Will this do?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LowFatMilkshake · 26/03/2007 22:13

I have added pictures to my profle, but ca't see them. whats going on? Also is there an easy way of adding you lot in one go to the private list or do I have to add you one at a time?

By the way - have'nt seen Eli for a while, but for her and others suffering with a baby with reflux. Since DS has established himself on 2 meals a day he has not bougt one single drop of milk up! I kid you not. Now I haev hundresds of muslins and nothing to do with them

Got him weighed on Friday he was 16lb4oz and is 15 weeks tomorrow. He still looks like string bean to me. And there was a little girl there who was exactly 2 months older than hm and she weighed 16lb7oz and was really cute and chunky! Is it just my critical eye as a mother am I going to fatten him up because I think he looks thin - am not Jewish honestly!

Oh and Margo, have put the cat among the pidgeons on a perfume thread - trying to live up to you ideas of me being contraversial!

glassslipper · 26/03/2007 22:18

i weighed my DD at the weekend and she was 11lb

glassslipper · 26/03/2007 22:19

milkshake - there is somewhere where you have to click to make your pictures public.

Olihan · 26/03/2007 22:26

Margo, been updating my profile but can't work out how to make it only visible to us, not the whole world. Do I need to wait until I add pictures? Don't mind the writing being there but feel oddly freaked out about photos being accessible to all and sundry, not sure why!

We did the same once we'd had an offer - I just couldn't gazzump (sp?) someone.

Well, we're on the number 11 green line here at the moment, snot everywhere from ds1 and dd, plus dh has man flu. So far ds2 and I have a bit of a cough but no snot. All good fun, eh!

Ds2's sleeping has gone a bit peculiar since we got back from hol. He seems to prefer his cot to co sleeping and is really unsettled in with me, very strange. He woke at 4am yesterday and had a real stress until I put him back in his cot. Has anyone else found that or do I just have an odd bod?

LowFatMilkshake · 26/03/2007 22:27

I have looked everywhere for somewhere to click I uploaded 5 pictures earlier today and hve no idea where they are

Olihan · 26/03/2007 22:31

Xposts about the profiles. Haven't had time to resize any photos yet, will try tomorrow night.

Glassy, do the nappies make the inside of your dd's thighs really red? Ds2 has what looks like nappy rash all over the inside of his thighs but it isn't clearing up with metanium or sudocrem. It started on holiday and I put it down to change of nappies/wipes but it's just not budging. I did wonder if the nappies were aggravating it.

glassslipper · 26/03/2007 22:31

milkshake - on your public profile there should be an option 'share photos' click it. then you should see your pictures. if none are there then they havent uploaded. if they are there then next to each picture there is a field which says 'visibilty' and you have to set an option as to who can see them.

glassslipper · 26/03/2007 22:32

yes olihan. thhere is a line around the top of her thighs. all red and the skin is dry and looks sore.

Elibean · 26/03/2007 22:43

Slowly surfacing from weekend at dh's neice's wedding very nice, and very exhausting being there with the only smallies invited. dd1 was in her element, and got to dance with just about everyone, but dd2 hated it and punished us by waking up every hour all night long. SO nice to be home

Margo, your girls are very lovely - am going to try and upload some photos, inspired by you, as soon as I have time.

LFM, glad to hear reflux improved - am planning on trying a wee bit of baby rice after Easter (she was four months on Saturday, and is tracking my every mouthful when I eat in front of her...) and seeing how it goes.

Sacha, how horrid! And how odd?!

dd2 had her last jabs today, and was pretty chilled this time (after screaming like a banshee last time, rare event for Miss Floppy Larynx). I suspect dh overdosed her on Calpol beforehand

Today dd1 ate (have to have a go at this): porridge, milk, diluted apple juice, banana, dried cranberries, pasta with cheese/ham, salad, yoghurt, apple, wholemeal mustard sandwich (strange tastes, has dd1), plate of raw veggies, shepherds pie, peas and broccoli, a small chocolate rabbit, milk.

In her words, a lickle PiggyWiggy.

Olihan · 26/03/2007 22:49

Yup, sounds the same Glassy. Off to Tesco in the morning then for a different brand.

Eli - MUSTARD sandwiches? ds1 once nicked the spoon out of fil's mustard pot at a sunday lunch. He wandered into their living room covered in this odd yellow stuff, none of us could think what it was until dh licked him and all became clear. A bit later ds1 whispered to me 'mummy, I don't like papa's yellow stuff, I wiped my tongue on my t'shirt.' Bless.

Sacha - they stole a mattress and a pack of nappies? Really? What was it, a pregnant burglar? Very bizarre. Your insurance company are going to think it's a wind up!

