Good evening ladies! Had a lovely a/n with DH & Phoebe - went out to a pub and ate naughty puddings and chatted - really nice, doesn't happen often enough imho!! Went to look at cars as well - our exhaust is on it's way out and our car is such a hunk of junk - There's bearly enough room for the girls in the back .... WE NEEEEEED A NEW VEHICLE!!!!! Sadly, we can't really afford one, but hey - we can dream ....

mammyjo - YES - Tis I who sells the lovely sheepskins in my shop! They are GREAT for lying baby on - keeps them cool in the summer and warm in the winter - Lovely snuggly and soft - our ones machine wash and can be tumble dried too, which is a bonus! Our ones cost about £45 (ish - can you remember exactly Katy?? Head is scrambled!!) Happy to get you one if you you decide you would like to get one! Going back to work the week after next!! (I'll be taking P with me!! )

P is already in a bedtime routine, which is nice - She bathes with my other two, then they all get thier PJ's on and I BF P while reading stories to the other two, then we say goodnight to DD's 1 & 2 and I take P into our room and settle her (winding, swaddling etc) ATM she sleeps between about 7pm and anywhere between 9pm - 11pm.

Bugmum - think I'd go for option b personally.

Elkie - just so you know, when I registered Erin we got a basic birth certificate free but there's a long version available for a charge of £3.50. It's the long one you need if you're applying for a passport (the registrar told us or we wouldn't have known).

SOKL - Erin does the knee pulling up thing too. mw said it was a sign she had wind. She usually settles after being burped but we did have a period where it would affect her at maybe one or two feeds each day. We found giving a bit of infacol just before these feeds helped her get more wind up and seemed to ease it. FWIW she no longer needs the infacol very often.

Hi everyone not had a chance to catch up and TBH doesn't look like i will tonight cos baby grumbling, but just wanted to second the DOROTHY PERKINS t-shirts thing. They are great for covering up lumps and bumps cos nice and long, loads to choose from and pretty cheap, can't do much wrong?

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 20:16

BOO!!!!!!!!!!

you are all so sweet, can't believe you missed me, didn't really think you'd notice i wasn't here

Katy44 · 08/05/2007 20:42

Notice? We nearly called the police! Did you see there was a gap of about 3 hours where no one posted?

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 20:56

nutty

  1. i either ask staff to take it or put the ds' at a table i can see while i carry tray

  2. if i absolutely cannot take pushchair in then i fold it up and take it in like that, then never go there again!

  3. Joe does this to me regularly, i take him out of pushchair and carry him (requires the ability to push one-handed ), it seems to calm him down and also stops the looks as people can see you're not just ignoring baby. i have to agree on the selective hearing developing after a while

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 20:58

was the 3 hour gap a protest at me not being here

or are you just being rude about the amount of time i usually spend on here

octo · 08/05/2007 21:00

quick post - dh cooking

Hello Ellie - cleaning??? are you mad?

Bugmum - would stop taking everything - have glass of wine or two - go back to doctors in morning!

Ernie does the leg pulling up thing when he has wind and the screaming thing is def different to normal crying/screaming!

Runny - I remember the friend thing - glad it is all sorted - my weird friend has seen me twice with ernie and has failed to say congrats or anything at all - remember why dumped her as friend now!

Must go - foooooooodddddddd time

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 21:03

i know, cleaning is BAD
unfortunately we had no clean clothes and no visible carpet

nutty, just remembered, people in the q will often offer help, i had a very kind elderly gentleman carry the tray for me in a cafe last week, probably prompted by his wife tho

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 21:07

should this be my claim to fame Octo, I have NOT had a wee infection

have had an irritation tho, not quite thrush but on the way there, often get it if i use cheap loo roll, or have to wear pads for a while, so maternity pads caused mayhem

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 21:21

OCTO

why didn't you say you're not getting my emails????????????????????????????????????

i'll send yours from my hotmail account again xx

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 21:24

elkie if you've got a Matalan anywhere near you they've got t-shirts £4 each with buttons down the front far enough for feeding i've got one of each colour

Sexonknackeredlegs · 08/05/2007 21:32

Hiya loves

Hope you are all well.

