Hi all,

Debbsy - gosh they are a bit mean aren't they you were only trying to be nice.

Had DS weighed on Tuesday and at 3 months (oh good grief, where has the time gone?) is now 14lb 1oz! He had his second lot of jabs on Thursday and was a really good boy. Gave him a dose of Calpol an hour beforehand and there were no tears afterwards. I cried though... silly mummy

Stacey, sounds like DD is being a really good girl without her dummy and a lovely idea to get her to give them up.

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the sunshine

staceym11 · 03/02/2007 16:59

Hi everyone, my its quiet around here at the weekends!!

well dd is still being good, me and dh have started to do a lot more together in evenings etc (like oging out for walks or playing board games) which is great and means we'r communicating better. I'm feeling an awful lot better in myself but still have some bad days! cant expect anything else really!

ds seems to be eating a lot better now hopefully he'll have put on some weight this week. we've got quite a good routine now with keeping him off the right side of his head, i have him in the carrier a lot more now rather than the buggy as it keeps the weight off his head! trying to get him to play on his tummy but he hates it so its kinda hard. he does sit in the walker to play tho so hes not on his back all the time!

right should probably go need to start thinking about dinner i suppose!

saralou100 · 03/02/2007 21:50

it's been very quiet all week!

i'm in a bad mood today, since the minute i woke up. everyones irritating me.. ds1 keeps pointing and whinging and i don't know what he wants.. the dog keeps woofing at me and i don't know what he wants.. and ryan, well i know what he wants - food! all he does is eat that boy!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Debbsyandson · 03/02/2007 22:03

staceym11 · 03/02/2007 22:25

saralou i have days like that too......it all gets a bit too much, but there are good days too! hopefully tomorrow will be a good day for you!

Mummy2TandF · 04/02/2007 17:01

Hi everyone - It is sooo quite here at the weekends, maybe it's just me who doesn't have a life
stacey - I wish dh and I would do more things together, he either comes home from work and falls asleep on the settee or he pops round his brothers/friends/mums/anywhere it seems except for being here
This should make you all laugh - I rushed around allday on Friday, we went to playgroup with ds from 10-12:30, then I went into town and had some lunch rudhes dd to the doctors for her injections at 2:00 because she was booked into to have photos take at 2:45, but when I got to the doctors our appt wasn't until Tuesday 6th My brain has dissapeared completely - they were kind enough to do them anyway, so she has now had her 2nd lot of jabs

saralou100 · 04/02/2007 19:06

yes, yesterday was a very bad day! today much better, but then i had dp at home with me... we even managed to go to the pub for sunday lunch... yummy!

we have a busy week this week.. dp's off for the chop tomorrow then tuesday his mums coming to stay to finally meet ryan and she's bringing her work camera to take his first professional shots, so i'm very excited about that.. and then at the weekend a good friend is getting married, which i'm very very excited about (i love weddings!!!) got my outfit all sorted, don't look too bad if i do say so myself.. it hides all the wibbly wobbly bits!! i'm gonna get soooooooo drunk (for the first time in nearly a year - why has it been so long - and why am i so sad that i can remember the last time i got drunk!)

Bethbe · 04/02/2007 20:08

No probs Debbsy, - Kaybee once stood up for me when I was having a hard time on a thread and it helped me a lot!

Stacey - good to hear today was better!

Where's NJ these days?

Bethbe · 04/02/2007 20:14

Sorry, - I meant SL! I'm glad your day was better, - although I hope yours was too Stacey!

staceym11 · 04/02/2007 23:07

Hi everyone,
Glad your day was better SL.

Well ds is doing a lot better with eating now, he manages about 4 ozs at almost every feed now which is great!

dd is still doing well without her dummy, however terrible twos has well and truely hit and now everything is a battle even if its something she normally likes she jsut has decided now is not the time, PITA if you ask me! lol

Right should go, off to bed soon!

podglet · 05/02/2007 11:03

morning,

Debbsy, I know only too well the struggle whilst ttc - it took over 2 years to get my lovely boy but there is no need for mean-ness! Glad it is sorted.

good luck to Sara's DP for today

Well, after many days of good sleeps (4-5 hours twice a night, with a 15 min feed inbetween) DS has been up every 2 hours for the past 2 nights and was up from 3.30am yesterday, trying to convince me he had done enough sleeping and surely it was play time now? think it might be the 12 week growth spurt I though we had avoided and he has foxed me by having it at 13 1/2 weeks!