Calmriver · 26/03/2007 22:57

Spoke to WB today and she isnt feeling great and my little one is a bit off at the mo too, so I think as far as we go, Richmond is off for tomorrow.

Should we try to plan something for after the easter break??

I need to go and express now...feeling knackered as Im still up studying and I need my bed!

accessorizewithbabysick · 26/03/2007 23:02

I found tesco size 3's awful too, they just leaked every time. Weird isn't it, they're good nappies usually. Back to pampers for the nighttime nappy.
Lowfat, I just bought 6 new muslins, don't tell me that!! Was lurking the baby food aisle this morning at boots as they had 3 for 2 on Hipp organic thinking shall i buy a few jars although I was intending to do most of it myself as last time. They did have some odd things for 4 month old babies, I must say.

glassslipper · 27/03/2007 08:42

i used pampers size 3 last night and no marks this morning so it was definitely the tescos soize 3s. i tried asda recently but they leaked. A few weeks ago i said to DH - we must have been mad to have been paying for pampers for 2 years when we could have been saving all this money . Now i remember why we switched DD1 over At least she is potty trained (day time anyway).

Gloria42 · 27/03/2007 10:26

I'd been using Tesco 3s with no probs at all. Read your posts before bed last night and what did I wake up to? You've guessed it - a leaky nappy !

I am currently major lurker in this thread, love reading all your food lists!

Is it possible for milk supply to be interrupted overnight? One boob felt really empty yesterday and DS was unsettled on that side all day, pulling at nipple after only a few minutes. DS is now 12weeks, could it just be a growth spurt??

margo1974 · 27/03/2007 10:30

Hope this helps anyone else who wants to uplaod their photos

Elibean · 27/03/2007 10:51

Wow, thanks Margo more than helps: makes possible, in my case at least.

Gloria, 12 weeks is notorious for spurts! dd had a major one at around that time, it lasted for about 48 hours (but felt like 480).

Elibean · 27/03/2007 10:52

Oli, yes, mustard - but not the yellow sort, thankfully, the grainy French stuff! Also lemon slices (including peel) and olives. And chocolate, whenever she gets the chance, so not entirely weird for a 3 yr old...

SachaF · 27/03/2007 11:37

Thanks Margo, definately helps!

castlesintheair · 27/03/2007 11:47

Eli, I see you are a family of fellow foodies DS also likes mustard but the really hot french stuff preferably with ham in a crusty roll. I also caught him sucking on a lemon once. DD1's favourite is boursin cheese, preferably on it's own

castlesintheair · 27/03/2007 11:49

Oooh thanks for the techie tips Margo. I will try and get some photos on here one of these days ...

Elibean · 27/03/2007 13:40

Yahoo, done it, single handed whilst expressing. Thanks Margo

And Castles, yes, rumbled: foodies - proof of dd1's membership in foody family now in photo gallery, too

Though am not a great cook - leave that to dh, I'm better at eating

Indith · 27/03/2007 14:07

yay more cute photos!

God I really must do essay. Dp has taken Ds out so that I can work, he's been gone about an hour and I've done none. Of course he'll be back within the next hour for his lordship to feed again!

I am a terrible procrastinator. In fact if any of you see me on here at all again today you have my full permission to slap my wrists and send me on my way. Unless I'm feeding at the time in which case I retain full MN privillages.

jabberwocky · 27/03/2007 15:11

We've been having internet problems so I could only get on today at work (maybe incentive to work full-time ).

Nice to see you back lubella/LaBoheme. I have thought about you and hoped to see you on here again.

Ds2 doing well but we are struggling with the co-sleeping like you, Olihan. I never intended to do it, but it just sort of happened. Now he will fall asleep in his co-sleeper crib but after middle of the night feed refuses to go back in. Not sure what to do at this point, so will probably just let it go for a while

I've been eating B12 like candy lately and feel somewhat better. Still thinking I need to get my thyroid checked and maybe get meds adjusted, but how to find the time?!!

magnolia1 · 27/03/2007 15:56

Sorry ladies Ive been a stranger. Internet problems and sick kiddies too

Ds1 got through a major growth spurt and at 16 weeks is now kind of over it but I have had no sleep in 2 nights He just likes to suck all night. Tried a dummy again but no luck.

I am up for an easter meet but can't get to richmond, I am in Ewell and don't drive so can only rely on buses to Kingston.

Anyone elses l/o trying to sit up? Ds1 is forever trying to pull his head up. It's quite comical to watch

I tried co sleeping the other night but ended up in a ridiculous position and not sleeping at all so will stick to the sofa on bad nights.
