Clearly I'm feeling nostalgic! Just think, some of them even had heart beats this time last year!!

rofl lth - we do have grass (covered in plastic crap aka garden toys in hideous colours)

after all that debating decided that we'll take the new stroller I bought in Jan that fully reclines for hattie and borrow my mums reclining stroller for ellie (bah humbug no new pushchar for me so I'll now and choose some patio furniture that I want)

ellieandhattie · 19/04/2007 21:04

which reminds me must take some pics and sell some of these bloody pushchairs as well as the mamas and papas changing station I insisted on having when Ellie was born and hardly used and the ten tonnes of other stuff I bought and used once

Galmum · 19/04/2007 21:04

LTH - get the feeling ypu have strong opinions on this then! don't like Phil & Teds??? what's your sensible buggy recommendation then??

ellieandhattie · 19/04/2007 21:04

and I'll stop talking to myself on here

LadyTophamHatt · 19/04/2007 21:07

I dunno Galmum.... I just hate the fact that the one riding at the bottom is so close to teh ground and has bugger all to look at really.

Just thre right level to inhale the exhuast fumes too.

Pah...there's just no pleasing me is there??

RGee · 19/04/2007 21:07

Keep meaning to ask if anyone has got a passport for their lo? How do you go about getting the passport photo? And like she'll look the same aged 5!

ellieandhattie · 19/04/2007 21:10

passport photos - some shops like snappy snaps do them with digital cameras and make sure you have the correct amount of face/hair etc or this website but you need to read the guidelines for acceptable photos

RGee · 19/04/2007 21:14

Cheers EAH. Not fussy are they

RGee · 19/04/2007 21:16

Right. Time for bed now. Got a loooong weekend ahead with DH being away from tomorrow. So will be here all day and night Saturday if anyone cares to join me! Hope you all have a good night.

Galmum · 19/04/2007 21:18

EAH - you're not talking to yourself!! We're listening...I just forget to reply!

Dragonhart · 19/04/2007 21:20

Laughalot- I do pretty much what Wilkie does except without the dummy and it took a good couple of weeks of doing exactly the same every night to get her used to it all. Now I feed her downstairs til she starts to just suck, wind her, take her upstairs and swaddel her, hold her til she gets heavy on my shoulder and her eyes are getting heavy then lay her down (awake but very sleepy), give her a kiss and say good night. Works most night now, but those couple of weeks were hell and often ended in me crying and getting cross with Ruth (which I know is not fair) but it was all worth it.

Ruth has a feed at 7am then carries on sleeping in her crib til 10 which means I get time with Luke and to do afew jobs, then just naps in her bouncy chair or her carrycot for the rest of the day til bed time at 7.

You just have to find what works for you though. If it is not working for you now, try something else and see if that helps.xxx

Jodie- LOL. I am sure hugabubs are great but will my 2 1/2 stone Luke really feel light as a feather in it!

Galmum- I have just started putting Ruth him ours and she is nearly 15 weeks.

EAH- So worrying when they get temps isnt it. Was worried about Luke and he is much older than Hattie. These doc/nurses are about as sypathetic as the midwifes when it comes to problems. Hope she is better toniht. BTW Have you pushed a zap? Not sure how tall you are but they have very low handles. I am tall but when I tried to push one I was nearly bent double!

Luke seems a bit better today. Not sure what it was as nothing seems to have come of it. He was still tired today but just took him til 9 to get to sleep which is really unlike him. Poor Boy.

BTW I think my tandem is the best ever! Bebe Confort Twin Club

Dragonhart · 19/04/2007 21:25

Here is another pic of my lurvely push chair! DH says I am obsessed but I say pah!

ellieandhattie · 19/04/2007 21:29

fab pushchair dragon shame I am not having another baby

JodieG1 · 20/04/2007 07:34

DH - Well Ethan is already over 16 pounds and it's easier than carrying him around in my arms all day It really doesn't feel like much weight at all.

Wilkie - no offense taken, we do do things totally differently

Galmum - must have been awful for you Hope he's ok now.

EAH - lol, should give one a try, think there are sites where you can hire them

Well I had a great night out last night, had a few beers and then we walked home. It's great that we live next door to each other. It was so nice to get out in the evening without the kids. Ethan slept almost the whole time I was out and didn't drink any milk! I think he must have known I wasn't there to feed him, so the milk in the fridge is still there. Think dh fed him once in the night and then I fed him this morning. I was drinking lowish alcohol lager so was fine by then.

Feeling tired now though as I'm usually in bed by 10 and didn't get in bed until arond midnight last night. Hope everyone's well and had a good night.

LadyTophamHatt · 20/04/2007 08:04

George slpet from about 8 until 4:20am last night with a 10pm dreamfeed.
DH 's alarm went off at 4am so I laid there wondering when he#d wake up...bloody typical!
Ok it was on;y 20 minutes but......

His first 2 bottles of aptimal have been drained totally and his poos are now just very soft as opposed too runny and watery. he didn't do one in the night either which is really unusual.

Hes's been half strength milk for few days (6oz ofwater with just 3 scoops), but with the aptimal it's 2/3 strength (6oz water/4scoops) so fingers crossed he's getting better.
Just in time for the next lot of jabs to start it again. I'll ahve to talk to th nurse to see what we do because he won't have it if it causes 2 week of diae...diaor....dio....the squits again.

better go, still in my PJ's, ds3 still in bed and we need to be in the car for school in 25 minutes!!

JodieG1 · 20/04/2007 08:05

Galmum - please ignore my last post, I've just been told your situation and I hope I haven't upset you. So sorry I didn't know what had happened.

Lizzzombie · 20/04/2007 08:31

ok, seriously now. How much puke is normal after a feed. When does a posset become reflux or colic? Dylan puke after every feed and its not just a small bit. Should I be concerned?

JodieG1 · 20/04/2007 08:39

Ethan is the same Liz but I haven't worried about it so far as he's putting weight on well and is bright eyed etc. I have been wondering about reflux myself over the past few days as I go through about 10 big muslins a day wiping up his sick. Off to google now.

laughalot · 20/04/2007 08:39

Morning one and all well a bit of a freaky night last night me and dh went out for a meal and mil came over to babysit ds was in bed dd was awake ready for her 8 oclock feed..... Came home walked in the house and noticed in the kitchen laurens bottle still virtually full she had took 1oz for some bizaree reason but had gone to bed ok. Walked into the living room and there was ds sat there apparently he had woken up screaming was probably dreaming mil went in and because it wasnt me he got all upset and hence why he was downstairs so put him back to bed straight away he was fine, got in bed and thought loz will be up soon for a feed............. 1.30 the little minx woke up had a feed straight back down until 6am I cant beleive the little madam.

laughalot · 20/04/2007 08:40

ellieandhattie · 20/04/2007 08:52

Lizzzombie · 20/04/2007 09:00

Thanks for putting my mind at rest Jodie. We also get through lots of muslins in our house. But, DJ is putting on weight and always is smiling 2 seconds after puking, so I guess if he was unhappy he would let me know. x

laughalot · 20/04/2007 09:04

Right eah re sent it.

Regarding poo lauren always has had a runnyish nappy never really solid do you think this is a problem ?

Lizzzombie · 20/04/2007 09:40

I thought all babies had runny poo till they went on solids?

JodieG1 · 20/04/2007 09:42

Agree with Liz, they will be soft/runny for a while yet. Ethan's are very runny but he's fine and it's normal

Just been reading this again brings back memories