I was feeling really smug. Both dd's were in th bath at 6.30 and whilst dh read stories to B, I was in with K giving her a bottle. By 7.45 I was downstairs. Result!

Until 8.15 when I was back up the stairs and back down with K!

Dh is having to give her another bottle, even tho she took a 5oz bottle of Aptamil Extra at 7.00!

She seems to be starving at this time of day.

Hopefully she will drop off soon and will go through until 2.00 ish like last night. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the comments re pulling up legs etc. I have a feeling it only started today which co-incided with giving her the Aptamil Extra. Dh has just given her a bottle of regular Aptamil, and she seems fine. It could of course just be co-incidence. I did give her infacol at 7.00 and it had no effect, but I did read that it needs to be used regularly to take effect.

The joys eh!

Octo, how was your dinner cooked by your dh?

CD, cannot believe you are going back to work so soon.

I have managed to avoid a wee infection as well, although like Ellie, wearing sanitary towels is a nightmare and I thought I was coming down with thrush the other day.

Hope everyone is ok and hope you have good nights' with your ittle bundles of joy. xx

Eddas · 08/05/2007 21:36

Evening everyone, weight loss newsflash I lost 4lbs this week So i rewarded myself with some chocolate Off to an exercise class tomorrow night for the first time in forever so i expect to be very achy on thursday maybe friday, sometimes it takes a day for the aches to kick in,LOL!

Got a letter from work today saying i'd got a bonus, woo hooo, so i can now afford my holiday

Been trying to decide what to get dd for her birthday which is only 4 weeks away, she'll be 3 and has enough toys so we're thinking of getting her a trampoline for the garden like this or maybe a bike. Or both if we can find a cheap second hand bike

She definately wants a princess cake. Been told a million times,LOL and a princess party, good job a love pink!

Car's got the dreaded MOT tomorrow, was due last thursday, but forgot oops, so haven't driven it since friday. Yes I know but it was only to preschool and back so was not too bad

Off to bed now as dh and me stayed up late last night and we're both tired today(alchohol makes you think you're not sleepy anymore) so night night everyone hope the lo's behave for us all

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 21:46

finally caught up on all i'd missed and you are all so sweet

i was a little bit hurt by the email i think, where i'd normally be on here all the time, stuff housework, i did think 'fuck it' i have to admit

but i'm back now, and i think my numerous posts tonight have more than made up for my absence

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 21:54

Dippy, Octo and Zazas especially, plus all you other mad women with 3 or more, you are so naughty!

Birdiemum · 08/05/2007 22:19

Oops! Maybe it's ok because only 2 of our sprogs are DH's?? Although let's face it we are big-time eco criminals anyway - 2 cars, 2 tv's and a tumble dryer... and disposables.

God! I feel so much better for having gotten that out in the open....

Off to catch up on thread.

nuttygirl · 08/05/2007 22:22

Pesha · 08/05/2007 23:02

hi all, typing left handed so excuse any mistakes. have skimmed through, not enough to comment just enough to see everyones still here!
Ds2 is still being qujite hard work, will not sleep on his own only on my lap or in car/pushchair or in my armpit when i fall asleep feeding him in bed! Feeds loads, alot of it cmfort feeding but hes dropped from birth weight of 8lb13.5 to 8lb4 last wed and 8lb6 today so think he needs it. im not really worried as dd and ds1 both dropped alot and took 3weeks to get back to birth weight but i do feel like i have to feed him as much as poss which is exhausting.
And ds1 has chicken pox!! so fantastic timing on his part! and dp is back on nights so its 2 little crying boys to just one me!

really should go now as ds2 has been asleep nearly hour and half i think on my lap and he only has 1 long sleep(bylong i mean 2-3hours) a night and this is prob it so i should be sleeping too.

EllieKthePA · 08/05/2007 23:03

oh Pesha
