fatbetty, lo's under 2 cant take the tablet thing for threadworms, but they can take the powder stuff, not too sure ow young tho, dd had worms when she was about 19 month and she had to have the powder stuff, and so did i as i was pregnant. worked tho, got rid of them!

debz, yes my pics are on my comp but it says they are too big to put on a member profile!

well keiran was weighed today ( i have increased contact coz of the PND and they like to see me at clinic once a week so he's being weighed most weeks) and he was 12lb 8oz! big fat chub! he was 7lb born and hes only just over 10 weeks! hes on the average line tho so he obviously isnt that big! its just that as he was born the same weight as dd i expected him to be a similar size at a similar age, i jsut looked at her red book, she was 12lb 8oz at 18 weeks! lol, so hes normal and shes tiny i suppose! lol oh well i know they are different babies! still find it a bit odd as keiran only eats 3oz about 6/7 times a day and yet hes putting on almost a lb a week, yet dd ate more, very strange if you ask me!

Mummy2TandF · 16/01/2007 18:17

Well - we went to the doctors and apparently, it is quite common in babys - especially girls [hmmm] The cartlidge(sp?) at the back of her nose hasn't developed properly yet, which causes the snorting, there is nothing that can be done, but at least we know that she isn't suffering with it - the doc said that if the noise is bothering me too much I could use saline drops to lubricate and stop the snuffling, but as long as I know that she is not uncomfortable I can cope with the noise Hope everyone else is okay - wow Stacey - Keiran is a chubba it's lovely to see them gaining weight well though isn't it.

staceym11 · 16/01/2007 20:26

oh my god nj.. he's huge! (but doesn't look it on the phto) ryan was 10lb 10oz last week, and i think he was born heaviier thn george too! what ae you feeding him, steak? keep up the good work!

NatalieJane · 17/01/2007 12:47

I know he is huge, I actually asked the HV if we should be worried that he is gaining so much so quickly (he has put on nearly 5lb since birth) and she said there wasn't anything to worry about, so if she isn't worried neither am I.

I did have some other queries, firstly he has really dry skin which she has prescribed some cream for, secondly, he has really clicky shoulders, she said she had spoken to the physio (I mentioned them last time she was here) and she said that he said as long as it isn't hurting hima nd he is moving his arms freely then there is nothing to worry about, and then she went on to say that as he get's older and starts to pull or tug on things that he may well dislocate his shoulders and we will be back and forth to A&E to put them back in - really looking forward to that! And the third thing was that his belly button still hasn't healed, it is clean and no infection in it but it has a permanent scab on it, she didn't seem too bothered by it, basically said it might heal eventually with a bit of a lip on it that can be silver nitrated (or something like that) and it will fall off... lovely, I'm sure oh and the other thing, when DS1 was born, he had a hairy back at the base of his spine, he had to have an ultrasound on it because it can be the indicator of a certain bone disorder, it was clear and he just has a hairy back, George has it as well, so I don't know if we are going to have to have him scanned aswell or not, but other than all of that, everything is fine He had a bit of a growth spurt again last night so I have been awake most of the night feeding, but he seems to have settled back to his normal routine again now. And I am off to get some more lunch - I am eating for 6 at the moment!!

i didn't take it that way, don't worry... the photo didn't come out so well when it was shrunk! i think the new photo shows his monkey face better!

saralou100 · 17/01/2007 16:34

totally forgot to tell you all about dp's appointment yesterday! much to dp's horror he had to drop his trousers, i'm sat on the other side of the curtains pissing myself laughing while he coughs! dp was a bit traumatised by the whole experience, i pointed out my lack of sympathy after giving birth twice now and displaying my fanjo to colleagues no less! i win on that one!!

him having the snip is a bit final, but my family is complete.. i never want to be pregnant or have to give birth again! it saves messing about with contaception, which we have proved useless at... ds1 was the only pregnancy i've planned yet i've been pregnant 4 times! ryan is the best accident i've ever had though! so now we just gotta wait for the actual appointmen to have the deed done!

amyjade · 17/01/2007 17:47

I wouldn't worry about the weight gain NJ i had Fraser weighed yesterday and he's 14lb 3!! which is also just over 5lb since birth, he looks about 4 months old not 9 weeks.

Fraser had his immunisations with his baby check yesterday, screamed his head off bless him but thankfully has been fine since.
Fraser is still waking twice during the night am the only one who has a baby that doesn't sleep even in the day he only kat naps.

I will post a recent picture of him later.

NatalieJane · 18/01/2007 09:44

Sara Ryan is gorgeous PMSL at your DP Put a smile on my face after the wind had just blown it off!

I was supposed to be going into town today, but I don't think I'll bother, it is like a hurricane out there, bits of trees blowing down the road, poor DS1 was nearly blown off his feet (stop sniggering at the back!! His little face was a picture, took everything I had not to fall apart laughing at him LOL Cruel cruel cruel mummy!!)

Ah well, on with the sodding washing, I think I am going to start telling them all to wear dirty clothes, why is it that I am the only one deemed capable of sorting out a load of washing and putting in the machine? And yet when DH is trying to find a certain shirt to wear it is my fault that it is in the laundry basket?!!

saralou100 · 18/01/2007 09:56

was also going into town today, but am gonna stay where it's warm and dry and breeze free!

also got lots of washing... why has one small child tripled my washing loads?

all i relly wanna do is go back to bed... i need sleeeeeeeeep! ryan would not settle last night, eating constantly! must be his growth spurt!

NatalieJane · 18/01/2007 09:58

I am with you there Sara, last two nights we have been up all night feeding, still want another baby though, so it can't be that bad!!

saralou100 · 18/01/2007 10:03

your mad! ds1 is running rings round me today! he's developed this lovely piercing scream, which he appears to be doing for the fun of it! just running round the house screaming...

NatalieJane · 18/01/2007 10:05

DS1 went through a stage of that, distraction distraction distraction, colouring always used to quieten him down, if that helps?

saralou100 · 18/01/2007 10:10

he has been colouring.... on the walls have just given up chasing him with a nappy! he's currently sat playing nicely with his cars saying 'toot toot' over and over..

Debbsyandson · 18/01/2007 10:41

Sara pmsl at your dh story, and Ryan is gorgeous.

Amy my son catnaps too during the day,and also peeps when you think hes asleep, put him down in his moses basket then he peeps at you then his eyes shoot wide open.
