Thanks Debs, we had a lovely time DS loves the train, lots of people to smile at!!

Poor little boy has tummy ache. He usually "goes" 3 - 4 times a day but hasn't been since yesterday lunch time (plenty of wet nappies though). He just cries and cries after each feed until he falls asleep, it's not even real crying, just whinging really. I have given him some v watered down prune juice this pm to help things along and hope it works soon - I want my happy little content boy back. He wouldn't let me put him down either this morning - v tiring

podglet · 22/02/2007 17:23

Ooooh, have to rant now. i have a very evil SIL (she once told me that if I had a baby before she did, she would kill me and take the baby . I am still waiting.) she currently lives with her DP about 40 mins away (not far enough if you ask me). She has today decided that she is going to move back here (without her DP) so she can be nearer friends and family as she misses DS and feels that he is her "surrogate baby" wTF???? NO HE ISN'T. Sorry, will stop shouting now. I do not trust her further than I can throw her - she has done some very evil things in her time. I have no idea what to say to her now "please don't come near us again" isn't going to go down well. advice and sympathy required please

Schmiza - Verity, 22nd Nov, me 29, DH 37. live in Essex

(Not sure how to add to the main list)

Week has gone by in blur. Different issues every day, the other night she was waking every 2 hours, then today she is rejecting bottles! Had a mental health day yesterday and spent most of the day in bed without doing anything to regain my energy and motivation. She's not putting on much weight at all dispite adding in loads more formula but she is healthy and very jolly most of the time and HV not worried.

saralou100 · 22/02/2007 18:21

podgelet, just don't give her the opportunity, if she wants to come see him, tell her your busy... unless she's extremely dumb, in which case you'll have no choice but to tell it like it is!!

she sounds a bit childish imo

saralou100 · 22/02/2007 18:22

oh and a ((((((hug)))))) for the sympathy part

Charleesunnysunsun · 22/02/2007 19:15

Family eh podglet!
My MIL is just as bad. She hasn't seen Harry yet, it's a long story but i will tell it anyway!

It was all aranged that she would come over and watch Jack while i was in labour with harry so Dp could be with me.
It got to the night so i phoned DP from the hospital and asked him to phone MIL as i needed him NOW! SO he did and she said she wasn't coming to our house as it wasn't clean enough for her standards!
Bearing in mind my house is very clean and as you all remember i had terrible SPD so was immoblie for a few weeks before Harry was born.
So we haven't spoken to her since except to inform her that Jack had been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis as we felt she should know.
She just banged on about how she would have to have her house adapted if Jack was going to be backward and disabled! And she said it must have come from my family as there was no such s**t in her's.

So basicly she's not nice! We don;t speak to or see her anymore.

Lol i have been meaning to tell you all about that story.

Just wanted to post anyway to tell you of my triumph i got harry to bed and fast asleep at 6pm tonight after a lavendar massage there were zero tears!

Right well ds is not happy tonight, think hes got a tummy ache, poor little thing!

dd is a cow bag and even tho shes knackered every day she still wont do day time sleeps so its all a bit stressful!

as you can see i now have internet, i will tell the whole story when iv got a minute!

Oh and iv managed to go without food shopping (except fruit and veg from the market) for 3 weeks, we've run out of basically everything now, but i wont mind going tesco every 3 weeks!

oh and my re usable nappies are on their way tomo, but do need to get some before as i have no disposables left but i got £20 mothercare vouchers from childrens mutual as i set a direct debit up to ds's child trust fund!

saralou100 · 22/02/2007 21:34

oh my god charlee, my mouth is hanging open at the blatant rudeness of that woman! hope your dp gave her agood talking to and corrected her ignorance! cowbag !!!

lol stacey at the damn hamster!

it's ds1's 2nd birthday on saturday! where my baby gone?!! so tomorrow i shall mostly be tidying the house and getting everything sorted! i made some cakes and stuff today with ds1 to take to nursery, which was fun, but oh so messy!

