a curry the other night - might explain the HUGE poo she's done this morning.

So I'm in a foul mood now because of being awake half the night, dd2 is demanding I take her shopping right now for some new holiday clothes, I have enough washing to keep me going til god knows when, I've put 2 pounds on - ooh Shimmer do you think we'll turn into horrible complaining old women that detest young mums with babies

Lizzzombie · 17/05/2007 09:51

hah - UD - what worse - gassing old people or stabbing chavs in shupermarkerts?!

not that we would do or condone either obviouisly, i was of course just teasing!

Lizzzombie · 17/05/2007 09:57

omg - there was just a woman on Jeremy Kyle who had named her little boy 'Beckham'. That is SO classy. Why did I not think of that? If have have another little boy in the future, I may well call him that!

theUrbanDryad · 17/05/2007 10:03

i'm gonna call my future ds Rooney

Lizzzombie · 17/05/2007 10:23

Or, what would be really cool, if Ronaldino means 'little Ronaldo' then 'little Ronaldino' would be "Ronaldinioinio" that would be really original!

MrsCarrot · 17/05/2007 10:27

My nights seem to be getting worse too, canmummy, I'm hoping that its just a growth spurt but I feel very rough this morning. Not helped by dh snoring, dd waking up TWICE to be tucked in (having tricky time with her at the moment) and then cats started yowling at about 5am. I honestly would have shot them had I a gun. I mean it!

Trixy poor you, make sure you report it etc! Loads of stuff has milk in btw, you really have to look hard, if you like teacakes you'd probably like coconut macaroons thought, try them! Also, I am thinking of making carrotcake (now there's an idea) as its made with oil not butter, and I have wheat free flour, and the topping, well, I haven't resolved that yet. Maybe just icing?

I think my period may be coming, not fair with all this seemingly constant feeding but I've been really tearfull and I defilitely have a stomach ache now. Can't be bothered to have that again!

Lizz- LOL at your gassing the old folks! They are extraordinarliy rude sometimes but UD's right, post that elsewhere and it'll be a big Lizzbash Have you seen the PT spaces threads? Honestly, some people on here are SO angry.

RGee · 17/05/2007 10:31

Just a quick message...I'm excited!!

Just opened the post and Pippa has only gone and won the premium bonds!!!!

Not the big prize I hasten to add, but fifty quid. She only has a hundred in there and it was her first draw

theUrbanDryad · 17/05/2007 10:40

well done Pippa! she was obviously born under a lucky star!

MrsCarrot · 17/05/2007 10:40

Oooh, well done, Pippa!

ellieandhattie · 17/05/2007 10:41

woooooo rgee not bad return huh maybe a few extra 0's next time

Lizzzombie · 17/05/2007 11:27

Well done Rgee & Pippa! I've never won any & had them for years!
Carrott - what is a PT Space?
Please don't think I am evil for posting about old people. I am sure there are some nice ones somewhere!

MrsCarrot · 17/05/2007 11:54

parent toddler, Lizz. Some mnetters get VERY cross about others using them and other mnetters get VERY cross with them for moaning. Especially vitriolic are the threads where people say disable badge holders should not use PT spaces. Many a virtual pot of popcorn has gone around on those ones!

Congrats Pippa! Sh!t, reminds me I'd totlly forgotten about ds2's CTF cheque!

Trixy - scary stuff. Have the police been?

Lal - yayyyy at the sleep! Hope it's repeated tonight.

Crap night here last night. Tried to give ds2 dream feed, except he woke up and decided it ws time to play. Trying to get him to sleep when a movement caught my eye - there was a frickin mouse in the bedroom!!!!! No way was I sleeping there, woke dh up to move crib etc and decamped. ds2 took ages to drop off after all that, then ds1 woke at 6.20. So I got dh to drop ds1 off at the CM he goes to when I'm at work, and I went to bed with ds2. Slept until 11.45!!!

Have since seen one of the cats with a mouse, hope it's the same one, but there's no way I'm sleeping there again until I'm sure it's gone! (though my mother said "why? what's it going to do?"!!! Er, run over my sleeping baby's head...chew my slippers...crap in my pants...that kind of thing!)

2Happy · 17/05/2007 14:57

Oh pmsl at calling her "concorde" btw!! Loved her skirt comment, though! ha ha! Cannot believe she is only 31..... really???

