Ah bless him coupester I'm glad he was good . We also had to do a feed at 10.30 (7oz) and 4 oz at 4.30 . It's not too bad but she should really be able to go through now
Saying that , she gets tired so early I don't get much feed down her at bed time .
Can't quite grasp why I found it so much easier 10 years ago lol.

Carolann8584 · 11/09/2017 08:42

DD had 5oz at 10:30 then 5oz at 4:20.

No surprise she didn't want her 7:30 feed.

I use to do her DF at 11:30 but 2anted an early night so did it at hour early I'll take it back to 11:30.

She's napping now so I'll give her her porridge when she wakes

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/09/2017 10:11

@coup sorry ds didn't sleep when out but lesst he was quiet ....

I'm not surprised he woke early. Sleeps breeds sleep and babies often don't sleep more if go to bed late. As you found. And yes always wake up at same time to start day routine again or all bottler naps are different then usual

Just back from clinic 19.9

Dd is slowing down. Hasn't even gained a lb in a month. Usually gains 2 - 1/2lb a week

Not sure how as is on 3 meals a day and drinks usual milk tho sometimes doesn't want her 1030/11 am milk

Might mean we can actually stay in 6/9mth clothes for a while 😂

coupester · 11/09/2017 10:41

Yes, I was very grateful he was quiet. He has at least had a nap this morning, probably about 1.5hrs so did I.

How does everyone feel about presents from their babies? It's my bday tomorrow and it doesn't sound like hubby has got me anything from DS, and I'm a bit disappointed! Am I just being silly?

purpleviolet1 · 11/09/2017 11:16

Couple of questions please I've not caught up yet and will probably post properly shortly

For those weaning can you tell me what time you give milk and solids and how much milk you offer?

Also do you use a mini chopper to purée?

I don't think the children got me anything this year now you say that . Got a Mummy card but usually get a gift too . Not too bothered but we are trying to reduce our spending so maybe that's why I'm not as bothered as I would be .
If it's your first child and first birthday being a mummy that's different but he probably didn't think . Could you get someone to text him and remind him like your mum / family member ? Flowers

MotherofA · 11/09/2017 11:22

I do a bottle around 4-5 am (4oz)

7-8 am porridge (small bowl few oz maybe 5) I make up a 7oz bottle for that

8.30 she finishes what was in that bottle (around 4oz)

12 pm lunch whatever is on Ella's menu haha or frozen cubes

2pm 7oz (prob drinks 5)

5 pm dinner (what we have to a degree but at first it was just veg )

6-7 depending how long I can keep her up wash / bath bottle bed ( I make 7 she often has only 4 as still full )

10-11 she wakes for full 7oz feed

MotherofA · 11/09/2017 11:23

I use tommy tippee blender as I don't do big batches . Hope this helps Smile

coupester · 11/09/2017 11:39

It is my first birthday as a mummy. It's ok, I just told him! I asked him if he'd got me anything from DS and he said no, so I said I was a bit disappointed!

MotherofA · 11/09/2017 12:10

Good for you !

purpleviolet1 · 11/09/2017 12:31

Catching up properly now.

Thanks mother that's really helpful. I guess I'm struggling with how to structure the feeds whilst going through the transition period of establishing solids.

Also do you offer equal amounts of solids throughout the 3 meals or give until LO has had enough?

@coupester hmmm I think I would be a bit peeved for not getting anything so I can relate to that. Glad you told him you were a bit disappointed!

So last night we didn't get home until 9.30pm. Ds did nod off at 7.20 (after missing 4pm nap) but woke after about 15 min. So he was awake from 7.35-9.20ish. Thankfully he nodded off as soon as we got in the car and only briefly woke up for nappy change and transfer to cot. He then woke at 3ish for a feed but settled quickly. Then woke at 6am but just played and nodded back off until 7am.

That's good going purple . I just make a little bowl full and feed until she has had enough so say make roughly the same amount as what's in a packet of Ella's ? I just visualise it don't actually measure . She will eat most or all of it .

Haha love it Hugh Grin

Carolann8584 · 11/09/2017 13:25

We've loved weaning this week. Only started Saturday and only tried 2 things so far but she's loved both if them

We've gone back to ye old times with no electricity! Really bad wind up here Angry boiler water in pans for steriliser and a brew while DD naps. She's all cozy in sleeping bag and blanket. Never understood why a gas boiler needs electricity to work! 😠

Carolann8584 · 11/09/2017 13:25

*Boiled water

purpleviolet1 · 11/09/2017 13:27

Oh no carol! Where about are you?

That's helpful mother, thanks!

Can't even use a monitor to watch/check on DD as they work using Wi-Fi which needs electricity. Hmm might just take my brew and a book and go sit upstairs

We have water issues quite regularly so have a cupboard of water just in case.

Might have to leave DD in her sleeping bag when she wakes up its getting a bit cold

coupester · 11/09/2017 15:05

Hope it gets sorted soon @Carolann8584 ! I actually had to turn the heating on for an hour or two this morning to take the chill off!

He doesn't even get me good presents from him - I had to buy myself something the other day! He's not bothered about birthdays so it doesn't occur to him that I'm bothered even though we have a conversation about it every year. And I always try to do something thoughtful for him.

Ok, now I'm sounding like a brat. I'll get over it Smile

Carolann8584 · 11/09/2017 15:24

We have power back Grin

MotherofA · 11/09/2017 18:29

Glad it's sorted Carol .

You don't sound like a brat coupester, I would feel exactly the same .

I had DD weighed today . She's only 18 on the centile at 14.6 lbs bless her . My other DD was exactly the same always light as a baby despite eating lots .

troodiedoo · 11/09/2017 18:41

Glad it's sorted carol. I like the excitement of a power cut (probably because I can't do any work) but I imagine the novelty would wear off with a baby!

It's a bit breezy here on the south coast.