staceym11 · 22/02/2007 21:52

oh saralou i remember that feeling that my baby disappeared into thin air! my dd just seems to get more and more independant (no sh*t) and i dont know whats happening!

and charlee i too and ed at your MIL

i thought it was bad enough my MIL hasn't been to see our new flat and we've been here nearly a year (coz she cant smoke here) acctually i think if i hadnt taken ds to see her she wouldnt have come to see him! she keeps buying us presents that will blatently not fit in our flat but she dont knwo that coz she wont visit! aaarrrgghh! can you guess we're not the best of friends?!?!

podglet · 23/02/2007 08:59

Morning all,

Thanks for the sympathy last night. I made DP read the text she had sent and he was astounded.

Debbsy - I would tell her straight but she is prone to violence (we refer to her as the "cycle-path"). She has previously attacked her sister with a set of carving knives and was expelled for stamping on another girls head wearing a pair of stilettos.

We are off to our first baby massage class this morning. DS slept well last night but is still grumpy and tearful this morning. Am hoping he cheers up after his nap.

Charlee - & at your MIL, she sounds even worse. what a terrible thing to say about your own grandson. for you too.

Debbsyandson · 23/02/2007 09:09

Podge gawd i would steer clear then you sounds a right nutter, let us know how baby massage goes im trying to find somewhere round here that does it(((hugs)))
Charlee and for you too as if you dont have enough on your plate!!! ((((hugs)))
Well i had a lovely sleep ds went from last bottle at 9 till ten past 6 this morn wow ive actually had a good nites sleep.
Bethbe have you tried Zac in a grobag because im convinced thats whats helped ds be more rested. What i do is bath him at 8 maasage him, sleepsuit on then i put him in his grobag, give him his bottle, talk and sing to him in our bed, rock him to sleep and put him in his moses basket. There is no faffing with blankets that could disturb him,and he seems to more settled since i started using one.

saralou100 · 23/02/2007 12:33

hello!!!!

i'll second the growbag thing! much easier to settle ds2 since i've been using his!

just took ds1 to nursery, i had to look at his development folder and sign it off so he can move up a group next week... i had to stop myself crying at it (see debbs, it never stops ) reading alll the comments and looking at all the photo's made me all emotional! my baby! (who manged to put the house phone in my tea this morning! grrr)

ds2 decided to wake at 4.30 last night (first time in ages) but ds1 slept through (first time since we put him in his big boy bed) i'm sure those 2 are conspiring with each other against us!

i need to motivate myself, gotta tidy this house

ds2

Debbsyandson · 23/02/2007 13:32

Sara lol ive been a bit teary this morning too as ds growing so fast in 3 to 6 clothes now.

podglet · 23/02/2007 13:40

I cried buckets too Debbsy when I put DS in 3-6 month stuff (((hug))) back for you.

Baby massage was great, v relaxed. DS seemed to enjoy it too (nodded off at the end so it must have done some good). We do ours through Sure Start bu HV's may be able to help with local groups?

I third the grobags - DS loves his although he is nearly too long for the 0-6 month ones. It really helps settle him back down during the night.

saralou100 · 23/02/2007 14:45

i've done the bedroom... surely thats enough now?

no? on i go then

why don't i clean more often... why do i only do it properly when people are coming.
i hate housework

Debbsyandson · 23/02/2007 15:19

get it done Sara go on xx

staceym11 · 23/02/2007 15:21

well dd is now in reusable nappies and ds will be when we run out of disposables! only problem i had was the pack i got off ebay hasn't arrived yet so i was using some wraps donated to me, and they aren't waterproof anymore!!! so dd has had 3 lots of clothes on today and we had to go to town to buy cheap mothercare waterproof pants (they are absolutely horrible) but for £6 to cover them both till we get the new ones it wasn't bad!

right sara i too must do housework, only because i have been neglecting it all week, just been so knackered for no reason!
