Will this do?

Just a quick one - I'm meant to be ironing ...

Finally got a couple of snaps on. Thanks for the tips!

DD2 laughed out loud for the first time yesterday. A real belly laugh. Frightened the life out of herself There were arms and legs flailing everywhere. Tee hee.

babypowder · 27/03/2007 16:21

Jabber, I'm trying to move DD2 into a cot as well. She does the first shift fabulously well, but then its up and down until I relent at about 4am and bring her into bed. I don't know what the answer is - both she and I sleep so well in the same bed.
(Mind you, some mornings I wake up and the there are 4 of us in the bed. I have no idea when DD1 comes through!)

glassslipper · 27/03/2007 16:50

eli - your kids are very cute

babypower - i cant see your pics

magnolia - you just made me realise what dd is up to. every time i put her into the care seat she lifts her head forward and then gets really cross. perhaps she is trying to heave herself up. only started this a few days ago...

babypowder · 27/03/2007 17:38

Glassy, trust me to screw it up, despite the perfect instructions I have no idea what I've done wrong - I've made them visible to all of you, but I can't see them in my public profile either.

I really need some remedial lessons I have no idea where I've gone wrong!

castlesintheair · 27/03/2007 17:47

Gorgeous piccies everyone

Hi Jabber & Magnolia! Magnolia, DD2 has been trying to do the same (sitting up) for a few weeks now. She also loves standing (as did DD1 at this age). I am rather hoping she's not going to be an early crawler/walker. I prefer it when they are sitting and static

AQ, how are you? Did you got to the doctor?

LowFatMilkshake · 27/03/2007 18:21

Margo - thanks for the lessons! have added pictures, and hopefully everyone to mates list!

babypowder · 27/03/2007 18:38

LFM, I can't see your piccies , but I found that I had to make mine visible to everyone.

(Either that or I'm not your mate )

jabberwocky · 27/03/2007 18:50

Sitting up?? Wow, ds2 acts like that a little bit, but still hasn't totally mastered the roll-over yet. He's getting really bored really quickly these days in his swing or on his playmat. I got a little play thing kind of like an exersaucer yesterday and he seemed to like it quite well.

You go, girl!

accessorizewithbabysick · 27/03/2007 20:26

What is an entertainer?? I lurve ebay bargains, I bought a beautiful vintage emerald velvet bag with maribou feathers for 3 pounds once. And if I ever leave the house again at night, I may wear it. Too tired by the time the back-to-back marathon feeds are over!
Castles, thanks for asking, strangely have had no dizzy spells since leaving drs yesterday! She reckons it's anaemia, I had bloods today plus an ecg just to be sure. Wouldn't listen to what I had to say about hormones & told me off for already taking spatone. Grrrr.

Indith · 27/03/2007 21:08

OMG there is a new due in December thread!

LowFatMilkshake · 27/03/2007 21:12

BP -I did add you as a mate, promise - I tried to see me too but could'nt, thought it would take time but obviously not!!
Will try agin and if not will make public and try not to berate MIL and SIL on any threads !

Wow magnolia - how did you manage that others are on e-bay for £22+, unless it;s pick-up only!

margo1974 · 27/03/2007 21:20

Beau-tif-ul!

lucy5 · 27/03/2007 21:20

A new December thread, omg! It must have been about now we were all testing!

Ds is trying to sit up, he also loves standing and jumping, i'm absolutely knackered. he is most deffo teething, which seems incredibly early, dd was walking before she had a tooth in her head.

All your children look absolutely gorgeous, I will get round to doing it one day soon.

margo1974 · 27/03/2007 21:21

I didn't test until June..

But I can remember feeling knackered in April

glassslipper · 27/03/2007 21:23

milkshake - gorgeous!

forgot to say earlier. Dd2 did her first ever roll over 2 days ago. Back to front. She's only half done it a couple of times since. I looked at DD1s book and it is a whole month ahead of her

Also.......i think we got a giggle tonight

She is nearer 4 months than 3 now. where is the time going????

2nd lot of jabs tomorrow (delay due to cold). hope it goes ok

glassslipper · 27/03/2007 21:24

i found out end of april. had been trying a while so new when to test.

margo1974 · 27/03/2007 21:33

I had 2 round of jabs today (I've had a full day, what with mums and tots, then baby clinic and then Sainsburys)

HV did them today and asked if I was b/f and suggested that I should feed dd to help ease her pain. That's the first time that has been suggested to me, I know of others who have done it. I thought that it was really supportive, not that dd appreciated it. Ear splitting screams up until we arrived home.

She has dropped a centile, but it doesn't worry me as I have virtually dropped the formula. She is 12 lb 8.5 oz - 1 lb and 7 oz heavier than dd1 at the same age.

LowFatMilkshake · 27/03/2007 21:35

I had to cancel jabs round 2 today because I did'nt think I would be appreciated by taking a spotty 3yr old with me to the clinic. Turns out nearly all the children at pre-school have had chicken pox during the last month. Poor DD misses the farm trip tomorrow though!

LowFatMilkshake · 27/03/2007 21:37

Oh and have just made all 4 picture public - and as if by magic there they are!!

glassslipper · 27/03/2007 21:52

i love pictures of kiddies in the snow

i always feed my dd straight after jabs if i can. it does help them.

my dd has dropped a centile too. she is now 11 lb

babypowder · 27/03/2007 22:29

What beautiful children we all have

I didn't test until May. It doesn't seem possible that there's already another group of women worrying whether their LOs will be born on Xmas day, and how are they ever going to be organised enough for Xmas, and what does that twinge mean, and ...

And how excited they must all be.

(No, BP is NOT getting broody and wishing she could do it all over again NOW. Oh no. )

LowFatMilkshake · 27/03/2007 22:37

I tested at 4 weeks! I knew in time for our wedidng anniversary last year! But those first 12 weeks are horrendous as someone who has experienced 3 M/C's

Oh crap - just realised it's 10.30pm and I should be feeding DS - better go!

babypowder · 27/03/2007 22:51

No, LFM, you're absolutely right. I have now removed and binned my rose-tinted specs.

Off to try to settle DD2 in her cot. DD1 is already in our bed having had another nightmare. Poor old DH - he just gets squashed. I reckon he could sleep on a telephone wire these days
