My DH didnt like them at all and when he has DS he uses disposables What are the Rainbow Tots like?

Report
PhoenixGirl · 07/03/2007 23:19

I like them. They're a bit bulkier but fab. But they're been discontinued in favour of bamboozles though.

Morning.

I really hope those abs are finally helping csws...

macca? are you ill still as well?

Flame - don't give up on the nappies. We will keep on recommending you - you have eagle eyes PG (or you are spending way too much time on MN at the moment). Have you takn out the mag ad?

3k - whatever happens with your dh, it is nice to hear you being a bit more positive about coping on your own.

Ds is sort of sleeping throughHe went 7.30 to 5 yesterday, and 7.30 to 4, milk and then 6am up today Shame I'm in such a bad mood/going totally loopy that I'm not really sleeping.

Did I mention he's been prescribed more abs for the nappy rash? I'm not giving them yet. It has been suggested that it may be thrush, in which case the abs ill make it worse. I'm doing hourly changes and the creams for a couple more days to see if we can get rid of it without the drugs first. I need to see the hv, but I've missed this weeks clinics so will have to go next week.

Morning,

Still feel rough, I tend to feel like absolute crap forst thing thenI'm not so bad by the afternoon. Won't get chance to run today (didn't go yesterday either) unless I go to mum's tonight and use her running machine which I need to motivate myself to do because haven't been since Monday. After having such a good week at the scales I really don't want to blow it this week, it's just so hard when you don't feel 100% though

3k - I really feel for you, can't imagine what you are going through. Stay strong and as hard as it may be try and keep on relatively good terms with your dh about seeing ds, I've seen first hand how shitty a situation gets when kids are involved and you really need to try and avoid that route. Well done on your independence though.

Well, I went for a lie down at 6.45 last night while dh put the boys to bed (), before doing my run.... and woke up at 10pm. ooops. No run. Must do one tonight. Chloe, you are much much better than me.

csws; chopping your head off is the only solution

Jelley - I do spend most evenings sat here refreshing mn every few minutes and i just noticed the nappy thread.

You do know you lot are starting to make running sound appealing

Chloe and CSWS - I hope you start feeling better soon.

Macca - If you're lurking, you too

3K - From the way your DH is being you'll be making the decision for him at this rate. He sounds like he's being an arse! Glad you got the liners ok - there are a few missing because it was an open box sat on the floor = fair game to Emrys I walked him to find him balancing them on his feet and head.

Jas - Not giving up on the whole nappy thing, just on competing with MAC... I am losing sight of the whole in it for advice thing and frantically grasping at customers, which really isn't the way to go about it. Trying to go back to relaxed me (I assure you she did used to exist!!). Ad is nearly finished - hoping to go and play on my friend's sheepskin rug, get some playing with feet shots. If that doesn't work then he'll just have to stay cut out!

Thank you all so much for letting me ramble about all this and ask your advice... the rest of you don't go into this much detail about every day life (apart from MRM and her cultured child ).

And whilst I'm thanking - more decisions needed.. .I am considering switching to being a paperless shop - I would attach the invoice and a much nicer care sheet with an email when it has been dispatched. I seems much more eco-friendly and in keeping with nappies. Would you mind if a shop was like that? I could say if they want a paper copy that I could post one as well - thinking most people would say no so it wouldn't run to a fortune in extra postage?

Just had a call from the local paper about nappies - I wrote to them yesterday complaining about the council's lack of incentives. She is going back to her editor, and depending on the size of the piece they want to do, they might be calling back to take photos!

The question is... what wrap?!?! It would have to be one I sell, and I know wool can put people off... a rainbow fleece tots? Polka dots? I'd aim at him just in the tie dye wbb, but it might not be possible (after all this they won't want photos, but you know if I don't think about it then they will!

Googly Eye Update: DS1 got a birthday card with a monkey on the front. The monkey had large Googly eyes. I found BabyDragon licking the bloody things on the card!

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 20:11

pmsl!! Feed the child lychees

Report
SoupDragon · 08/03/2007 20:21

WTF is it with googly eyes?? I saw her licking the card and thought it odd but couldn't believe it when I took it from her and saw what she was licking.

Do lychees have stones in?

Report
Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 20:25

I'm not sure... I always remember watching my gran sucking them so I have avoided them ever since!!

If it makes you feel any better DS attempts to suck any pen/pencil/crayon he sees...

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 08/03/2007 20:28

Yes, lychees have stones (unless you buy them in a tin ready stoned! ).

Great stuff flame - def go for rainbow over polka dots imo.

3k - poo patrol, sounds fun .

Well dd nearly missed her jab this afternoon. She went to bed at 1, woke screaming at 1:45, and took ages to get her back off, the only way I could succeed being to take her into my room and bf her back to sleep cuddled up to me. I dozed off too, and dh came in at 3:22 and woke us up, pointing out that her appointment was at 3:30! Got there and she was all set to do mmr as well, but I wanted that one on its own, so she just had the hib/mc one.

Head a bit better today, but still not good.

Frizbe · 08/03/2007 20:29

Flame even I won't eat those!
(dh says to warn your man, he's going to check out their guild next week, another member ahoy!)

CSWS sorry I thought I'd read the drugs were kicking in hope they have by now tho, as MRM solution was a bit drastic

3K sorry to hear that, may I suggest if he continues in this manner as well, apart from taking him to the cleaners
(joke) that he does dog share too, fairs, fair and you need a break from them too.

Chloe and Macca sorry to hear your both poorly too

Jelley I will try and re upload those pics again this weekend when I have more time, so you can see my little dahling

MRM run today, woman, run!!

So lovely weather today eh? weeded the border whilst dd2 napped this am and dd1 at pre-school, covereed in damn bindweed, but I've got the lot out! then did park this afternoon, which it turns out is closing next week for a 6 week re-vamp, so should be great in summer just hoping they don't get rid of the paddling pool.

ah ha! so a tad better then, and good for a sleep hopeing your lots better for the weekend
Flame/MRM just reading your favourite pirates daughter is very poorly

Frizbe - you may not eat them, but i betcha don't eat the googly eyes either.

DH is now questioning me about character levels and things... my response was "i don't knooooooooooooooooow" that could easily have been translated to I don't care!

My friend looked at me like I was the crazy earthy lady the other day when I said he wasn't having mmr until he is the right size for it I forget that where I am only mildly lentil weaving on here, I am very according to my rl group of friends!

Soupy - maybe the eyes are a brain food and it works a bit like fish oils?!

My DS regularly does forward rolls... and he does them in a really fancy way so he does a backflip type thing off of stools, chairs, toyboxes.....