Shimmer · 17/05/2007 15:39

God its only 3:30. Today is really dragging. Might have to do some baking to pass the time If Freddie will let me. He's very demanding at the moment and wants playing with constantly when he's awake, which TBH I get quite bored with after about 10 minutes. Mum says i need to have another one so they can entertain each other

Yep Katie's 31! Can you imagine what she'll actually look like when she's 40. Yikes!!

I haven't done anything with Freddie's CTF yet either Can anyone tell me where to put it to save me doing the research? That sort of thing bores me stupid.

PCF PMSL at the "bidmobile"... not that you'll be needing one anytime soon!

2Happy · 17/05/2007 15:46

My grandfather (91) has a scooter thingie and tbh he's a total menace.

We were all secretly relieved when he had to stop driving at 80 (because of a stroke)... this is the man who was able to turn the wrong way onto the A1 so that he was driving into oncoming traffic...while towing a caravan!!

Now he is driving again since my idiot uncle bought him a scooter last year. He's already driven it into the chairs outside the pub in the village...

Lizzzombie · 17/05/2007 15:56

Just been to get LO weighed in at the clinic. Bang on 15lbs at 17.5 weeks. Thats over a stone. No wonder I am so knackered from lugging him around.
We have now had 2 fire alarms today I AM NOT HAPPY!
(but at least I am getting toned up arms!)

MrsCarrot · 17/05/2007 17:17

I am attempting to make wheat and dairy free carrotcake. It is not looking promising.

Wilkie · 17/05/2007 17:25

Lizz - no J doesn't sit properly, he can balance for about 10 seconds-ish then topple either forward or sidewards.

Trixy - how scary!!!!!!!!!!! What a nightmare. I thought we had a burglar last night but when DH went to investigate it was the cat scratching the front door to be let in . DH was not impressed!!

RGee/Shimmer/2Happy - Apprentice was OK. I really like Christina and want her to win. Katie is a first class bitch and really pathetic (can't believe she is only 31 - and what's with the red face???). I hope Alan Sugar picks up on it!!

UD - spooky, I dreamt DH and I found Madeleine in a run down house and we snatched her and took her back to her parents. It is so so sad, really plays on my mind

Shimmer (I think) - personally, we just chose a HSBC CTF and stuck the £250 in it. We are not adding to it as it automatically goes to J when he hits 18 (and I don't want him having a huge cheque that we have no control over at 18). We are investing the government money but have set up our own ISA in our name that we can control when and where J will get the finances.

Had a good night last night, he went down at 6pm, dreamfeed at 10.30pm then asleep till 5.15am, back down until 7.45am! Yey!!!

Anyway, best go as LO is in the baby door bouncer and is shouting for me .

P.S. Sold my wedding dress (yey) and got £60 for my old mobile on eBay so am a very happy Wilkie today

RGee · 17/05/2007 17:32

Lizz - bulging biceps over here too. At least it means you can eat more cake as you now have extra muscle to burn off those calories
Pmsl at Ronaldinioinio. i may start calling DJ Lizzinio now!

2Happy - pmsl at your grandfather driving wrong way on the A1. Although shouldn't really - am amazed he got away with that safely - it's an awful road. DH did that just after he passed his test on the A64. Best man told that story at our wedding and it was the first his parents heard about it (obviously) - he was aged 17 and driving their car. They saw the funny side!
Glad someone else has mice problems Thought things had been quiet on the mousing front here until DH mentioned this morning that he's disposed of one dead mouse and evicted a cat with a mouse in its mouth in the past two days. So you don't think they're quite cute then

Shimmer - did you find something to do this afternoon? DH is out playing golf which means he gets back after lo's bed time. I find it such a long day. I went for a very long walk earlier to help the day pass and it hooned it down. Booked a hair appt though to tame my bird's nest - must remember to do before and after photos.
Re CTF, what's your attitude to risk? Are you a big, little or not at all gambler?

Canmummy / Carrot - to bad nights. Hope it's better tonight.

Lizzzombie · 17/05/2007 17:33

yo!
I'm baking fairy cakes for saturday's picnic. I'm gonna make boob ones!
Wilkie - what type of phone did you sell? I have an old one I want to get rid of too. I've got 5 things for sale at the moment all finishing on ebay tomorrow, and 3 of them have over 10 people watching...bring it on!
Moral dilemma would be - I was bridesmaid last year, and am selling the dress and shoes which I got to keep as I have no use for them. Do I give the money to the bride or keep it? Opinions please! x

RGee · 17/05/2007 17:33

Wilkie - Xpost. You're not quiet. All is ok