NatalieJane · 05/02/2007 12:24

Hello everyone

What a week?

I have been away because DS1 spilt juice all in the keyboard, has taken us this long to get a new one sorted!

I have read through the messages quickly, but now can't remember half of it!! But someone struck a cord with getting the weeks mixed up for the injections, I also thought George's was Wednesday last week but it is this week, so he is having his 6 weeks check (at nearly 9 weeks ) and his injections and I am having my post-natal check all on Wednesday afternoon!

We had a few days of 'unsettledness' with George, he has some real problems bringing his wind up at times, he doesn't scream like you would a colicy baby does, but he just wouldn't settle, after a few days of not really knowing what to do to help him, I gave in and gave him some baby rice, mixed with EBM, he has been back to my happy little boy since, he has the baby rice in the evening just before our dinner, and I put him on the breast after he has the rice then he just sleeps, and sleeps, and sleeps!!! Last night he went from 11.30 till 6.30

fatbetty · 05/02/2007 12:49

Good afternoon! So glad to hear that a few of you are getting a good night sleep. Madeleine decided to wake up this morning at 4 and wouldn't go back to sleep. Just wanted to chat. Finally ended up putting her in bed with me and fed her laying down so I could rest.

I've been incredibly dizzy the last week - mostly in the afternoons. Just wondering if any of you are also experiencing this. I was thinking I might be anemic - but blood tests have come back normal. I'm still taking iron pills as my diet isn't the greatest (as well as prenatal vitamins). I find I'm just craving sweets to get the sugar rush. Don't know if it's just because I'm exhausted too. I've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off this last week. My inlaws are down on Wednesday and looking forward to just handing the kids over to them.

saralou100 · 05/02/2007 13:15

hello everybody! ryan has finally caught a cold of us all! he woke at 3 this morning and was screaming his little heart out... dp slept through it! he was then laying for ages snuffling around in his moses basket.. and this morning he just won't settle, he's only slept in the car, and as soon as i stop he's awake again.. ds1 on the other hand slept all night, then at about 9.30 he curled up on the sofa and went to sleep, all on his own... not even a dummy - that has never happened before!

i really should do some tidying before mil comes tomorrow... but i can't be arsed!

fatbetty, could be dehydration causing dizzyness, how much are you drinking? does the dizzyness come on when you stand or is it always their? i'm terrible at drinking, i get to the evening and realise that i've had 2 cups off tea all day, particularly when im busy busy busy!

Debbsyandson · 05/02/2007 14:00

Saralou ds had a cold last week got him saline nasel drops and he has been a lot better. Also tilt his moses basket up on one end (top) use yellow pages or some thing of that thickness that helped ds.
Podgelet me too i can remember you from the ttc threads,i look at ds every morning when i wake up and it just makes my day i cant beeive he is really mine and he smiled for the first time this weekend i bawled my eyes out, what a special thing he did and it melted me ive posted a picture on mp.
nj me too postnatel check and ds inj on friday, dh has booked the day im too wimpy to go on my own.I have also got a trip to the hospital soon for a scan as ive had a lump with a broken vein on my leg since ds was born,i have got to go and get it checked out dr said if not gone, well it hasnt gone its got a little bigger,so got to have it scanned.Hope everyone else is well xx

saralou100 · 05/02/2007 14:22

i had my post-natal check today... jabs are gonna be next week, when he'll be 9 wks old! unfortunately my yellow pages is currently propping up ds1's bed as he has a very bad cough with his cold... maybe the neighbours will let me borrow theirs!!

Thank you - done that!

Mummy2TandF · 05/02/2007 17:33

Oh saralou - If only I still looked like that add a few pounds and a lot of wrinkles and you might get the idea - that pic was taken before kids , I haven't yet managed to get a nice pic of ds and dd together - ds is normally poking her or something , your biys are soo cute and podglet - What a little cutie! ... right I must stop being nosey on hear and make a start on dinner - have just upset dh, I called him to say I can't pick him up from the station tonight - I don't think it is fair to drag the dc's out at this time of night in this horrible weather especially when they bith have colds ..... He was not impressed and said what about him in the cold weather - My answer was something along the lines of you are 36 years old, I couldn't really give a toss sorry about that but as you can see he is still really annoying me anyway really am off now

Mummy2TandF · 05/02/2007 17:35

In the last post - Your biys - should have read your boys
Hear - shoulod have read here
and bith - should have read both ...... I think I need a reast LOL!!
